This is an extended arrangement of "The Piano Duet" from "Tim Burton's Corpse Bride".

Some people hate the ending of corpse bride. Yes it did not became happy ever after for victor and emily, but that's what makes this movie beautiful. A beautiful tragedy that shows Emily's true love towards Victor

Out of all of Tim Burton’s movies corpse bride is my absolute favorite. The music, the characters and the story. The ending with Emily turning into thousands of butterflies is my favorite ending to a movie ever.
I think in the end that’s what put her at ease, knowing her love was happy, before she saw love as something that made her happy, but in the end the realized that it wasn’t Only being happy it was sacrifice as well

The ending of corpse bride shows what love really is. Emily loved Victor, and so wanted him to be happy, and just wanted the best for him. She knew he wouldn't be happy with her, but Victoria made him happy. That's real love .

I think the ending is one of the most beautiful things burton ever wrote. Life was for the living. By letting him live, she gave him the greatest gift that someone who loves you can give.

Same here. I would have went with Emily in a heartbeat. But I suppose she needed peace more than love.
With how the movie played out, love was what drove her every action. Though if Victor had chosen Emily, Victoria would've probably gone down the same road as Emily... ! Tim Burton should make a "what if" movie of that!... But that's just wishful thinking of mine. I just felt there wasn't enough to justify Emily's "butterfly peace exit". Ahhh the movie really left me feeling frustrated yet pleasured at the same time.

Am I the only fucking one who liked the ending? I do not think Emily was his true love, I think he felt sorry for her and loved her in a very different way to Victoria.
Does no one realise Emily was in Purgatory, Limbo? Everyone around her had clearly been murdered, killed in battle or died before their time. At the end her killer died, and she could finally be at peace. If she had killed Victor she could never move on, and she might have trapped him in everlasting death with her - slowly rotting over time.
It's the most beautiful ending I've ever seen and I like how his feelings for Victoria, love at first sight, did not change.

Ironic. I know a guy since 2016 his name is Victor. I fall in love with him since then. But we started to talk last year in October maybe. I was happy. Then a few days ago I saw him with a girl. I've only seen the movie once or twice, but I have always viewed it as a cinematographic masterpiece. The music and the storytelling, the visual arts. It is masterfully cradled and crafted to perfection with an easy view for understanding. The music lets you unlock the door to the feelings of the characters and is both beautiful and somber, a perfect blend. I could go on and on, but let me just say, props to the filmakers, and props to you, The Wild Conductor.
Edit- I also think it is interesting how he gave Emily and Victor's parts each other's colors. He wore different suits for the two parts, but he gave Victor's black suit to Emily's part, and Emily's blue color scheme to Victor. Nice little detail.

Such a beautiful song. A melody that 2 people with unhappy emotions come together and the Male shows his sorrow and pain to the female who which also shows her pain and sorrow. Victor plays his hearts true emotion to make Emily happy agine. I don't understand how such a beautiful song can have so much meaning behind it. Best duet in my opinion.

I get called childish because this is still one of my favorite movies when, in all honesty, this wasn't a children's movie. The topic at hand and the depth of the conflict go right over their heads. This is a touching love story, ending in a beautiful tragedy as hearts collide and break. The way I can feel the emotions in this song, its a phenomenal film and very well put together storyline. I can only hope that, one day, I find someone who loves me like Emily loved Victor.
Tim Burton will always be one of my favorites. Because he gives us such sensitive topics and turns them into something completely different, but yet the same. Also, amazing music!
