Next time you find something encrusted in minerals like that a weak acid like vinegar could likely be used to dissolve what I am assuming to be calcium deposits from the spring.

3 stone earring came out nice. The little dude is probably a bracelet charm. That water must've been nice, even without gold showing up.
Hydrochloric acid will dissolve those deposits right off of all of your metal coins. There’s several spots like that in the USA. Little Rock Arkansas and Hot Springs Arkansas this is an area you would enjoy 10:41 where I believe you could use your metal detector with success. Check out the hot springs there. The large hills in that area are absolutely beautiful. A great place for a vacation.
I make reproductions of American Indian artifacts and tools. I have a friend who sends me a stone called Novaculite from there that’s my favorite flint knapping stone.

The mineral deposits can quite often be cleaned off by soaking in vinegar

You can get that crud off real easy by using acid even lemon juice would do. You need a flogging walking it with a hammer,
