Watching the ceremony thinking of where the winners were once career wise respectively it's quite surreal. 10 years ago who would've thought that RDJ would be on an award stage accepting a prize for a box office hit he headlined or Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep as the top two actressess, box office wise, in the business or James Cameron winning again for a movie that may unseat his previous one. Truly a crazy night.

@MrSubsemnatu - As someone who has re-read the Sherlock Holmes stories many times over many years, I can state for a fact that Holmes is probably the most clearly drawn character in all fiction. NO - not anyone can play Sherlock Holmes, and certainly not Downey. Subjective impressions granted, the archetype is absolutely clear. Downey does not meet any of the criteria.
The worst casting imaginable as Sherlock Holmes! Awful performance in an awful movie that was a travesty of the most famous literary character in the world.
