i’m VERY new to ck3, and after you revealed the vassals tip about the secondary goals to make them even happier a huge grin spread across my face. this game is so fucking deep. it’s what i’ve been looking for.
@@lvcky2711 I haven't touched the game in a while but i think you can make it instant if i recall, i didn't want this cause things could lock accidentally but hey, whatever works for you! I do recall having to click on the damn wheel of the mouse was especially annoying though hehehe! And this 0.3 setting was giving me that cool feeling i was using some kind of futuristic technology or something, really cool stuff!!
Here's a good tip, you can greatly increase your childs chance of "taking vows" and removing them from succesion if you change their education focus to learning
I have 2 battle tips of my own. A. The AI knows when you set it's tile for your armies destination, set a destination for an adjacent tile instead and attack from there. This way you will play the catch a rabbit game less often. B.You can teleport your men at arms anywhere in your lands and spawn/despawn them instantly. To do this you need to set a waypoint where you want them to teleport. Then click on the waypoint and select raise all here. Then click on split army, select the first one, exit, select both armies via hold and drag and click merge. Now you can move it. Alternatively you can select every single one of your units on the first army and put it on the second until the first army is no more and then set a leader, but the first method is faster. Since the army will have no levies it can despawn instantly and you can respawn it anywhere with the same method, effectively teleporting it. Furthermore a heavy infantry 10k late game army will stack wipe everything so you don't need levies anyway. It would take a several times larger light infantry army to give you trouble and you are not going to see that ever in single player. C (bonus). Realize that the game does not actually support attacking in multiple fronts atm, meaning there do not exist the mechanics in the game that would allow you to do that effectively, therefore forget about it and avoid it.
It's far better to just never battle the AI and just siege down their counties until they capitulate. The AI won't initiate combat with a superior stack of units, they'll just sit peacefully and watch while your armies sack their capital.
@@mitchtherevolution it still relevant in some cases 1- it's useful against raiders 2- it's useful again IA armies who got more siege engines (they win if you "siege race them) 3- if you are a defender and you try to fast cut the path of small armies from allies who are trying to join the main battles 4- if you are a defender and you are trapping an enemy army in a favorable terrain There are a lot of cases where you NEED to know how to actually chase and catch an army as fast as possible If it's not any of theses points yeah you could avoid bothering yourself and just go for the capital.
@@GhostStyle007 In almost every single situation you listed it is better to preserve troop numbers and maneuver them into a winning situation by area denial. 1. Raiders will almost always run away without combat. 2. AI armies with faster siege times will also run away. 3. You can usually prevent the AI from joining up armies by simply running them around the map. Especially if you can run an invading through attrition territory. 4. You're defending and have trapped an army, just keep them trapped. The AI is terrible at maneuvering and coordinating armies so keeping your troop forces as high as possible is imperative to maintaining a strong position.
what i recommend for a funny journey is to change lifestyle in every succession. You could for exemple start with a Martial life style for early conquest and extension, then switch to stewardship lifestyle to stabilize your empire. And when you are wealthy enough and everything is fine go for a religion, culture, alliances , murders, seduction, and all the funny stuff you got in the game. PS: the order doesn't matter, the one i gave seems more beginner friendly in my opinion.
would love to see a video on "how to survive holy wars" playing as an iberian muslim faction when the pope declares war on you is legit impossible, every time i play its 50,000 crusaders against about 10,000 muslim defenders not sure how you would ever win that. but still fun none the less :)
'Always try to have at least 3/400 gold in case of a curveball' What? How? I don't think my gold has ever been that high, certainly not to leave that much as a buffer. TF am I doing wrong???
This is exceptionally difficult at the start of a game, but I would recommend you get that Stewardship perk that allows you to demand payment for hooks, and then get your spymaster working to find them. If you can land a few noble secrets, you're looking at 50 gold per payment.
In a way it depends on how it's spent, you can be greedy to collect money, but in this terms he's spent all his money on the war constantly greeding for land, so technically he needs to be greedy with money and not constant long distance wars to save himself in the long run xD
Nice vid, don't want to be overcritical, but the tips were quite useless.... what was even the last one, some kind of placeholder? "play as you want" .... C'mon
If you obviously didn't play CK2 then you really shouldn't be wasting people's time with a tip's and tricks video. You're just clogging up UA-cam and making it more difficult to find information from people who actually know what they're talking about.
whats the point of having vassels in the first place`? i have like 120 hr in this game now and i still unable to understand basic mechanics. the ai is poorly designed in this game to a point where its simply not fun to play
You have a Domain Limit of counties you can directly hold and going above that produces severe penalties. That's the primary reason for handing out titles to other characters. Duchies in particular need to be handed out as you are only supposed to hold 2 at any one time. Ignore these rules and you will likely face a lot of wars from your subjects because they expect to be granted titles. Vassals provide you with a percentage of their soldiers and taxes according to their feudal contract and your realm authority law, so you still get some benefit from titles you don't directly hold. I've had a ton of fun playing CK3.

0.3 lock timer on popups feels 2000 times smoother than having to click on a mouse wheel every 10 seconds. Just trust me on this one.
I just switched to mouse wheel cus I hated waiting.. is 0.3 the lowest it can go? I want it to be kinda instantaneous lol

I wouldn’t set your GUI to 90% for videos. I struggled to read anything

Jeeze this sounds like a job for a CK expert! What a ruthless task lol
Have you tried pretending to be Christian?
Love it

I would say sticking around for long tutorials DOES categorise me. That's what I hate most about CK3 ATM.
Ah the prophet has posted again

Guys I bought shadow of War, and I wanna now when I unlock the power to control the various commanders?!

I think the best thing about this guys tips is the option to watch it and not know how to beat the game just play.

mitchtherevolution lol you’re grumpy.
Butbutbut.... "play the way you want" - wasn't that a useful tip? :D
You are absolutely right btw.
