Also yeah. The start of the animatic was pretty rushed, and there’s a few of mistakes here and there, just ignore the fact.
Totally didn’t make the animatic solely to draw eret and do that one scene where ranboo picks up michael, yup

i feel like ranboo's death is the only death of a dsmp character that has affected Technoblade, given the fact that ranboo didin't
once betray him like the others, i think techno cares about Ranboo's wellbieng as much as he cares about philza's, for both
philza and ranboo share a specific trait, none of them has ever hurt Techno in any way, for that reason we see techno suprised
or even maybe traumatized by seeing ranboo's ghost, and not having so much of a reaction when seeing ghostbur for the first time.
Maybe another part of it isn’t just that Ranboo never betrayed Techno and that Ranboo was pretty close to Techno. Sure, it would be a big part of it, but I also think that it’s because Techno knows what Ranboo went through, if not everything then some things that her went through, and not only sees him as a close friend, but also as a man who just didn’t deserve to die. A man who didn’t deserve all that he had been through.

That wasn’t really how i pictured Ranboo’s limbo. I mostly pictured it as like a knee-ish deep flooded infinite area where he hears people he cares about talk crap about him. Or alternatively, he’s on this “life boat in a raging black ocean” (wink wink) also water can’t effect him in limbo
I wanted to make the audio at the end a bit annoying too lmao
-low in the water, with nowhere to go, the tiniest lifeboat
I would imagine that he is sad like wilbur was but also suffering in a way
Maybe his tears could still burn him?
Like how wilbur tried desperately to call for help until he couldn't any longer

I'm sorta the flooded ballroom on a sinked ship kinda truther, like the longer he's here, the more flooded the ballroom becomes
i saw a theory on ranboo's limbo and it's just so depressing, the theory that it's just his life, nothings changed, just the few happy memories are not there, because limbo is about psychological pain, not physical, so ones life has to be so bad for there limbo to be their day-to-day life, if people believe that is the case is up to them but this is my favorite cause it's so angsty and i am a angst goblin lol
Techno soft voice saying "Ranboo your wounded" got me right in the heart. "What do you mean you don't know?" Makes me want to cry. And the ending the tears;^;. Thank you for this beautiful animation. This is amazing and sad 🥺

The “We brought him home” from Eret shattered my soul. How could you.
Seeing that scene play out in canon was... interesting.
Touching but... strange.
It is incredible how soft c!Techno becomes when it comes to the people he loves, such a shift from his usual deadpan sarcasm...
He's a strong warrior, yet his words paint him as such an open book when his heart is hurting.
I love how you draw him running towards Ghostboo, grabbing him...
His care and concern are so genuine as looks up at him with a smile, the slightest trace of sadness in his eyes...
Turning to worry when he notices Ghostboo's wound.
There's this very caring side of Techno that rarely surfaces when he's seen by too many eyes, the wish to protect his friends and family from harm...
And I wonder whether it secretly surprises Tubbo and Eret, seeing him so vulnerable and human like that.
Although it seems like they might have understood it before, really, the fact that Techno was far from the monster he was made out to be during the L'Manberg days.
Speaking about the monstrous...
Contrasting Techno's so very human reactions, Ghostboo almost seems ethereal, removed from the world.
You succeed at drawing him as such, appearing gradually like the first stars at nightfall and moving lightly as a breeze, quietly greeting his onlookers with almost weightless elegance in his movements...
The way he talks to his friends, to his husband, to his son is so very gentle, but it is more the whisper of the wind rather than the tight embrace his love used to be.
And you have to wonder, really, what is hiding on the bottom of this man's mind.
What memories has his involuntary slumber awaken that make him seem so absent-minded?
And your interpretation of his Limbo poses another question: Would it make the Ranboo we got to know cry, seeing the other him so close to the people he loves - because he cannot reach them, because he wished he could give them the loving warmth they deserve?
So close yet so far...

PS: I really love the comparison of the no-pupiled Ghostboo vs the more emotion-filled and pupiled Ranboo in limbo! It gives the ending scene so much depth especially with the zoom in on Ranboo's face!!!

I was under the impression the water was his own tears, but that works too I suppose. Either way it's awful.
I loved this. You managed to make a kinda scuffed stream into something very engaging and dramatic. Also the limbo at the end- just *chefs kiss*

When i rewatched that stream, I noticed how Ranboo was holding a Tulip the whole time, likely to give to Tubbo, but he didn’t get the chance until later. You captured that *beautifully*. Very, very well done, the entire thing is just akdbsjdb /pos

Some of the letters were normal English letters tho such as “s”es and the “n” and “e” in “⏃⌰⍜ne” when it was supposed to be “⏃⌰⍜⋏⟒” but honestly close enough
I once “got bored” so I memorized ender
Tubbo’s hand with the flower really hits how now he’s expected to brush aside his grief…
I liked the thought that ranboo could see through his ghostly self
/the stream was insanely stupid and funny with tubbo being an angry mom who lost their child and techno ringing the sell out bell while griefing,
along with eret who tubbo had trust issues with but in the end actually tagged along
And ranboo being "man came back from dead, refuse to elaborate"
The actual stream wasnt that sad and you Still manage to make me cry, well done
oh god oh jEEZ dude. I have never had a DSMP animation make my chest constrict with emotional agony quite like this before. I love how the beginning is sweet yet somber and a little unsettling, and just when you get used to that, you throw THAT ending scene at us holy SHIT

Ranboo looks like the most *Beautiful* *God* I've ever seen in my entire life
I know everyone watching that scene finds it so wholesome which it is but when I watch it, it haunts me bc Ranboo sounds sweet on the surface but ultimately sooo devoid of life and caring. Like he's happy to see Michael but he wouldn't have cared if Michael wasn't saved which would make sense since Ghostboo doesn't care or stress about anything anymore.
He said "hi" so softly like an angel here ,and representated it very amazing

welp the first part was wholesome, the second part was depressing and all of it was absolutely beautiful. i love the perspective and blur on the tear as well. a snazzy touch
This is so heartwrenching-ly sweet, like the way ghostboos voice is so soft while talking to michael and he looks so happy, yet tubbos sitting here dumbfounded and surprised, and then we have Limboo crying in limbo, so EEyIKES!

Your Ghostboo design is so hauntingly beautiful. And the way Michael doesn't recognize him until he says hi, then he realizes who it is but not how he's different... it's so crushing, I love it. This turns that sort of scuffed stream moment into something much heavier and elegant, and I cannot fully find the words to describe how much I love it.
