When Rie laughed while posing my heart MELTED
Not gonna lie, I liked this comment before I even saw her smile because I knew she'd look cute!!
Not gonna lie to both of y'all, I liked both y'all comments because I agree with y'all on her smile and her cuteness 😎
I think mine did too. Lol
@Micheal Rows then?
every comment in this thread is cringy
4:41 is when queen Rie demonstrates her slayness but still stays true to her cuteness afterwards

Nothing funnier than hearing someone talking about coming out of a tough economy and giving people comfort food and then seeing they charge $42 for it.
I mean its a whole pie, if you got a single slice it'd cost way less
It's also LA. Prices there tend to be higher, just like NYC. I notice on their website that they charge $65 for a number of their pies that they ship nationally. No thank you! In my neighborhood, I can buy a whole pie from an award-winning pie maker for $25-30 AND support a local business. And her pies are SO GOOD.
$65 a pie?? That’s ridiculous. It better come with golden flakes, diamond sprinkles and grant me three wishes if they want to charge those prices! Sheeesh 😳
Rie looks like Colette from ratatouille in her chef uniform LOL
Right?!
Check her instagram, she dressed as her on Halloween! (And one of her co-workers dressed as Linguine!)
@All Rice what?
Finally! Someone noticed.
@All Rice & ur mom johny sins!?
I love that Rie didn't need help, and they could have just sat and watched her make it and asked their questions, but she got them involved. Obviously, there are scripted elements to the segment, but it's still pretty adorable. Long live Queen Rie!
You know that she is an actress right? She act as Collette in Ratatouille.
da96103 you lying! For real
da96103 ratatouille is an animated movie wut
da96103 no she was played by Janeane Garofalo. What you on about?
670 th person to agree with you
I saw Rie in the thumbnail and started chanting "Rie! Rie! Rie!" She's a star and a delight and I love getting to see her making things because you can tell how much love and joy she puts into it!
If you have Rie in a vid you got an extra view
I'd watch a Worth It video regardless, but she is certainly the gold-leaf-and-truffle icing on the $200 cake. :)

Steven: Can we have a taste? Andrew: (goes to grab one from the Croquembouche)
Rie: Here, you can have the leftover

The leftover + wasabi filling.. double the burn! 😁😁
The leftover: rat poison, X3 burn combo!

This is legit the best series on UA-cam hands down, I never realise how quickly those 10 minutes go by.
I know right?! Love watching these. Anything with food honestly
“Coming out of a terrible economy” *$40 for a pie*
Not per piece and also don't forget, it wasn't a poor neighbourhood
all
I was thinking the same thing. 40$ for a pie? I mean, I could get a course on how to make those pies myself with that kind of money...
Saf X and
Welll.. the folks on rodeo drive just needed a little comfort after having to let go of their driver.
I love how the wasabi was so strong that Steven put his arm on andrew’s shoulder for support and Andrew did it back. Supportive bois
The Queen, the Legend, the Tasty Mother, Rie. With her two sidekicks Andrew and Steven.
you forgot andy
I would pick Rie’s $25 dessert over those $42 pies any day. Looks really good!
A croquembouche isn't $25 to buy though
I love Rie, she should have her own show!

You must have low standards

She’s the best!!
I'm a simple man, Rie is in the thumbnail looking great as usual, I click like
Like you can see the freaking purity in rie's eyes. Shes a wonderful being
Dessert or apartment rent ... well at least I’ll be full and homeless
Lmfao
Hahaha.. that's what I said 😂
Why would you continue to do business with people ripping you off? 42 dollar pies? etc... Shove the pie up your ass, lol
Goose Bumps it also depends on the quality of ingredients lmao it could've been expensive and the time in order to make it is quite hefty too, so that all adds up ya know @_@
LMAO 🤣
So Rie didn't so much as make a dessert, as she provided a source of entertainment for the party when people start trying to wasabi-filled ones....
No croquembouche is a dessert
Dessert and a show!
The desserts are worth more than my life!!!
danz beard lol
Same tho
Same hahahaha
omg same hahahaha so relatableeeeeeee 🐙🐙
Mawen Mendoza don’t say that
The chemistry of this group is what makes the show so special. Rie is awesome cool too!
Rie’s smile kills me every time. Too bright. Too beautiful.
I like how so many people on here are claiming that the Pie Hole is so over priced. Yes ypu could get the same ingredients yourself and make it for less than $40, but ypu have to realize that they have to make enough to pay all the employees, rent, utilities, pay for equipment to make them, and every bit of that is in California. And being in California alone is going to make everything more expensive. And I'm also curious how many of the people that complain about a $42 dollar pie, that you wouldn't buy very often, are ok with going to Starbucks and spending $8-$10 on crappy coffee multiple times a week
Ok karen
honestly the best argument for $40 pie is that each slice will be $5 if it's cut normally. 5 dollars is a venti drink at Starbucks. honestly it's a pretty ok price, I think that a lot of people are comparing it to pizza, which is a similar concept to pie, but costs way less to produce on a large scale.
some ones on there period
@@ADHDAUSTIN pretty sure you don't know what karen means and you're just butthurt

