I've seen it before, when I was I kid, I was watching with other cousins and neighbors a local basketball game, it was a timeout, and the camera was on this team, where the coach was instructing what the players should do, who they should guard etc. and after the timeout, everyone was amazed that what the coach predicted, is what exactly happened! I saw something like that happen, only once, coz I don't really watch sports that much, but I bet, they happen more often, even players can predict what would happen in a game, well the good ones, like Larry Bird, who would tell others what he would do and he'd do it, same with Jordan and others can't do anything about it.

In my opinion, basketball is probably the easiest sport to rig without detection. There is so much subjectivity to officiating. The Celtics shoot 24 free throws to the Cavs 7 in game 4 of the eastern conference semifinals. It’s controversial, fans rain a few “refs you suck” chants, but otherwise we forget about it. In a sport like baseball, calls are much more black and white - the strike zone is measurable unlike a personal foul in basketball (in the playoffs everyone is hooking each other all the time anyway so who gets the call?). Plus, NBA officials are a relatively small group of people with a HUGE sway in the outcome of a game - that’s fewer people the league would have to buy out to fix games and fewer people to potentially leak the truth. So is the NBA fixed? Who knows. But if it is, I’d be shocked if the players had any knowledge of it. I think it would be known only to a handful of people at the very top and a small group of officials pulling the strings.
The NBA is a business. Obviously, they would do anything to generate more revenue. That's why smaller markets don't do well, even if they are playing well. For instance, the Nuggets were acting finicky. No one got suspended 😮

Great coaches, can sometimes predict the outcome of the game, because they've observed and studied the game, players, other coaches. I've seen it before, when I was I kid, I was watching with other cousins and neighbors a local basketball game, it was a timeout, and the camera was on this team, where the coach was instructing what the players should do, who they should guard etc. and after the timeout, everyone was amazed that what the coach predicted, is what exactly happened! I saw something like that happen, only once, coz I don't really watch sports that much, but I bet, they happen more often, even players can predict what would happen in a game, well the good ones, like Larry Bird, who would tell others what he would do and he'd do it, same with Jordan and others can't do anything about it.
You can see this in the Lakers games even today. You have to beat them to 20 to beat them by 5. It's rigged but not scripted.

In my opinion, basketball is probably the easiest sport to rig without detection. There is so much subjectivity to officiating. The Celtics shoot 24 free throws to the Cavs 7 in game 4 of the eastern conference semifinals. It’s controversial, fans rain a few “refs you suck” chants, but otherwise we forget about it.
In a sport like baseball, calls are much more black and white - the strike zone is measurable unlike a personal foul in basketball (in the playoffs everyone is hooking each other all the time anyway so who gets the call?). Plus, NBA officials are a relatively small group of people with a HUGE sway in the outcome of a game - that’s fewer people the league would have to buy out to fix games and fewer people to potentially leak the truth.
So is the NBA fixed? Who knows. But if it is, I’d be shocked if the players had any knowledge of it. I think it would be known only to a handful of people at the very top and a small group of officials pulling the strings.
The NBA is a business. Obviously, they would do anything to generate more revenue. That's why smaller markets don't do well, even if they are playing well. For instance, the Nuggets were acting finicky. No one got suspended 😮

The spurs use to get destroyed by the refs back then. If you breathed on a laker (especially Kobe and shaq) in the paint they would call a foul. Duncan would get hammered going up in the paint and nothing would be called.
