I read Heart’s Prisoner this year and it was pretty dark and pretty great! There is serious build up to their relationship and the FMC spends most of the book legit scared of the alien MMC! It’s so good!❤
I tried reading one of the honey badger books a few years ago, I need to know if it's good when you get to it! I only got a few pages in. Very jealous of Aliens: Music of the Spears that one is harder to track down. Cold Forge is THE BEST.

Books that are maybe full of clunky stuff but are uncensored for content can be found in the non-"traditional" publishing world
I just finished Under the Oak Tree! I enjoyed it but a lot of folks do not 😅 There is some dubious consent at the first and it's very slice of life throughout the rest and our poor girl Maxi has been abused her whole life so she's real meek. But there is some growth! My second Spark book is also off the spine a little like that!