Now that’s one way of impressing your family during the holidays 😂
I see you everywhere man
“Thank you for doing the potluck with us”
“Oh yeah thank you for having me”
*_high fives go around_*
Rie needs her own cooking series! I could watch her all day long. She's got such a great personality.
go to tasty the UA-cam channel. There's tons of videos of hers.
Woooow, Rie looks like a Japanese version of the French chef from ratatouille
Oh man you're right, i never realized that
...well, I'd never noticed that before but now that you mention it... :P
I get why some of the stuff on worth it is expensive, whether due to time to produce or cost of ingredients, BUT $42 for a pie is insane.
What they don't tell you is the filling has pure, uncut cocaine.
Or at least it better at that price. That's the first Worth It where I want to see accounting.
I think the way to think of it is like if you go to a restaurant and get a slice of pie it might be 4 dollars for 1/8th pie. That'd be 32 for the full pie if there was no "oh you bought an entire pie" discount.
I've been to pie hole and they sell a slice for $6-7 depending on the pie. Usually a pie has 8 slices so that's a value of $48-$56. That's actually not too out of the ball park for the kind of quality you're getting
@@attabooii yes, quality ingrediants are costly, they're using real cream, chocolate, fruit, etc. Not cheap. They cant change the price too much from by to the slice to whole pie, and 6 or 7 is actually pretty average for a dessert these days.
Welcome to California living
"Haven't had a croquembouche but, I have a croak in my throat." *Bouche* is mouth in French so unintentional pun?
Deanandre I was waiting to see if anyone would comment this
I’m pretty sure it was intentional given Andrew’s comment that followed
literal translation would be 'crunch in your mouth'
Steven after eating the wasabi choux bun thing is honestly a mood and also kind of adorable
$40 pies? Have they lost their minds?
It's worth it i tried it , customer service is amazing my pie was dry I told them it was , they gave me 2 free ones and 2 liters of their sauce , it's perfect there
Is it that expensive though? I mean people pay what: $8-10 for a slice of pie at restaurant for dessert? thats $60-80 for a whole pie there depending on sizing ...
what are you whining about?
@@ShawnLH88 I mean I guess you're right, the most expensive I've seen for a whole pie around me is about $25
@@ShawnLH88 I don't know where you're from, but a 10$ slice of pie is, in fact, expensive af
People easily pay that much for cakes that are as small as those pies and in my opinion pies are harder to make bakery quality than cakes lol
8:45 Big Mom: Croquembouuuuuuuchheeeeee.!!!!!!
As soon as I heard this I was expecting a Wedding Cake to be in the show XD
I needed this comment!! XD
Thank you
Hi All Might Plus Ultraaa !!!!
FINALLY, A NEW EPISODE TO WATCH IN THE MORNING!
The woman in the beginning at the Pie Hole clearly loves what she does, it's nice to see someone so happy and excited about work.
Rie is such a ball of wholesome joy and light and SERIOUS chef chops.
bouche is french for mouth which makes steven's joke unintentionally funnier
nice to know that i cant afford pie lol
much cheaper to make yourself
Rie is a little bit evil, and I love her for it.
I worked at a resturant with a pastry chef that made croquembouche for the holidays. He mixed chocolate and regular creampuffs- I really enjoyed Rie's spin on this and seeing her siq skills. I learned that the pastry chef wasn't afraid to share his recipes with me because they make it seem so easy but even with the instructions it takes so much skill!
It’s cool & funny that Steven tried the wasabi one on purpose and on the day of the Potluck, Ryan and Shane “coincidently” got the wasabi ones. Years later, they started Watcher.
Hmmmm ... coincidence, coincidence
Or were the clues all there all along.
The Pie Hole opened a location here in Durham,NC and it failed miserably. Now permanently closed.
Honestly, the pies weren’t that great and overly priced.
Hi Krissy! We did open a location in Durham and unfortunately our owners there had to close the doors this past year. There are many moving parts to opening a new restaurant, and our Durham owners got to fulfill a dream of having their very own pie shop. The quality of our pies might have not have been up to our usual standards, but we stand 100% behind our flavors here in CA. Our pies take a lot of love to bake and only use the best ingredients to give you one-of-a-kind pies 💙 If you ever come to CA, we hope you'll give us another try!
That sucks. The LA one is fantastic.
Good riddance. Highway robbery.
@@thepieholela4984 yes, I agree that every ponzi scheme is cooked up with a lot of love.
I appreciate seeing any Worth It videos so much... I really hope the series never end or change and Rie will always be a consistent guest for it.
I love Rie so much. She's so genuine and talented!
Rie in thumbnail , dam she's looking lit 🔥🔥
fresh out of oven cinnamon rolls covered in icing that's the most valuable dessert for me!
Thank you for doing this holiday special!❤️❤️❤️🙆🏻
seeing the unity of everyone loving rie...... its what she deserves!!!!
When I see Rie..

