They lean on him because he's strong, they rail and beat against him in frustration, hurt or anger because he bears it. They don't think about the cost to him because he doesn't show it, until it's nearly too much for him to carry any more. What would they do without him?
Heavy is the head that wears the crown. I always love those type of characters, the parent figures, the ones who take everyone's crap but do all the work. People are drawn to the fun loving bad boy rebels, but it is people like Alec who do all the work that allow people like that to exist. It is like Mycroft in Sherlock, without him Sherlock would be dead or in jail or have to have a real job, but Sherlock is the star. Alec has the best smile, like it lights up his whole face. It is nice to see him get to smile more.
k333999 Smith If Jace is gold, then Alec is silver. He’s so used to people not looking towards him. He doesn’t expect them to. People don’t always realize it but silver is rarer than gold
I've always loved Alec. Even in the books, if I remember correctly, he hadn't killed a demon because he always hung back and was the healer watching everyones back. He is awesome.
Alec is one of those people who may seem standoffish, a bit cold at first but once he cares for you he cares for you strongly and shows it in his own way.
I love that such a beautiful soul as Alec found a perfect partner in an equally amazing person Magnus. The boy just knows to love and love, it pained me a lot in the beginning of the show when he was in the back always and his shoulders hunched. He looked so sad and confused and hurt until he met Magnus. They grew together, a perfect fit. This video was just so amazing capturing the best of Alec
I love that Magnus is pretty much the one that opened Alec’s heart and made him the warm and fuzzy type! But I hate how it happened when he was an adult! He deserved to open up so much earlier than that 💓
@@Matsumiyalover in the books, I had a really hard time warming up to Jace. He always was too self-centered. Never really considered how his actions would affect the people around him. I don't think he ever truly considered why Alec was the way he was.
My boy with his bruised heart. I love the comment that he loves till it hurts. Only when he met Magnus he learnt that he is also worthy of such love. The times that really pained my heart was when Jace shouted at him for losing Clary and when Izzy told him that he didn't even notice her Yin Fen problem. Even Magnus took it out on him because of the Soul Sword. But my boy love and forgive with such an openness and innocence the Angel will surely bless him.
No, no, I understand. Alec alone vids are fun too. I was just pointing out that Izzy saying that about Alec was early on and Alec has come a long way with some credit to Magnus for that. So Izzy herself wouldn't say that of the Alec now :)
Magnus didn't create Alec's soft, loving heart under his armor. But he did help Alec accept that it was ok to show it, & that it was ok to allow himself to want things for a personal life, not just duty & job. He made Alec feel safe enough to do that, & to want it enough to risk breaking with his family & culture...pretty big influence, all right.
Cammie Martin: this video captured everything about Alec. His ability to change his moods, he might not be "warm and fuzzy", but he's got that side that he lets slip every once and a while. I enjoy watching videos like this one because editors like you can find the exact moments when a person lets there other side shine through. It fits the description you put. Honestly, I loved it. I love anything related to Alec or #Malec.
