Having the right equipment is a game changer when it comes to getting your property ready for hunting season, that is why Trophy Properties and Auctions is working with Wildlife Farming to help land owners formulate a plan to tackle their land management projects!
Oftentimes, the equipment available at your local tractor dealer is overkill for someone just managing land for harvesting wildlife. Wildlife Farming can help you find the right equipment to complete your project on time and within your budget. Check out Wildlife Farming here:

I have been battling this same question. Ultimately we went with a skid steer because we have a lot of clearing to do and some minor earth works. A tractor would take much longer and there are some things it can't do. However, when it comes time to mow, I sure would like a tractor.
I have 33 acres and over the past years have owned both tractors and a skid steer. If I could have only one piece of equipment my vote is definitely for the skid steer. The skid steer can perform the operations of the tractor and then go beyond and do so much more than a tractor can. It can get into tighter and wetter places, it's much faster and the brute strength exceeds the tractor.
The only thing that can be a challenge is if there are areas of finished grass then turning has to be done carefully so as to not destroy a manicured area. But, in time, you can learn how to better turn (skid) and limit this issue.
Thanks! This is the dilemma in which I am at the moment. 250 acres clear cut in Georgia. Liked and subscribed
Awesome, we are glad that you enjoyed it!

Sorry about that. We have their new link in the video now. wildlifefarming.com/categories.aspx
I love these guys called themselves hunters, but they want to put in food plots. Why don’t they just put fencing in and a corral and put the deer in there and call it a deer farm?
