Maw of the infernal. It is really good, but it feels like leading a monster army into war when i use the other 2 pets too. Before i used Ilambris for a very long time. In addition to this the lightning effects are really good looking.

I totally agree about tanks not liking Maw. The pet is constantly getting in my way so I can't see when the boss is about to hit me with an attack. Also makes it harder to keep aggro on the boss so more likely the boss will start attacking someone else in the group.
Under 160cp will now go to your sticker book. Waiting to recreate it till your account is over 160 is efficient. But, you no longer are wasteful for farming below 160cp.
I was hoarding one of each set and each weight for shoulders and helmets for months before they announced that update. You bet your ass when that update hit my collection book got filled out pretty nicely in the monster helm set department lol.

If you are doing a vid for "5 Monster Sets YOU should farm", I was expecting 2 sets to be there: - Slimecraw, for when you don't have a healer providing that buff (e.g. 3dd +1t vet pledges), it outperforms everything else, and on vAS(++) it's also usable. - Iceheart, as it is helpful for a lot of people for soloing (vateshran & maelstrom), although maybe now with ring of the pale order, it's not so much. They are not better than zaan or maw, but I think they should be there. (I'd put slimecraw 3rd, iceheart 5th or honorable mention, leaving a slot for 4th and maybe 5th of your choice)
i think Zaan and Maw are both on #1, it depends on situation. I parsed higher with zaan by 4k consistently but I keep Maw on my inventory for those dungeons/trials that has the bosses where you shouldn't be too close to like Saint Olms in Asylum Sanctorium.
This was recommended to me I'm a come and go player but I come back this time and I'm lvl 402 magplar and thank you for this video. It might change in the future but for now iceheart will be the farm
In the new patch, Maw is not that great anymore since it no longer procs burning, in which the burning status effect is what makes maw so powerful because it can proc independently from other burning sources. So not only bad for the tank, it is also a waste of damage potential you could have gotten from other pieces like zaan, domihaus, and even grothdar (especially grothdar magDK). I also heard that even Ilambris outperform Maw in damage now.
I find that Nerien’eth is actually really solid with magicka templar. Since the sweeps attack is direct damage using that as your spammable procs the set very frequently.
Hey Adam, thanks for sharing this. I agree the Maw of the Infernal is hated by tanks, but it's so good! A question I have is what are your thoughts on the Shadowrend Monster set? I like the 1 piece bonus of more mag recovery, and while the clannfear does less damage to enemies, the 5% reduced damage seems nice. The biggest issue I have with it so far is that the proc requires that I take damage, which in PvE isn''t hard to do, in a dungeon with a tank who does his job at agro-ing everyone, it doesn't proc as much. Thoughts?

As of this patch maw of the infernal is worse than zaan for single target damage due to burning proc fix and should only be used when you can’t be in range for zaan. My list for dungeons and trials would be: Iceheart, Slimecraw, Balorgh, Ilambris, and Zaan with 2 piece crit also being good where raw stats outperform the procs.
I use it on my pet sorc witch runs Ilambris,Mad Tinker and mothers sorrow and the malstrum inferno staff.Its a apsolute power house but if u wanted to change up a bitt id toss out mother sorrow and replace it for STUHN'S witch gives more Penetration and more DPS

Curious about putting a Pokemon Trainer kind of character together where the whole theme and gimmick is that you summon a bunch of random stuff then let them run wild.

Well, actually if you're under CP160 it doesn't matter that much now. With sticker book in fact is easier just to recreate the monster sets/gear with desired traits, than getting the gear with good traits and cp lvl don't matter
A good tank never complains of Maw, here's why: 1. They are immune to most enemy's Cc, when the boss blast, aoe one hit, or do something, maw just continue to damage them. Which is good for its owners procs (like crit surge on sorc). 2. Maw's movements are calculated on server side, which means if the owner is a bit laggy, it wont affect maw's dps 3. Sometimes maws can take soft taunts from few untaunted mobs, reducing risks to dps/healers 4. Maws spawn point is on LA/HA point of contact, which means staves users will have the maw summoned next to the enemies, which is good for quick engaging enemies. A good tank doesn't rely on views for crowd control and targeting, I'm even using consoles with no cycle targeting.
idk what the picks are gonna be for tank but lately I had some fun with the Tremorscale set with its changes, giving it a unique phys resist debuff that I can stack on my other applied debuffs (from my pierce armor taunt namely)
Personally I love Maw and valkyn skoria. ILamberis is nice but if you proc it and ads/trash move towards you or teammate u you lose the damage as it does not follow the target last time I tried it. Thanks for the video though:)
You know as a new player who just started doing vets. I stuck heavily to the maw set. I was always pretty skeptical of the damage ilambras and zaan did but maybe I’ll have to give them a shot. Maw is nice but as mentioned I have gotten a few unhappy tanks especially when more than one person runs maw.

Iceheart is what I consider to be the best for PVP, its ez to activate and saves my ass constantly and works well with other sets that give boosts to ice damage
Since the nerf on Minor Berserk, Slimecraw performs quite a bit worse than these sets. From 8% to 5% which in reality only turns out to 3% cause of the way its calculated.
I am not a tank, but nothing annoys me more then Maw, for some reason it blocks some skills and breaks my weaving, so I have to aim upward and as a result I miss hostile aoe. The circle of endless pain for me. I wish there was an addon that removes bodyblocking summoned shit so that if I'm clearly missing my skills I'll still be able to see at least something.
Where do you get the Maw shoulders from? If it’s from an undaunted chest then which one do you need to buy because no maw of infernal chests have appeared
@@shawnbel1398 Earthgore for big heals or Symphony of Blades for resources (highly recommend). Sentinel is also a nice inbetween but requires people to move into a small area to get something from it, and It's in the base game.
Except that the 5% Minor Berserk is actually just about 3% increase in damage cause of the way it's calculated. These proc sets deliver 3-6% extra damage. I also used to equip Slimecraw, especially when minor berserk was still 8%, but it's quite a loss now compared to these sets so I replaced it.
Wanted to see the size of domihaus ring, but u didnt show. Also i didnt notice any meteor shower from illambris. But hey, u spent like 90% of the time reading the tooltips everyone already knows. Guess u needed to make video longer. This video was 12 minutes of useless blabing to me

Mother Ciannit is a brilliant set for solo MagPlar. My mate started using it a month ago and it completed his build. He dies far less often now

Ilambris has always been my friend weather in a dungeon or Trial.

160 cp vet for non-dlc. Therefore, they can get Ilambris, slimecraw and stuffs
He said 160cp is the max cp drop so no point doing vets before you at least reach that.
Nerien'eth hits like a truck but it does not proc as often as it should despites the 3 secs cooldown. Sadly :(

In Elden Root go to Maj al-Ragath and buy Banished Cells coffer, you get either Banished Cells or Maw of the Infernal from it

Umm, a constant 5% boost on ALL damage is better than any of these conditional damage sets. Slimecraw gives the 5% boost known as Minor Berserk.
Except that the 5% Minor Berserk is actually just about 3% increase in damage cause of the way it's calculated. These proc sets deliver 3-6% extra damage. I also used to equip Slimecraw, especially when minor berserk was still 8%, but it's quite a loss now compared to these sets so I replaced it.
