    Out of all the videos that I found on this type of install, yours was easily the most helpful. Just got the low beams installed. It gave me some trouble but I was finally able to get them installed today. Now waiting for it to get dark to really see how bright they are. Will work on the high beams next but I've done the reverse lights already as well and love the change. Will update on high beams on your video there. Thanks!!

    I appreciate your video. I had some Lasfit LAPlus H11's laying around from my wife's Tahoe. They have built in fans but seem to be more compact. Not sure if it's my past experience running performance/audio shops and installing dozens and dozens of bulbs for people that helped me, but I was lucky and got the lows done in about 10 minutes. I was very relieved! Hardest part for me was getting those pesky dust covers back on. Thanks for your video.

    I have Lasfit LED bulbs in my own Custom Trail Boss but they're not the upgraded model like you have with the built-in cooling fans. They charge over $100 for those, really kind of them to send them for free and should you ever have any issues their customer service is top-notch! I had been running halogen lights for years never knowing what I was missing out on until I stumbled upon a similar video to this one that turned me on to lasfit

    so legit the light labelled PASS you put into the drivers side and then the one labelled DRV you put into the passenger side? was everything aligned?

      Had to adjust the rotation angle on the driver side one, but yes that is how I was able to get them to fit.

    I did the highs & lows at the same time. The high beams were the easiest but that drivers low beam took about 30mins with myself and a coworker to get it in. We couldn’t get it to fit for anything but we finally got it but then it was hard to get the cover on😂😂. We even took the fender liners out to get better access I refused to take the entire front end apart. Also I got their reverse led lights and holy crap it’s like the sun back there when you have have it in reverse at night. I’d highly recommend them as well as the headlights. Whoever gets my truck next have fun if you ever need to change them.

    After wasting two hours trying to install with no luck myself. I noticed your video struggling the same way I was. - Tired switching DS to PS as you did and install was less then 15 mins. Don't know why manufacture cant label correctly - Thanks for the video

    Just a wild guess here, but looking at the lights on your garage door, it does indeed look brighter on the left and a tad bit higher. This would explain why one is labeled driver and the other passenger. You don't want the bright one on the oncoming traffic side. Now you gotta figure out why the heck they were so hard to install correctly. I believe the factory had it right as far as the light pattern goes. I had a heckuva time as well trying to replace mine. Tore my hands up as well. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

      Did you end up having to switch driver and passenger bulbs?

    • @triumphnutter
      @triumphnutter Рік тому

      @@limitedslipautomotive I did not switch mine. Mine were not even designated driver/passgr. One thing I found that helped tremendously was to remove the new rubber seals from the new bulbs and fit the original seals from the halogen bulbs. The seals that come on the LED bulbs are too thick and you will have to struggle with it to compress it into the housing before it will rotate. After switching out the seals it was way easier.

    Great video man. I may have missed this but did you adjust the aim your low beams down after you lifted your truck? Something I had to do after I lifted/leveled my old truck to keep from getting flashed all the time. I did the same brand of light in my tail lights to help me see better with tinted windows and they seem good so far. You still liking the headlights? I don't think the stock halogens are terrible but considering LEDs.

    • @limitedslipautomotive
      @limitedslipautomotive  2 роки тому +1

      I never adjusted the headlights after the lift, but never had anyone flash me. If it proves a problem with the LED’s i’ll make an adjustment. I didn’t mind the halogens either, but these are night and day (pun intended)

      @@limitedslipautomotive Nice, they look good in the video. Sucks that the install didn't go as smoothly as it should have for a pretty straight forward upgrade. I had similar issues when I put LEDs in my dad's F150.

    i just bought the full conversion kit for my truck these new led bulbs are a severe pain in the butt to get in to the point and vie tried everything from swapping them to opposite sides and I cant get them to lock into place. also idk what happened but now the passenger side marker light doesn't want to work at all. not to mention they gave me a cooling fan cover that doesn't work. all bulbs work except for the one side marker light idk what it is a bulb and the passenger side after install refuses to work. swapped bulb on driver and nothing. blinkers work but passenger side doesn't stay illuminated like the driver side does when lights are on. so now I'm dealing with this. a possible blown fuse and with a bulb that doesn't work and a cover that doesn't work as well. overall lasfit is a great product and I recommend them highly.

    It was a pain to put in my fahren led lights but they went in. Still need to led my high beams, but im guessing ill have to go through wheel well. I did use lasfit for side markers and turn signals but get the dreaded error if the turn signal is on for a long time. GM should have designed the headlights better for bulb replacement.

      @@limitedslipautomotive
      The resistance isnt high enough with led bulbs so the truck thinks the bulbs arent working and either gives you an error message or the hyper flash which renders the led turnsignals inoperabl. The Lasfit turnsignals i installed are their canbus anti hyper flash...but if im at a light more than a minute to 2 minutes, they get hyperflash and the error code. I also have ther led reverse led lights which are SUPER SUPER bright! 👍👍
