He broke the 4th wall while literally standing on the 4th wall of the island. Also he doesn't know if the viewer is smiling or not. The only good point was we watch this show cuz the cruelty. It makes it so real almost.

It's still amazing that the restorationist titans were the same titans from season 1. The one with the big beard was the one that ate Eren in Trost, leading to his first titan transformation.
Also, I want to mention the exceptional acting of the guy who makes the voice of Grisha, Hiroshi Tsuchida, and it's not even his best performance on this show.
25:09 those titans were show up already at S1 ep5 in The Struggle for Trost. The long brad titan had ate Eren, and the small big eyes titan killed Nina and appeared later in ep8 in the supply base. And the titan who ate Tomas as well.
To everyone confused on the definition of founding and coordinate. Founding means to establish or create something. A person creating a company is a founder. A coordinate means a guide or a reference point. Continuing with the company example, once a company gains employees, the founder becomes the coordinate to the employees because the founder has significant influence in direction and structure of how the employees should act within the workplace. So essentially, Ymir is the founder because she was the first creation of titans and she is the coordinate because she sets the rules and directions for all other titans.
Everytime this episode comes, everyone try to count the titans, your counting was perfect, i never seen someone reach 8 of the 9 (only one actualy but he is a hack)
Eldia (Erudia => Erde = Earth), Marley (Mare => Sea) The English translators chose to translate them as "Eldia" and "Marley", but given how Japanese doesn't have the letter L, the above etymology makes more sense.

being turned into a mindless titan for eternity to haunt and devour people ( their own people) is a terrible punishment . people turned into titans can't all be in control of their titan body nor d they have powers like Eren, Annie , Reiner Bertholdt or now Armin, the majority of titans are like giant zombies with no free will other than eating people ( when Eren first appeared as a titan even you could see he stood out from the others even though you had no information about titan shifters at the time ) Ymir even described the 60 years she spent in the desert as a mindless titan like a nightmare ( until she was finally "freed" by eating Reiner and Bertholdt's friend, which allowed her to become a conscious titan/titan shifter. if it wasn't for that coincidence, she would have remained a mindless zombie titan for eternity or until a scout cut her nape)
You literally become bystander of your own body and become murder machine of killing your own people and u see it with your own eyes, its horrible. Bless u if u just get kelled in that situation
I read somewhere I can't remember now that what Reiner actually said in the japanese original voice was that their mission was to wipe out "this humanity" or "this part of humanity", not all of humanity. Edit: I googled it and found this on reddit: "FWIW, the original sentence in the Anime was 俺たちの目的はこの人類すべてに消えてもらうことだったんだ Which would literally translate to "Our goal was to eliminate all of the humans here." but Eren (plus the translators and audience) would probably interpret it to mean "Our goal was to eliminate all of humanity." if you didn't know that there was a whole world outside of Paradis (basically, the この in この人類 does point to saying "the humans here" but it could also be a filler word and you would assume the latter if you didn't have the larger context). Depending on when the translation was done, the translators may not have known that information, and so they chose the interpretation that made more sense at the time."
Subtitles said "Our goal was to eliminate all humanity within the walls" But that phrase is overlooked because at that point you think that the conflict is Humanity vs Titans, and that Reiner is against humanity. But of course now we know is humans vs humans. How right was Erwin when he said "Who do you think the enemy is?" 🥹

To lessen your confusion let me explain briefly without spoiling. 9 titans: those are the ones you saw already, the titan shifters, Eren has 2 titan power, the titan from Owl, and Reiss family, Frieda the founding titan. We assume Grisha ate Owl because Owl's titan form looks exactly as Eren's titan form. and we all know that Grisha massacred the Reiss family to get the founding titan to restore "Eldian Empire", Eren ate his dad so that makes him have 2 titan power. 1 and 2 = Eren (Unknown name titan and Founding titan) 3 = Colossal 4 = Female 5 = Armored 6 = Ymir the girl with freckles(Jaw Titan) 7 = Beast 8 = Unknown 9 = Unknown Now about that Eldian people are titans. Remember that Eldians aren't born Titans, they are born humans but has titan blood/their DNA has titan coding, which if you used a spinal fluid from the actual titan, it will trigger and make them actual Titan. That is why they are called "Subjects of Ymir" because during Eldian Empire they forced breeding and gave birth to human babies with defects in their Genetics that can turn them into titans. That is why the whole world hate and/or scared of Eldians, because they are the only race that can turn to titans. if you inject titan spinal fluid to Marleyan or other race, it won't take effect. Eldians in the "Main land" are afraid of becoming titan because they'll become mindless. it's like a life sentence until you are killed by other Eldian(Scouts) in the Island. Remember that the 9 titans are not made using spinal fluid, they need to "Eat a titan from the 9" to be a titan shifter, it is like passing the torch to next generation, that is why when Eren was eaten in Episode 5 in season 1, that grandpa titan didn't become a titan shifter because he didn't chew.
