The oil in these filters will prevent any dirt or dust particles in the air from passing through. These contaminants get stuck in the oil layer of the filter.
Just bought these for my bike I never knew they existed until i watched this vid so I appreciate the vid man, I have a 15 pilot in mine now so hopefully it could compensate for the extra air going in and i wont have to re-jet.
You can - If you are in a real pinch, you could use regular motor oil on your air filter. It is better than nothing. If you are old-school, you have probably done so on many occasions. The problem is that motor oil pools in the airbox, distributes itself unevenly and can be sucked through the intake tract. Air filter oil has special additives blended with the oil to solve these problems.
Hey Bud, I put the air box back on after cleaning and just wondering which way the extended flow tube goes that doesn't connect face. Does it go up TOWARD the top or face down. Sorry if confusing. The piece that isn't connected. Didn't realize which way when I took it off bc I was putting a K&N FILTER on, BUT SWITCHED IT BACK...Thanks for any help !
+Silk Boxing - i don't remember off the top of my head, and can't find a good diagram.. I did a quick search on google images for "ttr90 airbox" and came up with a few pictures that might help. It will be a few days before i can get to the bike and take a look.
sxecrew Thank You for the Quick reply. Man, Still having problems with this thing starting. I literally did everything except change the Petcock and starter relay. Also, I did not do the top end of the carb yet. I cleaned the bottom once a year, jets, etc. I kicked it 30 times last night and it finally kicked over. Let it run a little and my son rode it around and died. You name it. NEW PLUG, NEW COIL, Changed gas, oil, new hoses, put in regulator. got the idle and air flow mix pretty good now....MAN, THIS THING HAS BEEN NON STOP MAINTENACE. I been through 3 batteries but I never charged them out of the box. JUST WONDERING IF I SHOULD get a new one, better one and try charging out of the Box. I always bought the TMS BATTERIES WHCH r pretty cheap, but still should kick over. Last time my Buddy and I cleaned the bottom Carb about 3 months ago, the thing sounded great and then a week later back to the same not kicking over again. It has to be electrical. Even took to a cycle mechanic who thought he had it running, but NO GO....thanks. Frustrating. I have 2 Hondas that never give me any issues at all....
Motolyfe sorry, I never owned one so I couldn't tell you.. I thought it would be the same as a 90? Just pull off the air box cover and it will be right there
noe name - What the oil does is trap the dust, mud, and dirt from heavy riding conditions. The particles stay on the air filter or they go to the bottom of the air box. Without the air filter oiled the dust and dirt can pass right through the air filter and right into the carb and motor, and can do some serious damage.
This worked for my son’s struggling to breathe bike at higher rpms. I put in 3. Thanks!
Or listen to the sounds around his home. What a paradise. Workn on our bikes (toys) can be just that
Listen to this guy. He can help alot of you out at home! Killer videos man
When replacing the foam/filter part, why do you spray the oil to it? would have thought it had to remain dry

Awesome!! Glad it helped! I couldn't find good videos , so I learned and made my own.. Thanks for watching!!
Would it be a bad idea if I used the synthetic oil I put in my bike for my air filter? Great videos by the way.👍

You think 2 of the UFV-6 filters would be enough for a ttr110?
The last thing a guy needs is his yz450 to make more power. This video on the otherhand is very important mod to any smallbore
What are the air vents called and how do I get some?? And where do I get the main jet and pilot jet
search for UNI UFR-6 for the vents. The jets can be bought on ebay or any off road website for your specific model

hey man whats the full name of the twin air filter
How do I clean the air filter on a ttr110?
Motolyfe sorry, I never owned one so I couldn't tell you.. I thought it would be the same as a 90? Just pull off the air box cover and it will be right there
Ok thanks
Bad idea he drilled the holes after the filter in the air box letting dirt strait into intake
That's why there is the 1inch filter idiot
Thanks for the great vid! Do I have to adjust the carb after I have installed the vents (because of the change in the airflow)?
Yes
Did you have to rejet?
Why oil the filter?
noe name - What the oil does is trap the dust, mud, and dirt from heavy riding conditions. The particles stay on the air filter or they go to the bottom of
the air box. Without the air filter oiled the dust and dirt can pass right through the air filter and right into the carb and motor, and can do some serious damage.
Nice to know thanks
Can u put K&N N filters on these?
yeah for sure! they are 2x-3x times the price, but may be worth it!
sxecrew Also, If I put the K&N filter on, is there any mods I have to do or is it an easy switch? Thanks
Silk Boxing
the filter can be swapped easily with no other mods required
Mate, where did you get the 1 inch filters?
Michael Casey eBay is where I picked them up.. $10 for a 3 pack
Found it.... UNI filter one inch! Thanks mate
Dude, love your videos, but MAN adjust your exposure in your camera bruh...its blinding
BioLizard Venom lol I know 😂 I also think it’s good until I see it on my computer
U put the air filter on the wrong side😂 u are supposed to see the twin air...
