What a fun day! I always panic a bit when these videos come out because I don’t remember how embarrassing my commentary is, but I think we did ok. 😂 Thanks for having me Saf!
She looks very relaxed given how fast she is descending down some pretty old narrow roads. Almost makes it look too easy. Beautiful to watch. Thanks for the killer vid.
Big thank you Brian and Isabel, I put this vid on my screen in front of my trainer, was planning to do 10-15 min to warm up for Zwift, but I forgot about Zwift completely and did the whole ride with you instead! Great energy from you both. And yes those skid marks going straight to the edge are so sketchy...
What a lovely and friendly rider Isabel is. Here in UK so many riders think they're it, there's little Camaraderie among others when I'm out on a training ride. I'd love to ride with that Isabel King👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Great ride guys, and video. Izzy l love the enthusiasm and spunk you bring to the ride, and your cycling skills are superb. Love the chatter between you and SAFA Brian. All I can say is more of this, please.
Having grown up at the base of Baldy, this makes me super happy to see my teenage stomping grounds shown some love. Also makes me super nervous though having seen a lot of the accidents that had happened up there on GMR/GRR.
that looked super fun. I can tell when corners were sneak'n up from Isabel' reactions. nice rigs nice kits _ masterful camera work on that descent ~ as usual ~
Forget how beautiful gmr is usually my sunglasses are splattered with sweat and I'm trying to focus on not flying off a cliff to appreciate the views on the way down. Great video as always!
I follow both of these great cyclists in Strava. Their crazy superhuman rides keep me motivated. Thank you Ms. King and SAFA Brian. Thanks for this post! Keep riding and inspiring the bicycle community!! 💪💪💪👍👍👍
These are so relaxing to watch. I'm kinda getting the itch to do like one of the commenters below and put your videos on the background while I train haha
Brian, I enjoy your videos! I'm impressed that you ride safely and sanely, such as rarely crossing the double yellow. I especially enjoyed watching this ride on a rainy December 30 afternoon. I've ridden GMR many times, but I've never done GRR in this direction. We usually start from Grand just north of the 210 freeway, and when we get to the Mt Baldy Lodge, we bomb down Mt Baldy Rd at up to 80km/h. So it was fun to watch you two ride up GRR from the lodge, and ride the descents that I've only climbed! Kudos to the very strong Isabel! You did a great job first time on the ride down to East Fork.
Nice video I’m jealous of the mountains …where I live it’s all flat and weather is nice there too…. Keep up the nice content… it’s encourages me to go riding..😃
Awesome dude absolutely awesome. And Isabel has got great energy, thank u Isabel. By the way thanx a lot too dude. From Türkiye with hello mate. The video was perfect. With hello.
@@SAFABrian I am 73 years old and also in love with the bike. In similar conditions, I achieve similar speeds and can cover 100 km without effort. I wish you a wide and safe road. Regards from Sydney. ua-cam.com/video/FIipIz_3Hfs/v-deo.html
For those sketchy moments regarding cars coming behind you I recommend the Garmin radar. Worked great on my last ride and alerted me well in advance without needing to shoulder check.
Nice video for my indoor training. I love these onboard videos especially when I see other bikes in front of the camera. I feel like I am riding with my crew. 😎👍 Keep making these videos.
sir your videos are great I never found your video boring. And your videos are addiction. Someone has to keep watching. When I watch your channel, I really don't see anything else on UA-cam. Only watches your videos and #GCN. #globalcyclingnetwork
You're definitely not wrong about the weather in December, but judging from Instagram stories, but this was filmed in like October I think, or else sometime during November.
So Cal is being hit by true winter storms coming out of the arctic right now. One about ten days ago. Another right now. It's surprising. They've been so rare over the last decade. They used to be more normal two decades ago. A lot that road, GMR, already has a lot of snow on it right now. About the entire thing will be covered in snow tonight. The yellow gates you see in the video are probably already closed. GMR isn't regularly snow-plowed. But after the storm passes, SAFA will still find sun and good roads on the "westside" off of Malibu. Nice thing about these storms is that a day or two after they pass, it's usually warm, bright and sunny again. That's the beauty of So Cal winters, even when there are real winter storms.
SAFA, the sound (on Isabel) is really good. Hardly any wind noise. What kind of a mic is it and is it under her jersey and paired to your camera? If you hear her, I think this can also be an important safety device for people riding in a group or a race as it is peer-to-peer.

The dynamic duo! Yes!! 🦍
Looks awesome, amazing roads!
Damn I'm so jealous about these long descends and empty but well paved roads, normally I'm already stoked about 10 mins of non stop descend with
LA traffic is the worst 🙃

Yeah, it is best when traffic is bikes like yourself. Like 46:48, yihuhuha
That looks like some serious training and just fun. Thank you.
Wattage information is helpful. Thanks for including it. Good ride.
kit is mad! love it!
Incredible , awesome , inspiring , hardworking , El mas alto, el mas grande Que mas decir
Long form video like this is the podcasting of bike riding. Just seeing how skillful Iz is as a cyclist
Beautiful ride. Someday I will come visit the place just for a ride.

What a cycling kit this lady is on fire reminds me on CIPOLINI 👏👏👏👏

😊
Beautiful country.
your microphone is amazing! no wind noise and it picked up everything iz said. 🎤👍
GMR is such a rush, downhill that is… 😆🤜🏽🤛🏽
That climb out of Baldy Village really sucks after a nice, relaxing lunch at the Baldy Inn😭😭😭😭
I used to ride my motorcycle through GMR and Azusa Canyon Road back in the early 2000s. I miss that place.
The one handed descending was impressive. I'd be over the bars trying that for sure!
Oh, Isabel's descending was fun to watch, impressive.
I'm rained in, stuck at home, but at least I have these videos 😂😭
Thanks
Bet it was fun riding with her. She's so chirpy and happy. Wheeeee

Fantastic descent, you guys have incredible talent!!
Love that camo orange!
What’s cool about that road is that it hasn’t changed that much in over 30 years.
love the camo
Your outfit is sick 👏👏👏

What you going to do when car or truck comes around the corner that you are cutting?
Wow nice your bike
Nice ride! How the heck do you go from hand-held to chest mount that fast? SKILLS!
Wait for my helmet to chest mount with a side of dropping the mounting screw in an upcoming film hehe
Dear Santa,
May I please have Iz's fearlessness for Xmas? 🙏
