The $20/$50 trick can actually get the check-in clerks in trouble and possibly fired.
Just be nice and ask if there are upgrades available. In most cases, if there are, they’ll offer them.
My one time getting an upgrade was in 2001 at what then was still the new Aladdin. I’d checked in, the clerk was doing whatever he did on his side of the counter, looked up and asked me if i’d like a better room. For small additional nightly fee ( $10/night back then) i was moved from a basic two double bed room to a larger king bed room with a Strip view. I didn’t really need it, but it was nice being asked and readily affordable, so i took it.
you have a realy clear voice its has a calming effect.... keep up the good work!
I was in Vegas twice last year
It’s crazy how expensive everything was. I’m not sure how soon i will be returning back to Vegas
Good video 👍🏻
I actually was impressed with the fact that I stayed in Vegas and only spent roughly $1600-1700 all together. Partially because I stayed at Circus Circus, which, for the fact that I was mainly there to sleep and shower, was not that bad. Plus, I liked the oldschool slots- very easy to use/understand.
Thank you for mentioning the old school slots being easier! I thought I was the only person that look at the slots and wonder if the seat is going to launch me in to outerspace.
Capriotti's used to be my favorite place when I lived here. Man, they got ridiculously expensive and NOT worth it to me anymore for a lot of bread. Too bad but they are not what got them to where they are.
Thanks for the video, Aly! Looking forward to some good stuff from you in the future. Take care!
that was great information!! we skipped our annual autumn Vegas trip because of F1, looking forward to returning.keep up the great content!!!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS GREAT AND USEFUL INFORMATION ❣️
THANK YOU ❤️
Thanks for your video and compliments on Las Vegas. I live here and although I don’t spend a lot of time on the strip it’s nice to hear the positive stuff. I also want to say I traveled to Mexico recently and found your videos very helpful. Thanks for sharing great content.
Go off Strip 10 minutes! Area 15 & do the Rum excursion you see it on the website. Golden Tiki is awesome make res & the taco joint about 10 doors down is awesome with a speakeasy in the back then finish off the night at Sand dollar bar 1/4 block for live music and cool locals bar
Mas Por Favor is the Taco joint
Exactly! @@outlawstar4923
Great video
Great video, Aly 👏 🔥

at ph in jan.. did 20 trick and got same type upgrade you did strip view fountains
I could listen to Ally talk all day lol😍
Good content I myself would never go there but would rather save my money and head to British Columbia 👍
That's 😁 funny
I will visit Vegas in March coming from Europe. I must say that Europe is very expensive too so I guess I’m used to the prices. I enjoy the weather and the dry air. I just how you manage your expenses and what you find important to spend your money on and what not.
This Feb definitely isnt low season with SB58 in town. I am surprised it wasnt busier than it was though. I was there for 8 days (just got home today Feb 12th) expected it to be far crazier than it was. Vegas did a great job handling the Super Bowl and props to Police/Fire for handling it so well. On another note... bummed I never bump into Ms Smalls when we are in town for work lol.
So, is there a Planet Hollywood- Sephora connection? I couldn't help but notice the same black and white stacked stipe decor.
For me, the most noticeable increase in Vegas prices has come from resort fees and parking fees over the past few years. Plus, rewards programs (**e.g. Caesars Rewards, MGM Rewards) seem to be less rewarding. The rise in food/alcohol prices are noticeable but i've felt the same sticker shock in my hometown.
How did you find Planet Hollywood Ally? We are staying in June and have read some very negative reviews particularly about lack of customer service, dirty rooms and poor house keeping frequency. We were attracted by it's centre strip location and mid tier pricing but I don't want to stay at a dirty hotel.
We loved it and chose it exactly for the reasons you mentioned. The only customer service we dealt with was at check-in and she was very sweet (I think it helps if you're friendly too lol). Our room was clean, but we opted out of housekeeping (as we have a lot of camera gear that we don't want touched or moved) so I can't comment on that. Loved all the food options.
The constant smell of weed surprised us the most.
We were in Vegas right after the F1 race.
