This is such an important and informative video Big B. Often overlooked, a steering servo upgrade is one of the most important things to do on a RTR boat for sure. And good quality high torque metal gear servos are really inexpensive these days. A servo or servo arm failure at high speed can be very costly. Do the math... it's a no-brainer! Really like the process you go through for waterproofing and fitting a new servo. Thanks for sharing this bro, could save your subscribers many $s 👊👍
Love the vids! You’re my hero, during my RC boating career lol. Just did the maiden run yesterday on this. Lost steering. After taking the stock servo apart, 2 of the plastic teeth in the gear broke off. Unsure if anyone else ran into this? Time to upgrade.

Brother I absolutely love your vids. Your enthusiasm and commentary is what brings me back. I’ve been into Rc since 1976. Just bought the twin ariane 3 with dual 1000kv motors. This thing is top notch. Haven’t run it yet. Looking forward to asking you about tuning options. It comes with 3 blade props. All my buds are saying to get 2 blade props. I’ll determine that later but what are your thoughts right now. 3 blade vs 2 blade. I mean why would offshore electrics sell it with 3 blade if 2 blade is better? 2100.00 hundred bucks. I should have my head examined.
Thanks for all the support, my friend. My opinion, and this is just me, I like 2 blade props over 3 blade. Personally I think there faster on top end. There are exceptions to me a 3 blade prop gives you more out the hole take off, again there's exceptions. I think tfl sells that boat with a 3 blade prop, which is why ose sells there version with a 3 blade. Idk With my very limited experience with twin motor mono I think you could benefit from a 2 blade prop 10-15 degrees rake angle, like an ABC style prop. I've tried cnc x series low lift and detounged cnc props, noticing a high rake style prop has the best handling. Like I said I have very little experience with twin Mono. Hope this helps?
Build a bait boat for ocean and sell it not many out there and the ones that are seem to be made for average guy that doesnt fish everyday or maybe even something that just fits most boats you may already have. Some people use potatoe launchers or kayak the bait out. I think im just going to use my 23in stealthwake i put brushless in it going to just tape the bait to top drive out and hopefully just give it a nice pull and pop it off
Just put that servo in my swv2 aka the booty 1,anyway awesome servo total improvement over the stock one that started making a funny nice so I swapped before it died. Plan on putting one in my impulse 32. Peace.
I actually use those ds servos for almost all my builds after 5 years of running them I've only had one die. I've got one thats 5 years old and still does its job.
Have an 35KG servo coming. My question is on the flex shaft. BTW, my new UL-19 be here tomorrow. What I got to do to upgrade the shaft and where is the best place to get it from. Dimensions on the shaft, will also be very helpful. Please advise. Thanks
I love that video- great servo- I do have a question- and don't know where to ask-one of my trim tab screws stripped out on SW V2- how can I fix it? Is it into plastic or an aluminum plate? Thank you Big B-
I have the ose 150 in my boat it would be perfect paired with the stock motor. I've seen alot of guys put the 160 firma with the stock motor. . Beast mode
The 160 firma looks like fan cooled is that ok ?, can you send me a link please to 150 and 160 esc thank for your help mine coming in mail now but already scared to run it becouse the thisbthing over heats
@@IRONCLADRC really? I’m just having trouble assembling this servo and installing in my boat, I can’t seem to find any sort of videos on UA-cam of servo installs except yours
That dance in the preview was beautiful!

I spoke to you recently and you said you had stock servo no issues, I must of jinxed you lol, I sent my boat back to supplier it was faulty.
Lol yea I think I jinxed myself. Oh well the new servo should be a great up grade

Thank you Big B-
The trim tab adjuster screw? If so I'd use a 4m tap and tap new threads with a 4mm set screw. . I may do a tutorial vid here shortly
always present bro 🇮🇩👍❤
thank you also what ESC is good for upgrade from stock is no good ??

Big B. Do I need a 270 or 180 degree servo from Dsservo?????
Thank you.
I've been using the 180° ds servos 20 kg. For all my boats and trucks. So far no complaints or issues. The 25 or 30 kg may be faster & stronger.
How are you not killing receivers and are there water proof receiver?
CORROSION X. there water proof stock but I spray all my receivers with corrosion X.
I got the same servo but it didn’t come with the piece you use to connect the rod to the control arm
I've gotten several of these servos and they all come packaged differently from Seller to seller

sr which drill bit set you used to boar out the esc drain intakes ??
It's called an indexed drill bit set. I bought mine locally, I don't have a link sorry
No Link for the Upgraded Servo?
I SHOULD GET SOME X
I use it on basically everything, worth the little investment
