  • Today I experimented with how fast you can spin various Lego tires. Give me some ideas of other lego things you want to see hooked up to this motor! Thanks for watching!
    A full 3 Cell Lipo battery is 12.6V, the motor is 3800KV. Therfore 12.6 X 3800 = 47880 Rpm.

      They don't really have the manufacturing capacity for it, plus doing parts that precise on such a large scale is exorbitantly expensive.

      It’s is the image stabilisation of the camera that he is using. I have a camera that makes the exact noise. To fix it he needs to connect an external mic.

    0:49 literally took me 30 odd years back in time. Used to wire allsorts of none lego stuff up to lego. AA Batteries are suspiciously close to 2 blocks width :D

    Try adding weight to the baseplate which could cancel out the vibration and add height to the machine so the tire doesn't touch the baseplate when it expands

    Do you have a coupler that's actually balanced? I think the one you've got there might be aluminum but has steel set screws, so it's contributing significant vibration to the system - more than the tires. And how's the motor-to-axle-journal axis alignment?

    The Aytron Senna set's wheels are fully made from hard plastic. You'll be able to get 100% but the tyre won't expand

    Try super gluing the tires to the rims, you will be able to get a lot more RPM out of them.

    Try bearings instead of plastic shafts through plastic holes when using a 100k rpm motor. Also glue the rubber to the rim before testing for a much more fulfilling result.

    For some reason I'd like to see a worm gear turning a regular gear at these speeds. 47000rpm should get a 24-toothed gear to 32 revolutions per second.
