If anyone wants to bait pirates and be safe when filling their ship with cargo at unsafe places like Picker's Field, fake it at first. Go to the terminal and go through the motions but don't buy, then go back to your ship. If you didn't get ambushed, there's probably nobody there and you'll be okay when you buy for real. Unless a ship flies in at the wrong time, or maybe they just have a patient scout and a mantis with the quantum snare hanging out 30km out in space ready to pop.
