Loved this video tour of Portland, so much has changed since i left in 1985. On the other hand, I was there for 10 years and experienced some of the worst times of my life. Bittersweet memories
Portland, Maine is one of those hidden gems in the United States that will remind you of its former history of European colonization through the culture and architecture of the city.
Europe was originally aboriginal moors and all of the architecture was designed and built by aboriginal moors the word Europe actually got its name from a moorish queen name europa so I’m always intrigued by the aboriginal ancestors designs in architecture
@@Mrslykid1992regarding food, the restaurants I tried and really enjoyed were Bite Into Maine and Cowbell Scarborough! I went on historical and lighthouse tours for the most part
As a man who lived on the streets in downtown Portland, right on Oxford street in 2022 when the block was flooded with homeless that were in all kinds of messed up situations...Seeing this walk through downtown Portland really makes me want to travel back and live a semi off grid life, like that again. The people that aren't homeless are good to us, and we can advocate for our independance individually. I saw some familiar faces in the video, too.

I have not been back in Maine for years and I have to say I am shocked that movie theatre 2:27 is still open. I used to go there a lot as a kid. They had $1 movie nights back in the day.
For people who know... What is the public transportation in Portland? I would like to visit... just do not know if I will have to rent a car... or there is another way to move around the town???
This person's schizo. Portland's a nice place, and there are people who live there with good intents, and bad ones. The people I stuck with have real good intents, and know how to keep the peace.

I was in Portland, ME last year for a solo trip and it is seriously beautiful! I love Maine so much and I would absolutely love to go back there :)
Any recommendations to kick back and relax spots? Especially in the food scenery.

They moved after the oxford street shelter closed, last summer there were 400 tents in the city but mark dion cleaned up
so much better infastructure, walking for people, shops and houses above the shops, like in my country the Netherlands, Bravo.
