It took only EIGHT minutes for someone to claim the badge 🤯
What should we give away next video?
A cut up panel Goonzquad style? Something broken in the wreck?
Comment your ideas 👇
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 just anything other than. Thin gauge sheet metal. That's been cut up into small squares. Cause you know, that sounds like a great idea. I wonder if anybodys kid has cut the f**k out of themselves yet???????
I know send out glitter bombs. But instead of glitter, there's ground up. Fiberglass dust from that corvette inside. 🤣🤣
@@bretjjjohnson7942 🤣🤣
Your 911 to the UK would be fair ( With sorted engine obvs) 😂
@@tomtht3355 you mean I have to fix it before I give it away!?
Always enjoy seeing a Corvette that’s in my price range. 🤣
🤣
Damn thing probably still went for 5k. Lol

Dynamat was installed on the rear frame rails to help deaden the noise from a rear end collision. 🙂
I wonder if it was effective? Fred
SMH I can't believe I didn't put that together
After watching endless episodes of Gas Monkey Garage and West Coast Customs build some fancy shit it's nice to see videos like this. Whatever hit that Vette wasn't playin', I've never seen a transmission tunnel twisted like that!
Im guessing it was parked to close to a corner, a trash truck came, turned and its back smashed the car.
Great tear down but I would have worn a mask with all that fiberglass dust flying with the sawzal cutting!
Without a second thought. We only have 2 lungs, and a mask is much cheaper than being 50 on an iron lung machine. I am 54 and started bodywork and painting vehicles at 9 years old. I always had a mask on....
Fun to watch. Good job, guys. RIP Vette.
crazy how hard this car must have been hit, hope you didn't pay too much for this mess. great video, as always, thanks guys.
Great series man I like that it's a shame about the Corvette but hopefully you can repurpose some of the parts excellent show man keep it going
Emblem is coming to me to stick to my tool box. Lol
Thanks guys!
Fastest DM ever!
Congratulations! Fred
Watching you pull that emblem off to send to one of your subs was enough to get me to subscribe. You seem like a good-natured guy. Well done sir!
I obviously underestimated the demand! We got something like 100 messages
The quality of the videos is amazing !
Lol you guys will do fine with this show . Keep up the halarious work. auto wreaking is a skill of its own. 😎👍
Bowling for the trees was hilarious‼️

I’d love to see what recycling you do with the scrap you don’t use. Keep up the good work boys 👍🏻
Steel/chassis all go to the same place, the rest gets sold accordingly, especially cats.
On their Instagram they post the videos of the car at the scrap yard
How do I contact you for parts?
I enjoyed all of it keep it coming guys thxs
Hey bud great content love watching it as much as possible
Excellent video - loved it!
Great job,enjoyed it a lot,thanks
That was cool. Heartbreaking, but cool!
I Just went into my garage and hugged my 2012 red grand sport. Tough to watch this video
Wish you best of luck with yours!
I work at Western auto up on Main Street in Stevensville. I have become addicted to your guy’s videos. Trying to roll the wheel just had me cracking up.
Glad you’re enjoying them! Thanks for watching!
@@scraplifegarage SOMEBODY CALLED YOU TWO SHIT BIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really neat to see one of these be cut apart. 😃
Informative and amusing. How it should be fellas 👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We try!
Guys I've recently started to enjoy your channel. I'm impressed that you cut fiber glass with dust flying in the air any you won't even care to wear a mask...your body your choice I understand but I'd like to see more videos in the future
Cool stuff, enjoyed the teamwork it looked like a heavy dropped Airborne operation from C130 and the parachute failed failed to open!! As far as safety is concerned no broke bone's all is well. Grab a beer & rest and relax and enjoy!!!
It’s my first time watching your channel and got to say pretty Cool.
you lads are great keep them coming
Champion Buckled wheel roller gets the Rubber Medal again!
Wow!!! Breaks your heart seeing such a beautiful car in such a terrible state. Was really cool seeing all the damage and imagining what kind of forces were involved. I think it would have been better for you to show everyone you trying to start car instead of cutting straight to why it's not starting. A little odd, but, hey. Cool content.
It wouldn't even turn over. He pretty much covered what they saw.
Love the proper use of PPE! Gloves, Face Shield, Dust Mask and proper Footwear!
Don’t forget the patented safety squints! Won’t catch me working on a car without them.
