Ambassador Peter Rayner’s credentials ceremony in Portugal

In a wonderful ceremony in brilliant Lisbon sunshine in front of the historic 16th century Jeronimos Monastery - the burial site for kings, navigators and poets - a 50-strong mounted Republican National Guard escort saluted our Ambassador to Portugal, Peter Rayner, prior to accompanying him to the Presidential Palace to present his credentials to President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa on 3 June.
