- Which is the best gimbal mode for walking videos? Find out when Tilt Locked mode doesn't always work
The Tilt Locked mode is the most widely used gimbal mode for walking videos due to it's ability to keep the horizon level. However, this comes with some disadvantages and isn't always the best mode to use it certain situations, sometimes Follow mode is better. Learn how to recognise these situations when making walking videos and which mode to use instead. The ability to instinctively know which gimbal mode to use in certain situations is often really hard for beginners to learn, so in my channel I will present various situations so newcomers to gimbals will be able to build up their knowledge.

Hi all, if you have any questions on Pocket 2 or need help, leave a comment and I'll try and help. Of course, hit that sub button! Thanks Tim
very well explained - thank you👍
Hi - thanks for the comment and found the explanation useful
Very helpful video! I recently learned the hard way about tilt lock mode on a trip in Amsterdam. I was trying to show the writing at the top of a wall I was walking next to but it just wouldn't move up enough to get the writing in frame and I unfortunately didn't capture it. I did figure it out later, but I wish I had known earlier.
Hi, thanks for this comment and your experience. Yes I find I get torn between the two modes. I used to always be in Tilt Lock but now using Follow more and more due to the problems in the video and your experiences too. It's annoying to want to show something and then realising it's in the wrong mode. But still need to watch the horizons, but I think that's the lesser of the two evils.
Nice efforts
Nice topic and Video Tim!
Glad you enjoyed it Jay, thanks for the watch!
Useful video, though I'm still debating whether to buy the Pocket 2. That up-and-down motion is particularly pronounced, unfortunately.
Hi - yes unfortunately it is due to the Pocket 2 being very light indeed. I'm sure the Pocket 3 is coming out soon this year maybe, I suggest postpone the decision until then. I'll probably end up getting the Pocket 3 and can let you then know if it's any better!
