  • One of the best singletracks on the west side of LA. We caught a clean run in November due to unusually high temps (100 degrees in places). Full 40 minute ride is on Patreon.

    I just love how you go from being ~2-3k feet up in a mountain, descending one of the better single tracks here in SaMo Mountains, to the Ocean...in under 20 min.

      I agree, the forgotten road videos are sensational. Challenging but doable, not impossible.

    ah god now i can relate with you a tiny bit more: started as passion for videos and generally watching good bikeriders, citymessengers etc, than watching bmx and mtb like an addict, loving tricks and speed, and than always more and more the technically, forseeing aspects. Started as messenger, got into roadcycling, always loved the descents the very most, the technical details of how you sit, where to save energy and so on, getting into fullrisk, and now i started to go more offroad and even offtrail few times, using larger tubes, larger bikes, getting really technical. And i can keep watching one of my favourite channels and most skilled and inspirational bikeriders i found out there sofar, doing pretty much the same just on a whole different level ;) big love

    Doing it at that speed on what appears to be an old (rather than super long WB new) XC hardtail is absolutely insane.

    Ah the memories. When I was living in Venice that was my fav ride at the beach. Would park right off sunset, climb Sullivan, traverse dirt mullholland drop into the park and fly down to the polo fields. As you rode it, I recalled how fast you could get going. I was also amazed that there were no uphill hikers, I would usually run across at least one. Great job guys.

    Is this trail one way? If not, do you use spotters to keep it safe? Planning to bring mountain bikes out there soon and not scolding you for your approach.

    Don't the trails get pruned from those faceslappers?

    • @JoeS97756
      @JoeS97756 7 місяців тому

      So many trails and this year the heavy and late season rains have really caused a lot of growth. Trails that were pruned are overgrown again.

      I ride MTBs in SoCal. It's just a matter of time before you run into rattlesnakes, especially in the spring.

    Safa, not that i'd be digging this kind of stuff, but i just suddenly asked myself that question: did u ever have any kind of an accident while doing mtb? it still seems to me that it must be the bikeriding-sports with the largest risk of crashing, without anything to impede.

    • @SAFABrian
      @SAFABrian  7 місяців тому +5

      I've had plenty of crashes on all the different bikes. You tend to crash more off road but many of them you walk away from fairly unscathed. When you crash on the road it's almost never good.
