Jagged is a formidable 1 v 1 player on larger maps, as demonstrated by his recent series of battles vs Thomas on his UA-cam channel. Whilst watching this battle I knew there'd be a twist or two in the tail. I wasn't disappointed. Although it was a kind of a "Wow, look at that! That's hilarious." type twist.
Gyle, you might be interested in the "Advanced Reclaim" mod. It shows reclaim by color and size. So big reclaim is big and red and small reclaim is tiny and green. In between it's hues of orange. Also it shows the combined value of all reclaim on screen in a tiny window on top. This makes it very quick and easy to determine important reclaim fields and it also looks kinda visually appealing. Also it shows you the value of selected units. Could give an extra angle to your casts. It pains me how mozart used his com with such finesse but didnt go torps earlier in navy or range + overcharge from the side of the cliff to defend navy

Jagged took too long to get into the air and by the time he started he was on 2-7 eco income. with no PD in any of his resource locations.
41:00 Nah you actually couldn't do that, there were specific buildings that were amphibious/sea based and some that were strictly land, same as supcom, but there was admittedly a larger number of sea-based buildings than supcom has. One big difference to supcom is it had sea based options for eco. You could build tidal generators for energy and floating metal makers for metal (what total annihilation had instead of "mass", and a metal maker was the equivalent of a mass fab, so power hungry and not ideal). You could also build floating versions of what you could think of as the point defense equivalent along with torp launchers, rather than just torp launchers like supcom. You could even build underwater metal/energy storage and underwater fusion power plants (the total annihilation equiv. of a T3 pgen) which were pretty cool, and were only targetable by torps due to being actually submerged, similar to HARMS. All the regular land-based eco options and factories couldn't be built on water, though. Only ship factories. Even hover craft factories, whose units could obviously do the floaty floaty naughty naughty over water, ironically couldn't be built on water. Man, I can't believe you never played that game Gyle. Most viewers don't want to watch that at the beginning of a video. At the end is more palatable, but that's better served by a simple link to instructions.
Just goes to show how complicated this game is. Jagged barrel visioned navy like there's no tomorrow completely forgoing land and air. You can say ez was trolling, but it was 100% jagged's fault for getting dragged in to a 40min match when he should have won by minute 25.
He was 100% trolling, if blue was any other faction he would just have died. Once navy is won basically all the mexes on the map are dead, it makes sense to focus navy on this map, and his navy focus won this game. It's also unfair to say he had tunnel vision when he crushed all of blue's bases except his main with land forces
Barrel vision syndrome. He was just concentrating on navy and ignored land tech. Kept pushing t1 at the bases cos it was just barely effective enough. When he needed some land or air power, none were available. Just going t2 rhino's would have ended the game at 25 minutes.
I remember playing sup com back on 360 years ago and my favorite map on that was drake's ravine. I've noticed however that Gyle has no casted matches on it, is it just an unpopular map on pc?
really only their t3 mobile arty is the best (if we ignore aeon's awesome mobility, which i guess not many people care about in t3 arty); uef has better t3 navy & t3 land, aeon has better t1 tanks, 'phim better t1 arty, most/all other factions are better at t2 land AND navy. i guess cyb has the best t4 stage but that hardly matter for ladder. idk why they're quite so popular (though ofc mantis raiding & medusa is a pretty strong combo at t1) but i think it's the unit variety- they have reasonable units at every tier, not the best but 2nd place in a lot of things.
@@sjs9698 their t3 units are stronger then the counterparts of all other 3 races wehn it comes to production they can be constructed cheaper an faster then the others and in the direct comparison they nearly always win supirior fire rate or range or some special gimmicks all other factions miss. For examble the brick is the strongest t3 land unit on the field and sea (torps) They Navi battleship also much cheaper faster constructed ect. I think for one race they can to do much and overcome the strength of The other factions. But that's just my opinion 🤷♂️
