Much respect for Gohar. She has come such a long way. Hard to imagine how tough it must be to lose so many big finals. Seems she got back from injury truly stronger than ever - a lot of injured athletes talk about it, she did it.
Also she seems to have improved greatly on her weaknesses: movement, especially to the front, and attacking short game. Effective counter drops.

Why not? The GOAT of women squash ( 8 times world champion ) Nicol David of Malaysia won her last tittle in Egypt against an Egyptian in 5 sets and in the fifth set she saved 4 game points to win the title to the dismay of the partisan Egypt crowd.

You are referring to Sherbinis 2 no lets given in the final game. As such those 2 no lets were rightfully given. She made no effort to get the ball and she made more effort to run into gohars back. Gohar is the deserved winner and you know that as the deep truth. You are letting your favoritism towards Sherbini and wanting her to tie up Nicole David's world record, cloud your judgment. Thanks, come again when you know the rules. Even the commentators lack reffing knowledge and they have to be educated

The new PSA referee directives to refuse Lets indiscriminantly encourages positional abuse that corrupts the game. Within 3 years all the winning play will be like Gohar’s match winning point.
