HOW MUCH DOES FOOD COST IN ACCRA GHANA RESTAURANTS | COST OF LIVING IN GHANA | LIFE IN GHANA
Food plays a big part in the cost of living in Ghana. I explored some Accra restaurants in this video for breakfast, lunch and dinner and shared with you the cost of food in these Ghana restaurants. I hope this helps you work towards a budget for living in Ghana.

Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
Jasmine, Jasmine, Jasmine, if you really want to save money, local restaurants are the best... And their foods also tastes great
Two beautiful black women doing their Africa to the world, ayekoo
Considering the wages and income only a small percentage can eat out
I like your hair Jasmine 😊
People would be shocked at how expensive prices can be.
You exchange currency and think you have a lot but if your not careful your wallet will get empty quickly.
I started to eat more from vendors than restaurants.
@danny1460 I was surprised at the prices in ShopRite. I only bought water, beer and take out food from there.
Whenever we go back to Ghana my parents avoid ShopRite.
Were from Kumasi originally and its much cheaper there than Accra.
I like the outdoor markets better. You can get a ton of food and items for your money.
But directly from small vendors. It is cheaper , more organic and fresh . Buying in those big cooperations , it will cost u more and their food is not 100% organic mostly GMO food. Also they will make the small vendors to go out of business which is not good . It’s a win win if u buy from small vendors and u can create connections with them to always delivery in your home .
This was interesting. Thanks for indulging our curiosity. 💜
At the end of the day eating out should remain just a treat no matter where you live. 😁
Basically lol xx
First and foremost...
It's the hair, popping yellow top and the melanin forrrr meeeeee😍👸🏾
Okay now for the food: The prices aren't bad at all and they are full meals that'll certainly get you full; but it sure will add up if you eat out everyday, 3 times a day.
Bottom line, nothing truly beats cooking at home. The treats of eating out are good for once in a while🤗
Thanks Jo ❤️
Sure. Cooking at home is the way to go. Come to think of it, just one person spending on just dinner. What will the Family eat on? #PatiencePaintsil
Love Ghana from Tanzania 🇹🇿🇬🇭
Mmm eduani papa paa

Ab3y3 d3 rof. I can see you used my videos for your playlist. Thats nice
@@africanwalkvideos yeah I like them alot, you upload nice walk videos in Ghana. The markets, cities etc. Its very unique. I even names my channel close to yours I just love your videos
People commenting that these prices are good compared to the West ,remember Ghanaians do not earn Western income !The GDP per capita in Ghana is $2300/year about $200 /month . GDP per capita US $65,000. Before anyone starts to question me I am Nigerian and when I was l was working in Nigeria with a masters I was earning about $800/month.
Exactly, it's ridiculous to compare to western prices considering the income. I just returned from Ghana and Malawi. What is shockingly high is gas and taxi fares.
And what is Nigeria’s GDP per capita? My point is some Ghanaians earn 1,000$ a month…nothing to do with GDP.
@@mrw1762 And some Americans earn $400,000 , one million , and more .GDP is what the majority earn. Only 10%of Americans earn more than $100,000/year. Yes someone in Ghana can earn $1000 but not the majority! What percentage of Ghanaians earn that amount?
@@josephbrown1573 Go back to how you originally framed your assumption. You had to quote what you personally earned while comparing the 2019 average calculated earnings of Ghanaians as a whole. What's the point of that?
@@mrw1762 What do you mean? I was quoting my salary which is obviously above average for Nigeria as the GDP there is $2500.The fact is that the average person in West Africa regardless of country makes about $200/ month. Some make more, some make less just like everywhere else! I now live in the US and my earnings here are also WELL above average, by virtue of my profession .That's life !
Two beautiful young ladies! Jasmine your videos are so entertaining and informative. I am considering visiting Ghana in 2023.
I love your outfit, Jasmine yellow looks good on you💛✌🏾🇬🇭🇬🇭🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thanks lovely ❤️
Mannn $14 for a whole day of food… I spent $17 on dinner alone in the United States and that was considered cheap.
And how much do you make an hour?
but to a lot of ghanaians, $14 is a lot of money. their minimum wage is $2/hr. so that's a day's wages.
Wow. Lovely to see labone junction kelewele again! It’s the best and has been there for like 30years at least. U should interview the owner. She has a great story! Enjoyed the Vlog anyway!
Thanks to you. I want to visit there so much, maybe one day🌺
*Nubuke is such a funny and lovely lady,i"m happy to see her in this video.*
Ama is killing it in ghana

