If it was the same car, sounds like they ended up with a new project. If they didn't report it to insurance it still has a clean title, and if they did and bought it as salvage, they got a track Z06 cheap.
Wow, I tuned one of those cars on HorsepowerTV about 10 years ago. It made over 500whp with just intake, exhaust, and tune. There's ALOT of power left on the table for this yellow car.
Yes of course it has way more in it. Just N/A with cam/heads on a ls7 makes low 600’s rwhp . This is a carb legal kit only 6 psi of boost with carb legal tune is why it’s not making big hp numbers .
They needed it to be emissions legal, nobody’s saying that blower kit is a good bang for buck. Its just able to pass smog and add some power, thats all they cared about.
There one where I’m from that makes 640 whp h/c/I was high comp pistons on shitty Canadian 91 same car made around 590 with just heads cam and hood bolt on before he went high comp pistons

In the LS world that blower is known to be a heat magnet and not make anywhere near as much power as the Vortech,Paxton,Procharger centri options. Even other Magnuson postive displacement and factory LSA blowers outperform this one.
@@SIMOPARAS i mean if you want more power and want to experience boost in a smog compliant way many people who dont race or beat on their car really like the kit. If your trying to win races or chasing dyno or track #s this is not the blower for you. Also, many people want to try a positive displacement blower. This is only one of 2 options avaliable on the market that allows Vette guys to keep their stock hood. So that's another reason people go for it. Even a LSA blower swap requires at least a ZR1 style hood cowl or aftermarket hood. Or cutting up the original.

That's more than enough power for a street car and plenty for the track too. Also I would love to see build n battle come back, that was my favorite series ever.

Beautiful car. whoever wins it will be very lucky! I have 2007 Z. I'm running a TSP LS7S cam & the other typical bolt-on's on 93 pump gas. I was expecting WAY more WHP than my setup (I'm making more whp?). Lets just say I'm very happy with my setup and numbers after seeing this! I think there is another 100 whp to be found with this setup, if not something is a miss.... an early congrats to the winner! The C6 Z06 is a amazing corvette. 3100 lbs, doesn't heat soak easily (N/A motor anyway), great suspension and brakes, could be the best car you've ever owned. I love mine!
@@CS-Loc yep a Ysi will eventually run out of steam around 1200whp because of IATs and blower speed, whereas the f1x just keeps eating especially with air to water
@@xpeacemaster I've run just a simple D1SC on a C5 Z06 and air-to-air. Our IAT's at 9psi were barely above ambient. It easily made 580rwhp with a ultra safe tune on a basically stock LS6.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but putting an ice bag on the blower is a bad thing, no? From what iv been told, putting the bag of ice on the blower cools the outside of the supercharger, but the blades are still hot.

That’s power to the wheels. Stock z06 makes 505hp to the crank. Stock hp to wheels is about 440hp. So 526hp at wheels is close to 590hp at the crank

Those are literally bolt on numbers. They average 460-475rwhp stock. HCI record is almost 650rwhp.

That is what I was thinking. I put a 09 Z06 together for a friend with cam headers big exhaust and it was putting 640 horsepower to the wheels

I think it was paint matched to the car that was wrecked and the color is off now since they moved it to this car.

Emissions legal kit and tune is why it makes crap for power. Everything is lackluster when the EPA and government regulates it

N/A is the way to go on LS7's. Cam/heads will get you 600whp without the added weight and heat of a supercharger

Step 1. Win Car, Step 2. Remove E-force heatpump (supercharger) 3. Sell supercharger. 4. remove exhaust mainifolds/heads/cam/lifters 5. Install ported heads, Tick camshaft, Johnson short travel lifters and longtube headers. 6. Make 100 more horse N/A than E-Force supercharger setup.

I personally have not seen valve guide issues. I have fixed 1 c6 and 2 c7s with broken valve springs .all were passenger side

I had crazy high intake air temps on my 11’ eforce camero (ls3). 160 is pretty unexceptional especially on pump fuel.
