I know your post of this video is a little old and I just ran acrossed it.....ive played for about 30 years....ive played in bars majority of those years and i always pay very close attention to my sound on the kit...always keep them tuned....many years of mix matching heads until I found the tone I was looking for....diffent ways of muffling....dead ringers and the sound ive always looked for in live situations is the way your kick sounds....again with heads....muffling....danmar click pads with wooden beaters....im not a sound guy and never could grasp it so I just ended up triggering my kick....love the way you kick sounds....actually the whole kit.....in your videos do you trigger your kick? Thanks....scott
You should totally do no excuses by chains, you would absolutely kill it. Sean Kinney is such an underrated drummer too. Hes always on point