Your hairr suits youu. Love it.

@@JasmineAmaa you welcome ❤️
Me feeling your hair 👌😗😍😍😍
Thank u 💕
Short and spicy video. The prices are reasonable compared to eating out here in the west, for example here in NYC. As you said, eating out everyday becomes expensive.thanks for sharing. One love from NYC.
❤️
These Ghanaian women melanin just 🌟🌟🌟🌟... God was definitely showing off!!! You're beautiful ladies.
I love your hair

I remember Nubuke’s voice when clubhouse used to be a thing. Glad to see she’s on UA-cam!
Great video Jasmine! I like content like this 👍🏿
A great Pair 💕💕 Nubuke
💕
🥰🥰
The only place I can get kelewele here in the states is a Ghanaian restaurant. No option for street food and its good but we don't get peanuts with it, just fried spiced plantains. They cost $8 USD too💰 I need the $0.86 ones from Ghana 🇬🇭😅
The 0.86 ones taste better too 😂
Canada,Montreal: love you
I'm impressed with the ambiance of the restaurants, very first world I've been to places that are not as posh in London. Lunch was a stretch, no judgment here but the snail would have been interesting at most for me. Accra seems to be an expensive city for middle class people who desire to live a middle class life. Still love Ghana though. 🇯🇲
I learned for the first time last year that in Portland Jamaica a soup called BUSSU SOUP is popular in some parts of the parish. Until then, I wasn’t aware of it. BUSSU is a snail, and they drink that soup in Portland. Look it up if you feel like. One love from NYC.
@@johnl6838 sir I am not judging Ghana's culture, my ancestors are from west Africa. I know about bussu and bussu soup. I am certain that there are things that I grew up eating that Ghanaian may find strange ( breadfruit for example). Please don't misunderstand me sir. I distinctly said "no judgment here." 🇯🇲
@@jetsnitram7188 thanks for your input. Please don’t misunderstand me either, I didn’t say that you were judging the Ghanaian culture, but I just thought I would mention the soup. I am glad to know that you are aware of that part of our Jamaican culture, because a lot of people don’t. I apologize if my comment came across that way it wasn’t my intention, again I apologize. One love from NYC.
@@johnl6838 absolutely no offense taken sir. Peace 🇯🇲
@@jetsnitram7188 , One love from NYC.
Hi Jasmine. You don't need make up.
You look better without it.
Make up i snot good for your skin.
God bless you beauty.
If i stopped wearing makeup will i be doing what u want or what i want ?!
@@JasmineAmaa Is not about you doing what I want. Please. I am no one to make you do what I want. I love seeing you without make up. I believe in natural beauty for African woman. That's all.
Thanks Jas for such an informative video! Makes me miss home. After these lockdowns Ghana is on the top of my list to travel to again! I trust your well❤
❤️
I traveled from USA to Malawi, Kenya and Ghana 2 months ago. What lockdown? Just Covid19 tests required.
oh mine..Labone Junction Kewele , you took me back to my childhood home Miss Jasmine :)
Haha aww
I love the sandwiches and drinks at vida e cafe especially their iced tea and lemonade. Loved seeing Nubuke in this video.
Do a remake of this if you could and give us three diff classification
Boujee
Classic
Basic
Would be a good one 😉
Thanks for sharing 👍
Anytime ❤️
Hi Jasmine an interesting topic to cover in one of your videos is what people earn in Ghana. A teacher ,police officer , government workers ,accountant, nurse ,construction workers , market women .What is considered middle class? I think people would be interested ! Just a suggestion , really enjoy your videos!
Will love to. Its just a matter of finding interested participants
