I was there in 2000. We took a vacation from our vacation. Planned on staying two nights, ended up staying five or six. All stairs, all of the time. What a workout. Took day trips to Pompeii and Capri from Positano. Stayed at what's now called the "Villa Ambro" I think. I recall we paid around $15/ night at the time. Maybe 40,000 lira/night. We also saw the Red Bull cliff divers diving off the bridge at Fiordo di Furore, about 10 km south of Positano. Then we finally dragged ourselves away from the beach and back to Rome and saw the Pope concert on Wednesday. I had to re-up the Trevi fountain coin toss as well.

Positano is famous for lemons and the food. If you are still there, look up 'Mama Agata', she makes the food and her husband grows the grapes for the wine, on a beautiful home estate.

9:40 The aluminum "rocks" are melted pieces of planes and ships from World War 2. If you find a lot of them you might consider contacting a WW2 Museum and see if they want them for archive and display. They may be interested in the bullets you find in the same areas. @TheHippyDragon We have the same melted pieces of aluminum in every river in the middle of the U.S. Every river or creek with a gravel bottom. The pieces are tumbled over time and the pieces become smoother and more round, just like using a rock tumbler. In the case of a sea or ocean, the constant wave action acts as the tumbler. One could always have the pieces analyzed to know for sure.

It looked like you had an audience of swimmers just waiting to see your finds as you surfaced. Great find on the 9k ring. Did you know that 9k is not sold in the US? The minimum is 10K.

Huge congrats on your beautiful white gold ring. I found a 14k white gold hoop ear ring last year in a store parking lot. I thought it was silver until I got home and looked at it with my loop. That was the first time I found gold without my metal detector. Hope you had good luck at the rest of the beaches.

What is the stamp for white gold? white gold has half the gold content of 18ct., so jewellery made in 9ct. gold is stamped “375”. Palladium is quite a soft metal, so 9ct. white gold is (contrary to popular belief), less hard wearing than 18ct.
I saw that bell your mom was ringing. My grandmother had the exact same bell. Hers came from our family home in a small mountain town called Bovino in Italy. Not far from where you were (as the bird flys). My parents have the bell now. Very cool to see it in Italy!

My family had our lodging, airplane tickets and car rentals all secured and ready to fly out with my metal detector and dive gear when C19 hit and none of us were allowed into the country. So disappointed. Glad to see you made it over there.
Fun video! You and your mother are both adorable. I'm looking forward to your other explorations. I had a cute & peppy mother, too. She was funny and a great story teller. We were both very short statured,....me at a towering 5 ft. 6 inches and her at 4 ft. 6 inches. She was a school teacher, and loved the arts. With her encouragement I became an artist. ( A professional exhibiting artist & an art teacher). We both enjoyed estate sales, antique shows and art exhibits.

Was looking forwards to your dinner portion of this adventure either going out or what you create at wherever you're staying i always find that enjoyable. I dig your Nomad hooka system, i used a hooka with full forced air mask when i cleaned hulls back in the 70's they've REALLY come a long way in development.BTW nice find w/ the ring....Aloha

Those aluminium nuggets aren't natural. They are melted to make that shape. It doesn't come from the ground looking like that. It's a powder. 👍💚💛❤️ Great finds. That opal ring looks rare. I've never seen red before. I once made a video of an opal I found in a stream in England but it was blue
I'm wondering if the 325 is a worn 925 (sterling). The number for 9k gold is 9/24 or 375. Of course you can see it much better than I can so you make the call - Awesome finds as always!!

That water looked very clean for a touristy area. I didn't see any algae other than on those stones. Did you get a water temperature?
Those 'aluminum rocks' are probably beer cans that were thrown in a beach bon fire and melted into your famous 'rocks' :)
