When you all get your own channel and start producing quality videos that are informative and astute, then you can feel free not to brand it.
I have the 2018 X6. It's not meant to be a "family car" per say. It's just my mother and me when I'm driving her around. I don't care about the back seat really. I love the car. There are of course a lot of cars out there with more than 300 hp but that's all I need. I rarely fall for the meat-head that wants to race me from a stop light but I did the other day and the G's that pulled on me made me light headed. I actually got a little nervous. I may only have 300 HP but the twin turbo is no joke. I won't be doing that again.
Mike Kay yours comment about logo magnet is list aggressive then most I’ve read so far, it could pass even for a Somewhat polite(in comparison..), me personally, really don’t care about logo especially on that color, on this BMW....Alex might just left ther kind of on purpose to see the reaction...if color of a car would be a mate grey or similar would look at list better just imho..

I am driving the X6M and I am loving it. Who needs space in the rear? Not the 2nd or 3rd fastest SUV? Which one ist faster? The Range, the Porsche? rofl! I smoke the U-GLE Amg Merc on a daily basis and I am not afraid of the TrackHawk.

I really like it so much I bought one for my wife... really nice sport SUV. Way better looking than anything else out there. No wonder everyone else is trying to copy. How many people actually use their suv for what it's meant to be...? We get a lot of looks and double looks when we drive around town. Couldn't be much happier with our x6...sporty suv fun to drive..!!!!
12:50 technically, the 2004-2006 X5 4.8is was in stride with the Porsche cayenne (honorable mention 4.6is) and the first ever BMW SAV with M gauges but not an S designated engine. These were the predecessors to BMW making an M SAV AKA the X5M and X6M

He makes it pretty clear. X5M drives the same while being more practical. M5 drives even better if you must have the styling and are willing to forgo practically.
From some angles I like it and from some I don't lol. I see enough of these on the road near me. They look well enough in person, it's in pictures where they look kinda funky.
Traction control button isn't hardcore ON/OFF button. In adjusts between full stability control, limited stability control with wheelslip allowance and disabled traction and slip control. MUCH better than average YES/NO(notactuallyno)

That shifter is weird...you mentioned it goes into park when you turn it off, but what if you want to get it into park without turning it off? How is that done? I think BMW’s typical shifter that’s in most of their cars is fine, why do automakers have to keep changing these? It’s only going to create confusion.

It is actually correct because these cars suppress noise and leave drivers with feeling that they move slower. All due to roots of the design - cruise on Autobahn at speeds twice (or more) than everywhere else.
What an awful concept for a vehicle. SUV, but make it less practical. Call it a coupe even though a coupe is and always has been a two-door vehicle. Charge a fortune for it. It doesn't do coupe or SUV well, so whats the point? Pretty senseless if you ask me. The only worse thing I can think of is the Murano CrossCabriolet. Despite all that, great review! You say this is not the 1st or 2nd fastest SUV. Outside the Urus, where do you see this X6M falls inline to top end? I've seen a handful of reputable videos that this stock will outrun the Trackhawk.
I prefer the first generation exterior design over this, interior wise, most BMWs looks the same anyways with minimal changes, I don't like the interior of the Mercedes gle coupe either but I'll choose its exterior over this.
The temp gauge goes to 340!?! Once the engine temp gets beyond 250 or so I'm not curious if it's at 295 or 340. It just a question of if your engine is fried or fried extra crispy.

I quite like the X6 and I think the talk about practicality misses the point. If I need to transport something, by the time it piles up into the greenhouse, it's time to think about a trailer. Same happens in respect to house support materials, such as bark. Look at it this way: X6 is large enough to accept anything that you can pile on a flat cart in IKEA. If X6 were classified as a sedan, nobody would complain. But it really is that: a normal car that is not flat like stupid cars of the 1970s and is more in line with the cars of the 1940s. Now of course you want to drive a pancake-shaped car for ultimate performance, so I would not be buying an X6 M: that mission is better accomplished by Corvette. But a regular X6 is just about perfect - except for the price. P.S. As far as the rear headroom, I'm not a chaffeur, I buy the car for myself and my spouse who riders shotgun. When I pick my children at the airport, they'll have to deal with it.
An interesting concept, but... money would be better spent on a more usable concept. Rear window is useless, unless a Kenworth pulls up behind you; otherwise, it's just the second segment of a panoroof. Its back end is just too jacked, like some bully gave it a wedgie. Victims unlucky enough to suffer the rear headroom, probably feel similar discomfort.
That giant blue AA sticker on the door is just obnoxious, what the hell man? We know it's on your channel, no need for that. No other UA-camr does that, even ones with 1mil + subscribers.
Not sure what the purpose is for all these slopped roofline SUV's companies are coming out with. You could not even keep your head upright in the rear seat, something akin to the 3rd row in a large crossover. Simply not practicle. And the price, well that's not practicle either. Alex can you please test a new 2018 Mazda 6 Signature soon, since I am considering it as my next "car".

Here is some context on these performance SUVs.... The E9x M3 ran to 60 in 4.4 seconds and did the quarter mile in 12.9 @ 111, with city/highway FE at 14/20. The X3 M40i is as fast to 60, a hair slower through the quarter (13 @ 107), and gets *18/25* FE. Grip/braking are tough because tires have come a long way in 10 years... I'm sure at the limit the M3 will leave the X3 for dead, but who drives that hard on the street? I've tracked performance cars and motorcycles... if you are going that hard on the street you're an asshole. I understand and share the preference for proper CARS, but honestly, for a responsibly driven street vehicle, something like this X5 with the 3 liter is a good all around package. You give up very little objectively; cars have become the emotional choice.

