David spade and his crew would always visit my dad's ice cream shop on Melrose when I was a kid, and this is when he was really famous. He always was hilarious, took care of his crew, and tipped well. Will always remember him. He was aways trying to get you to laugh even if you didn't know him. Only regret was I never asked him for a autograph. Memories man.

In Canberra in the '80s there was a supermarket called super scoop. They had real hatching chicks on their TV ads that said "cheap cheap cheap" then the voice over would say "cheap, but choosy."

I liked listening to these guy when interviewed on the radio in the 90s on but this is a little better.
There was a 1984 movie with Nic Cage and Sean Penn called, Racing with the Moon. There is a memorable scene where Cage's character, Nicky, is trying to raise $150.00 for his girlfriend's abortion. He is playing billiards (pool), for money to pay the bill. Him and his opponent repeat the phrase, "rack 'em", many times during this scene.
Was that the movie where one of em yells "Duck, Hopper!"? That quote became a pre-internet meme in the 80s with my junior high pals. It transcended the movie itself, I guess.😅
