Canon means the accepted official story of anything as opposed to fanfiction or what I call, "head canon" (the story you make up in your head even when it contradicts what was actually said or done in the canon). There used to be a lot of additional letters & writings circulated in the Early Church, but at some point it was decided which books to include in the Bible & the canon was closed. That's why there haven't been any books added to the either Testament of the Bible in the last 2 millennia. Ironically, if Riverdale is canon, then that's the end of the Archie series b/c everyone is dead. Even if they were to make a movie, they would be limited by the story of the characters presented in the finale, which was great in terms of everyone's careers (the achievements of all these characters is as unrealistic as anything on the show because everyone is SPECTACULARLY successful in their work & public life & for a small friend group like that to ALL achieve at their level so quickly is total fantasy) but the Core 4 all went their separate ways after graduation & drifted apart, which IS realistic. @@khloeweldon3157
I know you mean "Beronica" or B & V, since Riverdale is a show, not a ship. I like that you thank them. I wish we had a lot more scenes of them as friends in S1-S6, as well as in S7 when they were dating. Viewers loved Lili & Cami's real life friendship, the cast though B & V were cute together, & Lili & Cami even asked repeatedly for more B & V scenes. I think doing a reboot in S7 was smart because we could see them as friends in the present day and as girlfriends in 1957. They are so good together in either type of relationship. I just feel that their chemistry & potential was wasted by giving B & V separate storylines and giving the characters conflict when they did interact.
I can tell this took a lot of time & love to make & what a tribute to B & V and to Lili & Camila! You are right about it being both happy & sad at the same time! Bittersweet would be the term for it, I think. What a beautiful video!

Anytime I start watching this, I cannot stop! I'm mesmerized until the end. The last couple of times I've watched this, I've cried because of that last scene. It's amazing that you take them from the moment B first sees V to them reunited in the afterlife. Outstanding, gorgeous video.
They dated in S7. It's unambiguous. Betty even mentions it in the finale when, as an 86-year-old visiting Riverdale again, she starts saying good-bye to all the places that were meaningful to her. Near the beginning, she talks about the Pembrook (sp?), Veronica's place. Watch the extended version of the finale online to hear what she says. (I just watched it a few weeks ago on the CW website.)