Really like it overall, but as I have mentioned several times, this car is just not for me due to that insufficient rear seat headroom. I am 6.3", and there is no way I could sit there comfortably regardless of how much legroom it offers back there.

GC has a real low gear, which X6 does not. The Trailhawk option has a rear locker, I think. In my experience, at least, it produces a meaningful increase in capability, especially with proper tires.
The X6 has always been ugly. But with that orange paint, it is truly horrific. More $$$, more weight, less cargo room, less visibility, and a whole lot more ugly. I never will understand why someone buys one of these vehicles.
Ok? Nobody is taking these to the track. 99% of people who buy cars like this, or even something like an M3 or M4 never take them to the track. Why would track performance matter?

Isn’t this a horrible selling vehicle? I’m so tired of hearing things like “four door coupe” or “coupe suv” from automotive manufacturers. Coupes are a TWO DOOR car.
I've got the regular X6 35i. Not a single person told me it is ugly. In fact, several people in shopping mall parking lots told me "nice car". I've got a profile on one of the car sites and I get views and likes of X6 photos from about 50+ guys a day. Guys only say it is not practical, it is not this and not that - in reality, they envy that someone can shell out 70k+ just for "weird" shape and just for the number "6" being the highest in model line at the moment, compared to puny X1,2,3,4. Yes, sometimes style creates negative bias towards X6. Then again, why keep looking at it if you don't like it. X6 is like a magnet, and this is why it is totally worth the 900 per month payment. That, and the fact that it has great ground clearance, comfort for long drives, and the few useful things that budget SUVs don't offer - like night vision that saved me from animals a couple of times.
so they took a car and raised it few inches and now its thousands of dollars more.....yeah, typical of german marketing. and when it hits 100k miles, it'll be pretty much worthless because nobody wants to spend $1000 or more everytime they take it in for service which will happen very often.....uh, no thanks, been there done that. Will hold on to my old lexus that cost me less than $500 in repair in 5 years of ownership.

Jay Hoonigan buying a brand new $100K car isn't a rational or value based decision anyway... what are a couple of nickels and dimes for options when you're gonna lose $20-30K in the first year of ownership? You're trying to evaluate these cars on the same value scale as a Corolla. It's not a German thing, it's a $100K car thing. Something like a Golf is pretty reasonably equipped for the money without all the nickel and diming, largely because that kind of customization eats at the already low profit margins. Ultimately it's supply and demand... clearly there is something more to a $100K+ car than features you can find in a Ford Focus... if not, nobody would buy $100K+ cars. It's a silly thing to complain about

If kept long term a Cayenne might be a better choice, BMW's V8's reliability is very scary.

The climate control display is overly cluttered with the decimals. I don't need to know that temperature is set to 60.0*F instead of just 60*F.

I've got the regular X6 35i. Not a single person told me it is ugly. In fact, several people in shopping mall parking lots told me "nice car". I've got a profile on one of the car sites and I get views and likes of X6 photos from about 50+ guys a day. Guys only say it is not practical, it is not this and not that - in reality, they envy that someone can shell out 70k+ just for "weird" shape and just for the number "6" being the highest in model line at the moment, compared to puny X1,2,3,4. Yes, sometimes style creates negative bias towards X6. Then again, why keep looking at it if you don't like it. X6 is like a magnet, and this is why it is totally worth the 900 per month payment. That, and the fact that it has great ground clearance, comfort for long drives, and the few useful things that budget SUVs don't offer - like night vision that saved me from animals a couple of times.

so they took a car and raised it few inches and now its thousands of dollars more.....yeah, typical of german marketing. and when it hits 100k miles, it'll be pretty much worthless because nobody wants to spend $1000 or more everytime they take it in for service which will happen very often.....uh, no thanks, been there done that. Will hold on to my old lexus that cost me less than $500 in repair in 5 years of ownership.

No. the germans start this and soon other manufactures copy it and do the same. like msrp used to be msrp but the germans put msrp + $1000 delivery fee and what do you know, other manufactures do that too now. So the msrp sticker price isn't really the sticker price anymore. .....oh, u want other color than black or white? $800+. Soon I wonder if you have to pay extra for back fold down seats on sedans, you get for free on Hondas, toyo, kia, ford, chevy, ect. Oh wait , You do? another $500! Germans are known for nickel and diming but the Americans and Japanese don't. Plus on a $100K car there are going to be a ton of nickel and dime options anyway. You're being dramatic

Jay Hoonigan buying a brand new $100K car isn't a rational or value based decision anyway... what are a couple of nickels and dimes for options when you're gonna lose $20-30K in the first year of ownership? You're trying to evaluate these cars on the same value scale as a Corolla. It's not a German thing, it's a $100K car thing. Something like a Golf is pretty reasonably equipped for the money without all the nickel and diming, largely because that kind of customization eats at the already low profit margins.
Ultimately it's supply and demand... clearly there is something more to a $100K+ car than features you can find in a Ford Focus... if not, nobody would buy $100K+ cars. It's a silly thing to complain about
