Watching the movie Schindler's List was my agenda every night after I went back from sight-seeing in Poland.
It was really interesting to finish it in Kraków, knowing the movie was largely filmed there.
Meanwhile, as everyone knows, there is war ongoing next door.
Can't describe how much the visit to Auschwitz impacted me. I think I will never forget those piles of shoes, luggage, and daily necessities left by the victims of war.
And I can't stop listening to the soundtracks from Schindler's List since then, they are just way too good.
從很久以前開始，我就對二戰和納粹集中營的歷史非常感興趣，相關的傳記和電影也看了很多。
其中一個促使自己之前到波蘭長旅的原因，就是二戰歷史。
在Kraków的那幾天，每天晚上回家就斷斷續續地看《辛德勒的名單》，在Kraków看著當地取景的電影，隔天再去各個場景觀摩，給我的衝擊特別大。
電影裏，讓我印象最深刻的就是穿著紅色外套的小女孩。
去奧斯維辛集中營的那天，走著走著就下起了小雨，我想自己應該一輩子都沒辦法忘記那些親眼所見，封鎖在玻璃櫃裏堆積成山的鞋子、皮箱、頭髮、鍋碗瓢盆，種種屬於戰爭犧牲者的物品。
從波蘭回到新加坡后，就一直在循環《辛德勒》的原聲帶。
對於這首曲子，各個樂器和交響的版本我都聼遍了，原是寫給提琴的作品，讓我一直思考鋼琴能如何詮釋。
試了各種各樣的編曲，覺得Francesco Parrino的編曲最接近我心目中的理想狀態。它不一味炫技，沒有用華麗掩蓋悲傷，還能讓演奏的人感覺有趣，投入其中。我一直都覺得編曲裏有讓聽者呼吸的空間是極爲重要的。
希望大家喜歡我的詮釋，也愿逝者安息。