We traveled with our pup and were surprised that we nearly could take her everywhere, but they charged 150$ at the Cosmo each night… plus the resort fee and taxes… it was crazy expensive 😅 we didn’t go to fancy restaurants since they were so expensive- we always found good food for less money plus we had a credit for the Cosmo restaurants 😅 When will you travel with your pup again? We also were in Scotsdale with ours on this trip too. Loved your video about your trip to Scottsdale.
Oh wow! I don't think I'm brave enough to bring my dog to Vegas, but we're thinking Palm Springs for the next trip with her 👍
@@alysmalls We also were in Palm Springs. It’s very pet friendly in the city but a lot of trails are not allowed for dogs 😖 Just read a good blog about PS with dogs, let me find it for you!
I will be going to las vegas in August
I hope you know about the heat there
I’ll just stay in Mesquite at the Casa Blanca. Way more fun.
Timely! I haven't been to Vegas in 12 years. I'm flying in tomorrow to see Kelly Clarkson in concert and then again in May to see Shania and Maroon 5. So excited 😊
Oh wow those are going to be some amazing shows!!
If you're in a casino on the strip everything is priced like it's a theme park. If you're going in expecting that it's not too bad.
I have to respectfully disagree with you about the food in Las Vegas. Since I live in Phoenix, I used to go to Vegas quite regularly. I didn't go at all in 2023. I was just there a couple of weeks ago and couldn't believe how expensive food was in the basic food courts. Something like $20 just for chicken nuggets and fries. You got an absolute steal at Planet Hollywood for breakfast. Even the small stores in the casinos were selling little sandwiches for $10-$15.
I understand that the ripoff resort fees are going to be increased again by the greedy casino owners. A ripoff on top of a ripoff!
If you do a reasonable amount of play, you can easily avoid resort fees. Think of the "resort fee" as part of the room rate. Even with "resort fees", it is still quite easy to get a room for under $100 per night, which is far cheaper than most other vacation destinations.
I love your channel its amazing i love USA and pop rock music i hope this 2024 my dreams it comes true to play guitar in USA with Cooper carter my guitar hero ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊My name is mahdi and im 22 years old and i live in italy here in italy in my city i not have friends and a girl and nobody want listen me play guitar they dont understand me but i never give up on my dreams ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌞🌞🇺🇸🇺🇸🎸🎸🎸🎸❤️❤️⭐⭐🌞🌞🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸⭐🌟😊😊😊😊😊🇺🇸🇺🇸You are beautiful People really you are be girl really ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊i love your channel its amazing
Waaaaaay overpriced now. Crappy standard breakfast for two was 50$. Not what it was.
Las Vegas/Sinless City never changes, it will always be a conservative, Mormon-influenced city to live in stuck in the 1960's! Last big city to have a light rail system, last big city to have a world-class art museum.
Not my thing……too busy, too many people, just too much.
People love Vegas or Hate Vegas
Your videos are good but I have to pick you up on the prices of food. Your comparison between Blondies breakfast loss leader (special offer) breakfast and bloody Mary to the price of a breakfast in Mexico is disingenuous. If you bought other items from the Blondies breakfast menu much of it started at $15 for a meal. Having been in LV in September 2023 after a break of 2 years we noticed prices in many places are 30-40% higher than before. The quality in many places has gone down and prices have gotten silly. You have to look around for good prices or better still get off the Strip and go to Henderson etc. The best place for decent food within 10 minutes of the Strip is Battista's Hole in the Wall, near the High Roller. The prices are excellent and the food was traditional home made Italian fayre with amazing service. Well worth a visit.
i always watch your videos good infro.liked the one about finger lakes
Overhyped… Overpriced.
The "overpriced" part is The Strip. If you go downtown, or to locals casinos, you can find some good deals. Also, if you *insist* on staying on the Strip, make sure that you get everything comped.
Much like your opinion
Eh. If you do it smart it's not bad. Expect to pay sure. But you can be smart about it and stay on a budget
And you’ll still go lol
@outlawstar4923 yeah right lmao. It's okay I'll go on Sunday and go have an "overpriced and overhyped" time
