Trippy Melodic Bass Grooves with Delay

- Funky good times on my Cortex bass with some fun melodies and grooves with single repeat delay. Using just one repeat on the delay pedal gives great opportunity for harmony when performing a solo piece like this, locked in the rhythm every note can be met with realtime harmonization, highly addictive! I’m playing a Swiss Cortex bass loaded with Nordstrand Dual Coil pickups and strung up with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys. To get this sound I used a Walrus Audio D1 delay, a Darkglass Hyper Luminal, Alpha Omega and a Rodenberg 707b Booster, I dialed in some lows on the Glockenklang preamp on the bass and have the pickup balance slightly towards the bridge, no post processing or plugins used. This Cortex bass has a walnut top, mahogany body, maple fingerboard and chocolate maple neck, cheers to luthier Paul Lairat and Pierre Camilleri for their craftsmanship, absolutely love it! The signal was recorded straight into a Focusrite Saffire pro 24 into Cubase, drums were made with Korg pads and Addictive Drums, mastering was done with Ozone 4. @@jefferyfournier6264 No, with a banjo, one's thumb plucks away at the 5th string, often times to drone, but it stays there. Their fingers also sit at more of a guitar fingerstyle position and often dig in their fingernails a bit to create a more twangy and pronounced tone. Remco isn't doing any of that here. Remco has his own finger plucking bass technique that, as far as I can tell, is unique to him.
This reminds me of how many times I took a look at how unusually short my fingers are, and then asked myself "why, why, why... did I pick bass guitar as my instrument" lol. But it has been good times with it. Great video, love these grooves.