How was the salted chocolate pie with pretzel crust??
mralohadog pretzel flavoured i think
They probably crushed pretzels then added some other items like melted chocolate to form a crumble. Then they pressed the crumble into the pie pan to form a crust.
Catherine Slater I think they were asking how it tasted...I was kind of disappointed they didn’t sample it (or at least comment on it) as well.
@@BatyBug Ah, I read it "How was the salted chocolate pie (made) with (a) pretzel crust??" Thanks for clarifying.
Maybe they'll eat it during the actual potluck?
I love how you can see they relationship bonded better since they started going places
"Pie hole silver, away!" That's one of your best in a while, Andrew.
Man, reading through the comments I thought I was the only one that caught that...thank you
I saw Rie. INSTANT CLICK
40 dollars for a pie!? It probably costs the bakery 5 dollars that's insane!
Hi Megan! Pies are actually one of the most labor-intensive desserts to make, as all of our crusts are built by hand, as well as each of the different layers of filling, then toppings, as well as home-made whipped cream. Our pies are special because we use only the best ingredients, and we do our best to serve up the newest and most unique flavors around! We love pie, and we also love our pie people 🙌🏼
@@thepieholela4984 That isnt an excuse to make the price $42 for sure.
@@Hema115 Actually, it does depending on the price of the ingredients, the amount of time it takes to make each pie, and the amount of overhead. It's simple economics
I make pies all the time by scratch and choose the freshest ingredients because I am picky when it comes to food. It does not add up to that price but they are charging for the bakery establishment (rent) and the employees (pay) I rather do it myself is not difficult to make.
@@Hema115 I assume you and the OP have no idea how economics and businesses work.
The production value of this episode was FANTASTIC.
Rie is adorable!! So happy that the comment section is filled with her
I'm quite sure all these pies are delicious but $42.00?
Just from looking up their menu, you can tell this is definitely a novelty that most people enjoy by the slice If you want a whole pie, they ask that you pre-order 48 hours in advance. Probably the first time I ever seen that when it comes to ordering one pie....
Christopher Tom they make a few first come first serve for whole pie sales. But yes it’s definitely more of a pie-the-slice joint. Honestly? Worth ittttt
@@jenriv89Fair enough, seemed like you only order those whole for special occasions anyway. But I definitely think i stopped by to try a slice of Earl Grey Pie next time I am in L.A
I might buy a pie if it were $15-20, but not $42. It must be the answer to life, the universe and everything.
@@LoyaFrostwind bake it yourself then, even cheaper

That pie is so overpriced at 42$$$
$42*
Is it that expensive though? I mean people pay what: $8-10 for a slice of pie at restaurant for dessert? thats $60-80 for a whole pie there depending on sizing ...
@Chelsea Gordon Exactly and I make it from scratch like they claim as well. They are charging for rent and employees. You can make it at home and would be awesome as well.
Lisa Galliano of course they are. that’s how businesses work. it’s not overpriced - it’s the price of paying a business to do all that work for you at a professional level. it is hard work, and a business has overhead costs.
That pie was one of the cutest things anyone can share ❤️🥧
I love this trio so much!!!
Ngl I clicked this video just for Rie

$40 for a pie? *bet they sell Coffee for $10 too*
How much you wanna bet?
The Pie Hole LA 10 bucks 🤣
You can go to a Brazilian steakhouse for that price and eat 5 lbs of filet mignon. Definitely not worth the price for some flour, sugar, and apples. They should change the name to, the Ponzi Hole.
The best duo / trio

Rie laughing just made everything brighter
$40. for an apple crumble pie? I can bake one for $2.50.
Yes. And I'm certain it will have the same ingredients as the ones shown in the video and taste just as good. Oh wait . . . no, you wouldn't be able to.
I could get a $1 burger off the dollar menu at McDonalds. But if I'm in the mood for an actual burger, I think I could go with treating myself to a $10+ burger from Shack Shake.
Next thing, you'll probably be telling me that the 6'' Mille Crepes from Lady M are also ridiculously priced and you can easily make one with 20 layers and the same level of decadence for less than $5.
Right.
Hey Jase! Our pies are labor-intensive to make, just like if you were at home, our double butter crust has to be made from scratch, rolled, and then built by hand. Our Mom's Apple Crumble Pie actually has 2 POUNDS of apples baked into each pie -- that's a lot of slices & spices & crumble to give you one of the best quality pies out there. We love serving up pies for people who may not be in the mood to bake, or want to bring something new to their family table 💙
