Y&R is so awfully boring these days. All they know how to do is invent one new company after another and playing musical chairs with the people who own them.
Good job, Cassie. Great job, Reva. Yet again, Annie sabotages her own success by blurting out her plans beforehand. Threatening power plays before actually acquiring the power was a stupid move and Annie should've known that the Lewis family would do everything they could to diminish the threat.

Annie ruled the 90's! 1997-2000 when Claire Labine came was a magical for GL. There were some duds... but there was a vision and the show told well crafted stories.
Claire Labine did not last three years on "Guiding Light" and most certainly wasn't a success at that show. I don't believe Labine was Headwriter for 5-6 months let alone 3 years. Barbara Esensten and James Harmon Brown wrote every bit of 1997 to 2000.

I did love bits and pieces of every Executive Producer's work at "Guiding Light" going back to the 1980's, but Jill Farren Phelps' era was really good and overall very consistent. Farren Phelps went on to other shows and I strongly believe that Pam Long should have been made Executive Producer along with a Senior Executive Producer ( Edward Scott of "Young and Restless," Felicia Menei Behr, Wendy Riche, or Laurence Caso would have been top choices for me for example) after her departure.
