- This one...was a quest that didn’t come easy. A long-awaited experience that finally happened…but required a great deal of patience.
We finally rode Skull Island: Reign of Kong! A turbulent and trying foray to once and for all see the legendary King Kong at Universal Orlando Resort and the Islands of Adventure.
After multiple years of misses at meeting up with the massive ape that makes his home on a remote island that consists of a wide assortment of skulls and jungles…we had arrived and our time was nigh.
With much exhilaration, we found ourselves back in Orlando Florida at Universal Studios for a fun, 1-Day Park to Park exploration.
Skull Island: Reign of Kong was well within our sights and we would have to wait no longer. (Well, maybe a bit longer in the queue for the ride, but it’s all good.) Plus, the temple pre-show, really set the mood for the actual ride.
Always enjoying many of the King Kong films of the past, and easily calling ourselves fans of this fiercely massive primate that beats on his chest and climbs tall buildings, while carefully caring for his gentle human, King Kong easily earns his place amongst our favorite movie characters of monstrous magnitude.
This story vlog covers it all. The complete timeline leading up to the moment we finally got to experience Skull Island: Reign of Kong, the entire ride walkthrough of the queue, and the entire ride POV as if you were there along with us.

Great video! I myself just rode Reign of Kong yesterday. I was fantastic! I used to have an annual pass 20+ years ago and was lucky to ride Kongfrontation the last day of operation. Back then Universal would set time aside for passholders to ride attractions one last time before closing or have previews of upcoming rides. I recently purchased a pass and was excited to experience this new version of Kong. I was so happy to see an actual animatronic Kong at the end! 🦍

@@QuestCapsule have you ever heard of ICE! at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville? This year is Rudolph. I worked there for 10 years, and I think it would be something y’all would do. Would love to see you visit Nashville area.

@@QuestCapsule 2 million pounds of ice carved by carvers from China all in the story of Rudolph! So when you get in you’re given a parka because it’s usually about 9 degrees inside. Then you walk through rooms from the scenes of the cartoon. In the middle rhere are always ice slides that you can go down (tip: wear slick gym pants). Everything in there is all hand carved from ice blocks. As a bonus you get all of the lights from inside and outside of the hotel. They also offer other attractions, but ICE is the main event! With it being 9 degrees though batteries die fast so you must protect the camera. It would be an awesome vlog, I think for Christmas. Sarah would love it too! And Reese, if she’s home.
