I just love seeing our Qantas 747 she is so beautiful and it's great to see her, it always send s a chill up my spine to hear her powerful engines at take off!!
Farewell Australia's Queen of the Sky's! You served us well and we will always be eternally grateful to you! Arizona, take care of our precious lady's!
Awesome video. I was passenger on the Qantas 747-438ER (Reg: VH-OEJ) flying from Honolulu to Sydney the other day, and what an experience! First time ever on a 747 but probably the last :(
So sad to see knowing its gone. It was cut up in Tupelo, MS. I was lucky enough to get a set of seats and a window section of fuselage from this plane.
lcthevideogamer yes generally the whole Qantas Boeing 747-400ERs fleet consists of this route from Sydney and Brisbane International. I was only at Brisbane international a month ago and saw many Qantas 747's on the same route however from brisbane.
lcthevideogamer incorrect, the 744 outbound service out of YSSY to KJFK via KLAX is the QF107 service and on the way back is the 108, they also operate QF11/12 to YSSY-KLAX-YSSY with the A380.
"Spirit of Australia" is on all Qantas aircraft......there are actually two Qantas 747-400ER's here......VH-OEH "Hervey Bay" at the start and VH-OEJ "Wunala" at the end.
My love affair with the 747 spans 45 years. My very first flight was on a Qantas 747-200B (rego VH-EBC), from Sydney to Singapore in 1972. The variants over the decades have elevated the 747 to the lofty status of Legend!, along with the 707 which is also very dear to me. Yes, I am very old school, but the 787-9 has peaked my interest. I'm look forward to my first flight one of those. Just about everything else leaves me stone cold.
Never been on a Qantas plane before because the Qantas flights are too much Money to go on one and me and my family take Jetstar because thay do After pay Flights
Who would’ve thought we’d see this exact plane be Qantas’ last 747... Long live the 747!

Just beautiful.
It was amazing take off lovely video
One day I will fly with Qantas Air ways
beautiful quality footage, loved it!
Super Video. A beautiful aircraft. The boeing 747 is really great
So sad to see knowing its gone. It was cut up in Tupelo, MS. I was lucky enough to get a set of seats and a window section of fuselage from this plane.
What a beautiful plane. Great footage!
What is ur fav 747? 100? 200? 300? sp? 400? 8?
Love seeing this at dfw airport! Love the ge engines this baby can rock
Wow! fantastic footage!!
747 is still queen of the skies:D
Wow! So beautiful!
It's actually OEH on the taxiway and OEJ on the close-up takeoff
I love PLANES
wow luv the frontal view, another great vid!
What a beauty! Thanks for uploading this :)
It appears that it is OEM on taxi and OEJ on the closeup of take-off.
Hoping one day I'll be able to fly one of those beauties!
Pause at 2:09, it says VH-OEJ. A different qantas plane was being filmed.
I like the 747 better than the a380. Sadly the 747 is dying off :( I hope I still get to fly on one some day.
same here 747 looks amazing
Its not dying off, they are converted to cargo planes, they will be around for ages
At the start awaiting takeoff and starting the takeoff roll its VH-OEH "Hervey Bay" 747- 400ER......its the same type of aircraft as VH-OEJ.
Sweet Vid..
that was a qantas 747-400er (jumbo jet) Reg: VH-OEJ Taking off at the end
If every new 747 built after the release of the 747 400er WAS a 747 400er instead of the usual, i would be so happy
My first ever flight in a 747 was in this fine bird. March 2018.
The ER's have CF-6's while the other models have RR's.
LIKE!
Same here I hope to one day to fly Qantas 747 I did when I was a child...but I have forgotten
Great video!!
I've just screen grabbed the best shot of the reg, and it looks like VH-OEM, not the legendary OEJ?
Nice one! :)
That's VHOEH not OEJ, you can clearly see it on the nose wheel doors
The second clip is OEJ though
@@RandomPerson-co3yl ye
Those are CF6s, not P&W. Some Qantas aircraft do have RRs though
Normal flaps for 747 takeoffs is 10 and 20. Seeing this flight is going to JFK and may not be full it could be using flaps 10 which is not a lot.
Class
I thought that the Qantas 747s have RR and not the P&W
a really good plane
Why were the flaps down so much, on a 747 are they up a little more on T/O?
VH-OEJ should be preserved as it is one of only 6 747-400ER's
+Jo Tyers All six of them are operated by Qantas.
I happened to catch 2 of the Longreach VH-XXX 747-400s within about 30 min of each other. Both in my latest vid.
Does Qantas operate their signature Boeing 747-400ERs on the SYD-LAX-JFK-LAX-SYD route?
I believe so however I am sure they have many other routes. QF108 route is generally SYD-LAX-JFK-LAX-SYD so yes.
and QF 107 (to sydney) QF 108 is from sydney only

Mikael Pribicevic my mistake...thanks for correcting me
Those planes really climb.
Try searching qantas flight 63 it had a flight with 5 Engines and yes, it was 747
So sad VH-OEJ had a last flight
Flying 747 BNE to LAX next month, can't wait. Probably my last chance on the queen :-(
We've been inside airplane Airbus A-320
Is that "Spirit of Australia?"
"Spirit of Australia" is on all Qantas aircraft......there are actually two Qantas 747-400ER's here......VH-OEH "Hervey Bay" at the start and VH-OEJ "Wunala" at the end.
Next week I'll be on this - fucking get in!!!!
Other than passengers, what does a Qantas flight always carry? A kangaroo!
Haha
Really?
I went on a Qantas 747 about 10 hours ago😂
I see them in all major airports, but of all my travels I have never been on a 747 :(
My love affair with the 747 spans 45 years. My very first flight was on a Qantas 747-200B (rego VH-EBC), from Sydney to Singapore in 1972.
