Filian took 11 painful tazings, but I feel _far more_ sympathy for whitedexfi having to censor a trillion flashbangs.

Seeing those random little bits of this playthrough in clips made me worried for her wellbeing, but she actually knows her way around the game so that's a relief.

I would like her to play Dragons dogma 1 (because it is made to die so you can reroll loot and sometimes hard monster just appears and kills you in a hit [though that may be because i always go first to BBI]) or any Staleker game on Master diff (as you can often die in one hit).

@@xxXXRAPXXxx try hardcore, mimic's will start using high exequy, and the minotaur loves to spam grab, and the ogre that freaking ogre.
@@ashwolf2006 If you are mk just lighting riposte (when fighting eliminators also use ice sword) and just bait rushes (eliminators are easier to bait than elder ogres). Sure you need good shield for this but at least you can do something not like those fucking mimics that have no tell, your pawns are braindead and if you are just alone then just use a wakestone (they made escapes from grabs too hard especially if like me you are playing on keyboard). Mimics are the worst addition they made as it incentivizes just ignoring chests and going for the ones you know are safe. A mob good in theory but made literal shit. As for harcore (i guess you mean one life) as rerolling loot is tied to death i don't see the point. It just means you will spend 50 times more time farming for what you need to do any real damage. A game needs to be just right to be permadeath viable (for me far cry 3 on master difficulty one life was awesome as you could die in like a hit or 2 but if you felt the jungle you could go through it all just fine though disabling music was required for me at least.).
My condolences to the editor who had to censor all those roll flashbangs.
all things considered I'm surprised to see filian is aware of ds1 speedrun strats, her timing and pathing was actually great

Might just be my experience, but a quick note about the skull lantern: it’s actually a guaranteed drop if you kill ALL of the necromancers in the catacombs. I think people are so used to rushing the area that they miss one of them and assume that the lantern is a lucky drop (which it admittedly is otherwise), but I have never missed the lantern myself because I make sure I kill all of the necromancers.
Also, nice job on the run! I consider myself a DS1 veteran and I think you actually did better with your build than I do when I play normally!
Why do you even need this lantern if it's easier to buy a light spell? it does not require a hand and costs the minimum cost of character characteristics. For casual passing, that's the thing.
Bro i really enjoyed getting to see filian actually sit down and play a proper game. It was different and a lot of fun 😅
