same, i had hair loss, that i successfully prevented, so i can grow and keep my hair healthy im now 20yo, and my big bro have shawed his head at 26yo or something. my bro hair loss started while he was 16yo, he didnt realized but his head at scalp was visible at an age of 21yo.

i've had so many bad experiences. Basically since the start of covid i've just gone to random barbers and every time they fuck up what i told them to do and it looks like a fucking buzz cut. The past 2 or 3 times tho I found a pretty good barber and i've decided to just grow the top out instead of trying to explain how much i want off the top bc then it gets all fucked up and do not even get me started on great clips bro 💀

Right before I started Freshman year of High School, my mother took me to a professional barber which is something that is very out of the ordinary for me because I typically have my hair cut by parents but anyway, I was going to get my typical haircut but, somehow my barber misunderstood this and she basically shaved all sides of my head except for the top, so I ended up looking like the old 3D model for Max Payne from the early 2000s and I had to start High School like that. It seriously took me over 2 years to build up the courage to have another haircut done even by my parents.
So in short, don't go to a public barber shop.

My bad experience was when the lady refused to cut my hair short cause I had "lice" but it was just water droplets.
Went to another hair cut place & they cut my hair short & also checked my head.
As a girl, the lady who lied just didn't want to ruin my hair. Even though I asked. Got free hair washes from that place now cause I left crying as I was young & just hated my knotted hair cause brushing it hurt. So emotional damage got me points.

same, im not letting my parents ruin my hair, im normally very shy, but these months my hair is becomming bit longer, my mom abuses and bullies me cuz its "too long" its just only halfway on my head, about like 10-15cm on top and about 4-5cm on the sides, im growing long hair. No one stops me, if my parents try to hold me down, like my dad mom combo, im gonna bite my dad hand in order he to release me.

its not the barber who messes up but my mom.
Every time i tell her how i want my hair to be looking good, its always boodiecheeks.
You may know that some people have lines on their head where there is no hair populated, well i told her to cut the sides until that line, well she didnt cut at the line, but slightly lower.
And one of another time my mom had enough for that day and she told my grandma to cut my hair, but when i told her, im not sure what happened to her brain but i got a way different haircut, but then when i saw myself in the mirror, it was absolutly game over for me.
For now im not cutting my hair until its about 35cm from top and 27cm from sides, not worth looking like a clown of some kind+ i wanted to try long hair. Its gonna be a W for me.
But even if its becomes too long, im gonna meet a barber just to cut a few cm overgrowth from my hair, im not taking the risk anymore.

The time during middle school, there was something that happened during that time. When one of my relatives Died After that. For religious purpose had my Hair shaved until it was Bald. I was Embarrassed but at the same time I gotta Move forward from it.
