Here we are once again on this day in 2012, December 23, 2023 has now officially marked 11 years when The OG Wiggles performed their last ever OG Wiggles performance.
If I went to this concert, I would have cried so much I wouldn't have been able to sing the songs. Especially with Greg's final words as the original yellow wiggle.
Oh, my god. This is just as emotional as the ending of toy story 4, as I’m seeing my childhood come to an end. Yes this event was seven years ago but it still does make me sad. One of my biggest regrets was not going to see them on their farewell tour so I could see them live one last time and say thank you for making my childhood a happy one and even making me feel better after a rough year at school. Alison Souter they are queen but for children’s music you are absolutely right I saw this show when I was 5 and asked where r they going to my mum and I watch this and to this day it brings a tear to my eye and just makes me want to say thank you for making my childhood such a happy one as if it wasn’t for them I would have had no interest in music 😢
I miss them all. Greg was the best and Im glad I could see him in concert during the celebration tour, being the only time I'd been to one of Greg's concerts. I'm 13 now and the only other one I went to was the Go Bananas concert. Though I did meet Sam, no one will be able to replace Greg in my opinion.

Let's Start With Greg The Reason Why Greg Retired From The Wiggles As The Yellow Wiggle Is Because On April 4th 2010 On A Beautifull Friday Morning He Was Rideing His Bicycle For His Morning Exercise And He Accidently Pushed The Peddles On His Bicycle Way Too Fast And He Fell And Broke His Entire Nose And It Was Bleeding Really Bad The Good Thing Is That He Didn't Had A Cut On His Nose At All But It Was Bleeding And Completly Swollened So His Sister Toke Him To Manchester England Emergency Department Because He Usally Lives 572 Miles Away From The Located Hospital And They Checked The Entire Nose Carefully And Further And Then They Toke An X-Ray Of His Nose And When They Bringed The Results To His Sister Unfourtanely For Greg His Nose Was Completly Shattered And Fractured On The Top Of The Blood Vessel And They Decided To Do A Reconstructive Surgery To Straightned His Nose But Also To Allow Him To Breathe In And Out With His Nose The Surgery Was A Sucessfull One And When Greg Woked Up From The Surgery He Did Felt A Little Bit Sore And Painfull On His Nose But He Was Feeling Okay When The Doctor Came To Check On Him He Guaranted To Greg With A Firm And Serious Voice That He Had 2 Years Left On The Show Before He Can Recently Retire From The Wiggles For Good Greg Was Ultimately Pleased And Happy To Stay With The Wiggles For 2 More Years But Disapointed Because Of The Injury He Was Struggling That Day With His Nose He Recovered 4 Weeks Later And He Was Healthy And Strong Enough To Come Back To The Show And I Had Been To The 2 Shows Before The Farewell In Sydney Australia I Went To Swarian Great Britan To See The Do The Propeller Concert And Finished It Off By Going To The Farewell Concert In Sydney Australia It Was One Of The Most Emotional Farewells That I Would Always Remember In A Concert I Didn't Had To Say Goodbye To Them In The Concert Lived-In Sydney Australia Because Captin Shedasore Said If I Was Going To The Christmas Performance For The Holidays Of 2012 That Would Be The Actual Farewell That I Needed To Do For The Wiggles So On December 22nd 2012 The Day Has Comed For Their Final Performance In The City Of North-Colorado I Really Missed Greg He Was An Entertaining Original Yellow Wiggle And Knew How To Sing The Song He Actually Knew And Teached To The 3 Brand New Wiggles So Now Moving On To Murray. Well, Murray didn't retire because of health issues. He retired because he wanted to spend more time with his family. I think Greg retired the second time for the same reason, but I don't know. I would have to ask Anthony about that after I go to Philadelphia this September.
I went to the reunion at birsbane on Saturday 30 April and although I'm happy to have seen them at long last this video always make me bawl my eyes out especially when greg hugs Murray that literally caused me to burst into tears

yeah, he probably should have, he has stated several times that he absolutely HATES performing, he had been performing as early as 1979 as part of a band called the cockroaches (jeff was also a member of the band and greg was a roadie for the band too). while he and the rest of the band thought it was amazing to go touring and performing at the start of their career, their views on it changed very quickly. this is why the cockroaches broke up because they just couldn't do it anymore, and anthony's depression didn't help either.
WorldWideNoob he doesn’t deal with chronic depression anymore since 2004. But he really should’ve retired and they could’ve gone out extremely high. And Anthony can barely perform now. Greg is still working in children education with music and if there’s anyone who should’ve continued it should’ve been him. I saw an interview where he stated he was reluctant to leave because he regained his health and could tour again.
Nick Ferrante yea he can hardly perform but that’s mainly because he’s out of shape. Age also. But if he would’ve retired with the other 3 I feel like the group wouldn’t be what it is right now. Anthony was the glue holding them together teaching and mentoring the newer wiggles to perform. He brings something also to the group that can’t be replaced. As long as he’s still loving it he should perform
Dont remember about the concert, but I remember the 1st episode when they introduced the new wiggles, and to this day even after 10 years I still sometimes I still call them new because of the fact I got to watch the og's only for 2 years before they retired. Wished I was there in their early days tho.

I was at this concert, I was only 4 at the time so I didn't realise it was the final one. The new Wiggles just seem wrong to me.

I'm 14 and I miss the wiggles, the new ones are horrible. I'm from Christchurch and was lucky enough to see them twice
That makes 2 of us that think the new ones suck. Emma left at the start of this year for some reason, now there's a new yellow Wiggle again, and 2 extra Wiggles (red and purple). What an absolute freaking joke lol.

@@esbee1871 I respect yours. I was born in 2003, apparently started watching The Wiggles in '04 when I got a Wiggle Bay VHS for my first birthday, so I grew up with Greg AND Sam as the Yellow Wiggles haha. I also went to 9 concerts from August 2006-October 2014 (2 in 2006, and missed 2009).