The entire ride side falls an inch -- "That was WEAK!" That made my night, then it falls out anyway haha
Truly enjoy the teardown that shows the massive damage to the vehicle. Really want to know how this happened! Amazing how the destruction carries all the way forward.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! It’s crazy to see in person
@@LeeC I'll bet!
Wow! Vary sad. Thanks for the great video.
Love the video!…very cool to see a vette that wrecked!
There it is folks. The Iconic, dime-a-dozen Corvette.
love this show very cool like watching you guys ,fun stuff
Thanks for watching! Filming another one tomorrow night!
The frame rails are so big and lightweight they transfer a lot of resonance sounds, the dynamat helps stop the noise.....
Very fun looking. I used to have a roadrace car and would get cars for free or near free and use the parts on the racecar then part out and scrap. Always found it fun work. I was a single guy operation, so metal was cut to a size I could lift and carry to my trailer. It was interesting to see scrap steel prices over the year. One trip and I could buy myself a large dunkin coffee and a muffin. Next time, I've got enough for 3 tanks of gas. I see you traded the S2000 for a Vette. I did a smaller level version and once needed some discontinued hasport swap mounts. I traded 4 boxes of parts with a guy across the country for them. He sent pickup tags and UPS came up the driveway.
Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 Having seen and loved my first C 1 at 11 years old in 1954 it hurts to see such damage. C 6 's now , I believe best 🎆 for $ . Enjoy ours. 🏄
Hey guy's I'm new to your channel and I really enjoy the way you guy's do a wheelie thanks for sharing your video 📹
I freaking love your guys videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New Upload from Whislindiesel and you guys. Man today was a good day
Spoolin diesel?
Cool video guys!
I feel like we missed the last 1/3 of the teardown, but I enjoyed it, but then again I like wondering through junkyards too.
We do plenty of that on the channel, check out salvage stories! This series is just going to show the heavily damaged parts!
I just tore a part of C3 and everyone tough car to take apart I’ll tell you
Great video bro
It's nice watching all the fiberglass dust. Flying around somebody. Knowing its not me. And I'm perfectly safe from being miserable.
Honestly the car stuff doesn’t bother me, some of the boat stuff however…
@@LeeC it all bothers me. But what's the worst for me. Is sanding fiberglass resin.
keep up the great chevy content
You got it!
Cleatus bought a Corvette with rear end damage. Stripped off the entire body, replaced it with a roll bar, and put an aftermarket rear suspension on the car.
A respirator would go a long way to keep you breathing. The long range damage might not show up now but breathing in all that fiberglass dust will surely show up when you are older.
I was thinking the same thing. Fiberglass is like concrete dust. Once it goes into the lungs it never leaves.
Aye Listen up. That part where he rolled the tape measure up. That tilt back action. Had to slice my fingers up a couple times perfecting that. He is clearly a seasoned pro😂😂😂
Love it Bro
Is that C-6 a "screwed and glued" model like the C-5 ?
If so , cosmetically that damage isn't as bad as it looks. OFC the frame looks screwed , so it would be a BAD job, regardless. I am also assuming that this model used a hydroforrmed frame....
Thx for the upload, good job !
Great vid guys, more please.
You got it boss!
It will run!
They always do! Wish you guys where in MI, I would love to work for you!
Absolutely!
Show us the CARFAX ! LOL.
gosh i was so nervous watching yall removing the rear. ie so much front weight on the lift, and yall removing all the rear weight i was so worried it was gonna tip off the lift. edit: lol you just mentioned it
you cant fix that with noodles and superglue !! hahaha awesome vid !
"The Vette STILL Gets 'Em Wet"...~ the great Bill Paxton, RIP, In 'True Lies, Part 2"
Very cool video. I would love to see real world business translation for the time spent and actual parts salvaged. Based on what you paid and your return on parts salvaged and labor, is it worth it? I’m assuming the motor is worth a lot if you can actually see and hear if it’s good. Be great to hear some numbers. Thanks.
You definitely need to check out the salvage stories playlist!
@@scraplifegarage how can I DM you?
@@scraplifegarage what is that?
@@anthonycucci9206 a series in the channel where I break down a certain car each episode, from cost, to tear down, to profit. Check it out!
My guess is for the dynomat is the exhaust was hitting or rattling against the frame.
Exact same color of my first Corvette... it was hard to handle it when full throttling...rear was "nervous" even with driving controls...
It fell off the back off a car carrier .....driving up Mt. Everest.🤣🤣
You never know!
Thanks guys. Now I knew what the guts of my Vette look like. Same color too.
Make sure you keep yours where they belong!