Kelewele = night food 😄....strange how its only sold at night lol. Great video Jasmine! 👍🏾
AS USUAL ☺️ I ENJOY YOUR VLOGS 👍
I just spent 59 cedis on strawberries at a farmers market near me. If it wasn't my kids wanting it so bad that wouldn't happen. That's more than $10. We pay $2-$3 for the same in the US lol.
This was so good! Thanks for another awesome video!
Nubuke is so beautiful
Thank youuu
Wow! Not bad price for the day … however, living in Ghana I know it is much cheaper to cook. But I can’t complain about less than $14.00 for the day. ❤️🖤💚
I realy love to see yu in this mini, which makes the food sweet and delicious 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇪🇦👍
Okurrr lets see what we have todayyy.
Hope u enjoyed it ❤️
@@JasmineAmaa absolutelyyyy.
Love the video. Thanks for sharing!
I love to see you ladies together and yes very expensive to eat out everyday! I don’t mind eating out sometimes ❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽🇬🇭🇬🇭🥰🥰😍😍
I like this video. The food looks tasty. Air conditioning, lighting, indor seating & decor have been added to the price. Purple Pub probably has lower prices outdoors.
For the fresh juice, Blue Skies is better in terms of price, can't say for taste but I do love Blue Skies
I want to try Nigerian dishes at Bow Ghana: Eba with Egusi soup or local jollof
Kelewele is really expensive now, bought ghc5 one time and I was really surprised. It should be wayyyyyyy more than that 😂
mepauncho can you possibly leave the cantoments area to show life in real Ghana... lets go Ashiama for food... abeg Ooo
Hi Jasmine 👋 the food look Delicious 😋
It really was ❤️
That wrap look good. Look like they have the coffee drinks.
Great video because I'm planning my trip to Ghana next year June or July 👌👌
Craving for the lunch 😋😋😋
The kelewele at Labone Junction is the best. I live at Nyaniba Estates, in one of the row of houses facing the Ring Road, so I can vouch for the quality of the kelewele. :-)
To me that's a good for three meals, I not going to say how much I spend on one meal.
That's different mutuo and abunabunu soup looks nice i will try it one day
Never had it like that before either xx
That was a first. Abunuabunu is the best complement for Cocoyam fufu.
🖤💚❤ You difficultly teach us how to budget. 💯
@ Jasmine hello lovely Chica, the price that you paid was okay compared here in my state . food eating out is so expensive oxtail dinner just one dinner cost like $28 to $35 so we don't eat out no more.. Thank you for sharing stay bless💖
In Ghana, the minimum wage is 2 usd a day.
@@realkumasi what is that in America dollar's ?
@@tashajordan8856
Yes... It is the equivalent in us dollar
@@realkumasi oh okay thanks..
Great video and all the places u visited look nice as hell
Aww, I thought you were going to promote Nubuke's channel, although I don't know what agreement you had for the collab.
Anyway that was just a thought. Great video tho 👌🏾
We agreed to do a dedicated video for my channel on another day. I just filmed these for myself on the day she wanted to collaborate for her channel hence why she is in these ones. These were not the videos made to promote her channel per se.
Thanks
Nubuke looks like someone who will eat alot a foodie 😂❤️

You went to fancy restaurant that's why it's so expensive.

You wouldn't be a West African woman if you don't love food! LOL 😂
Come to my village and I'll give you corn dough porridge with nut, bread and after few minutes you have sound sleep
Ok, hungry (again)
Is food poisoning with Kelewele sold on the streets a thing perhaps?
Never been sick from kelewele 🥰

These places I advice one perhaps goes there once a while. Else, one will find him/herself weeping and gnashing the teeth afterwards.