A little disappointed we didn't get to what other parts were salvageable. I forgot what you said about the flags that came off of the rear fascia but they would look good on my scion xb. Will he looking for a C6 in May 2023 but I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for the entertainment. What was the final $ amount on this salvage project?
Safe to say that the engine , front end etc all salvaged?
Keep rocking
Great video, there's lots of $$$ in the parts buss
You guys are hilarious, “where’d you get that line?”😂
He never told me
@@LeeC speaks volumes on who makes the merch🙄😂
Wow that was nuts, hope the engine was all good
It did indeed test good the next day
totally enjoyed it.
I would have liked to see you do a time lapse to 3 weeks later when you got it to start & run.
Highway pile up due to FOG / ICE and tractor - trailer hit Corvette @ 60mph in rear pass side ! YIKES😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Awesome video
Can you recommend a high quality car cover for my soon to be Viper?
This is actually pretty fun to watch.
Good! That’s the point!
That's a T56 Magnum transmission that's used in the Hellcats and Demons. It's rated at 1,200HP. I didn't know Corvettes used them, but I knew Mustangs Cobra R and 4th gen Camaros do.
The T56 was definitely used for all sorts of cars, Vipers, Mustangs, Corvettes, Ram trucks, but not the Demon, those are dual/multiclutch, the T56 is a 6 speed Manual, I’m sure they swap them in but I don’t think they come with them, maybe an updated version in the older hellcats that were manual
Very interesting! But after watching your complete video, I still don't why you bothered to spend time on it .Can you save the engine and not lose money ?
Fun content. Suggest you wear a mask if cutting fibre glass.
Good stuff gents!
Interesting video!
I LOLed my ass off when I saw this, and cried a little, because at first I thought it was MY C6. Short story, I got side-swiped on I65 (right past the turn off to the Vette museum i might add) and did a 180 and hit the rock wall on the side of the highway rear end first at 70 mph. The diff came up though the rear floor, and sorry ruined the radio with the bell housing driving the floor into the dash. My wife and I had no injuries, not even scratches! Impact twisted the rear end to a 30 degree off set from left to right. The real laugh was I started it up and DROVE it onto the flatbed, because he couldn't get under it. Oh yeah, the side swipe de-skinned the passenger door and rear passenger fender. Then it went to Copart. sigh.
Wait....this fairly modern Corvette has a leaf spring rear end??? lol lol lol that explains the car meet crash videos.
Whats a 3:42 axil doing in a base model? Stock? Z51? I know the Z51trans has the lower first gear and wider ratios.
All manual base c6 got the 3.42
The dynamat on the rear frame might be from exhaust rattle, if installed wrong exhausts rattle on corvette frames and are annoying it’s happening on my c6 now
Lol. mine too. The left one likes to slip back out an inch then the vibe starts. I need to drill and dowel it!
I love your channel bro
Happy to hear that!
What was the cost boss for the vette? I need the exact deal for a swap.
1 of 5 is not 15% it’s 20% but cool video man love these!
How much do you guys charge to do this I might need service soon
I can’t wrap my head around the fact you guys can still profit from such a trashed car. Every thing you removed was dollar signs. Good luck
profit???
@@johnnyzee383 yeah you can part a car out and make profit if the engine is good thats much of the cost back
@@TWEAKLET Much of the cost back, would not cut it for me if I was doing what these guys are doing...labor isnt free even if your doing it yourself.getting that car up in the air and just looking at it would tell you the whole back clip has to be replaced and all the labor entailed...new transmission, rear end, lines etc..dont know what they paid for it, but it would have to be worth at least 25% less than what a used motor would be worth, to be worth buying.
@@johnnyzee383 they are not repairing it they part it out to repair others or to sell look at their other videos usually completely totaled cars like this go for close to the cost of the engine if not a little more if you look around their shop the walls are lined with engines and other stuff
@@TWEAKLET OK
Hey I actually need that sun visor on driver side and I also need air bag sensors pig tails. Please lmk
I need a manual C5,C6,C7 trans for mock up. If you guys have any that are unsellable or gutted, I’ll take it.
I always wondered what the inside of a Corvette gas tank looked like... Now I know.
Safety first , sounds like danger Aaron
How much y’all bought it for? And how much to repair it?
Keg bowling at my German club 😂
What's the likelihood of this being a high speed drift wreck? And the only reason I'm thinking that is the track tires on front, all seasons on back...
I use to buy from Copart in Indiana and that vette would have a salvage title
I was hoping it started. Lol 😆
You and me both!
