I miss Craig. He had a true gift for interviewing guests and really getting interesting responses out of them like I've never seen before or since.
+kiya12309 i feel like cos he's 'secretly' taking the piss out of them which makes it way waaaay interesting than usual
+kiya12309 I know it didn't show much in the last few years because he kind of got old and bored, but Craig always reminded me of a young Letterman with his interviews.
i always thought craig was savage. he really made it easy to detect the dicks among celebrities. those who came out well in the interviews are obviously wittier and have a better sense of humor.
and some you wouldn't expect to be so vain, just looked pretty bad. i though even bill maher looked bad on the show.
ashitakaharuo he could get surprisingly good tv out of some seemingly mediocre celebs too. Sometimes your low expectation guests ended up being a pleasant surprise under his influence.
You can tell that hosts like Seth stick to the script and carefully rehearse with pre-interviews, but Craig just talks to the guests which makes it so much better.
I really miss him. He use to make my days better when I return from work. He is the best host ever!
+Frank Rivera Oh I so agree. I worked a swing shift, so whenever I worked second shift I always watched Craig. On day shift I would catch the show sometimes, it was kind of late so he would be the last thing I watched, if I made it all the way. Third shift, well I just couldn.t we were not allowed TV at work
It;s not that James Cordon is bad, he;s not bad, but Craig was awesome, there;s a big difference between not bad and awesome :)
bah humbug let's be real, Corden isn't good either. I want to like his show but just can't.
I miss him too. He has that flow baby! An unlikely genius of sorts. Pair him with Josh Robert Thompson and that's magic
@@fe5018 i gave Corden a fair shake but he has no charm or charisma. he's a straight, discount Graham Norton. Craig was just the best
I've been surviving off old interviews and 1 minute Celebrity Name Game clips. I want more, Craigyferg!
His stand up special on Epix airs tonight.
+Carlo Von Sexron But it sucks, unfortunately.
onepunchtyler I thought it was pretty good. A lot better than some of his standup I've seen.
Carlo Von Sexron Maybe it's just me, but I didn't get many jokes.
+onepunchtyler It's not just you. I love him but he is not a very good stand up. His strength is improve and very quick comebacks. He probably is one of the best at those. But not a very good stand up comic.
Goddamnit it's blows so hard he got burnt out, because even on his bad days, he was fucking exceptional. All these guys that are left try so hard to be entertaining and fun and "up" now, but Craig just oozed charisma while being completely relaxzed and taking the piss out of it. It just sucks, you know, I really felt like I found my Johnny Carson or David Letterman, his show just appealed to me so much.
Same here, Craig was my Carson!! I loved his show, and like you said, he would take a piss on it all, playin a harmonica just fucking around and being genuinely hilarious while these other hosts take their job a bit too seriously and it shows.
Craig’s show was fantastic. the most original late night talk show maybe ever
Carson, Letterman, Ferguson. I love the SNL alumni but, it’s a different fish in late nigt
seth meyers is the most underated host.
+jesus tadeo lerma rodriguez There is substance to his conversations with guests. Many of the current hosts cannot do the same, not to name names.
Well like everyone doing something new it takes them a while to get the hang of it...he's only been hosting for a little over a year...he's really gotten the hang of it after a while and I would argue he's already the best late night talk show host
Best host currently...Craig was the best of course
But the show isn't good
+Albin Lundholm he's been getting the hang of it lately he was still new...it's actually really good now
I like how real this chat was, it's nice to see Seth more laid back to calm.
I miss Craig so much. He will always be the best late night host out of any of the ones that have been on in the last 15 years....
Come back to us Craig!!!!!
Oh how I missed that laugh!
*Tootsie-Frootsie*
Totally! It was weird also when the flags didn't come on his mouth when he cussed.
+Renzo Farfán "*BOO LAH LAH!*" was the one that popped in my ear
+Muzikrazy213 Karamba!
+Komic Kopal Followed up by him calling Michael a Racist. Haha.
Augusto Otsusg oh yeah, him and Geoff Peterson calling him a Racist ...and then "i bid you adieu"
oh the memories :)
This segment suits Seth most in my opinion. I wish the show was formatted this like some of you guys mentioned down below.
Completely Agreed! :DDDD DDD
I love their conversations. Get him on the show more often Seth! ;)
Oh man... These craig clips reminds me how much he cheered me up. I hope we see a lot more of him.
Ladies and Gentleman your host CRAAAAAIG FREGUSONNN
Ansh Dhote I feel like his name should always be said as "tv's Craig Ferguson"
Balls
Just stopped to watch this because of Craig Ferguson. I really miss him. He was the absolute best talk show host I've ever seen in late night, bar none. If you don't know his work on the Late Late Show, you should check him out here on YT. During the first few years of that show, Craig was phenomenal--funny, spontaneous, great storyteller, ability to interview anyone and make it fun when he was being silly or interesting when he was being serious. Tremendous blend of intelligence and incredible humor. Wish he'd come back to late night (without the robot though).
PerthTowne is that to say you didn't like the Geoff & Secretariat era?
I feel like I have found my people in these comments. Craig was always my favorite and I didn't know so many agreed with me. Walking away from reading a comment section feeling positive is so strange lol
yes haha!
Oh snap! Yes I’m feeling good from reading these comments too!
I fucking miss Craig Ferguson. No other host will compare to him!!
"They call it a Chevy Chase" LMAO
i really enjoy these kind of interviews. its very honest and refreshing.
What did we learn on the show tonight, Craig?
meow! :)
we learned Seth Meyers is a nice lad and there's someone Craig met who is an insufferable f$@king asshole
I love Craig Ferguson.
GODDAMMIT CRAIG WE MISS YOU!!! Please bring the quality humor back to late night tv :'(
My fav Craig moment was his 1000th show and he did the whole show with the alligator puppet.
Yeah, with Kristin, Maria Bello and Jason Siegel...
Seth Meyers, going out on a date with Craig? What would Stefon say?
+da96103 I was going to say exactly the same thing. XD
+da96103 Or Geoff, what would he say?
Run a new show on his own with Stefon as his sidekick and/or Secretariat kicking asses.
@@kpol1000 "the hell"
He'd find them a place that has everything:
-key fobs
-bike chains
-Spud Webb
-an old Japanese man with arthritis who still forces himself to bow at everyone
Plus, human strobe lights
A fun Craig interview was with Harrison Ford. They talked about airplanes the whole time, it was great.
Craig was the best. He's getting a new show on History channel called Join or Die which will be like a history-based talk show, so hopefully that comes soon!
Wow, Seth really has a lot to discuss. He's almost more insightful than funny, and I'm not trying to sound condescending, because I do find him funny when he wants to be. He doesn't make many jokes, but he always understands the other person's humor, or tries to. He reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld, who I find really intelligent.
I would watch the Late Night everyday if every interview was like this.
I was about to write that xD. It would be so much more interesting if they stipped all the bs and filler surrounding late night talk shows and just had a long simple talk.
Same.
I honestly think that Seth is the best interviewer of all the new late night 'kids'. Fallon's games are cool and Kimmel has the best segments, but Seth's interviews are so nice and easygoing-it's kinda like watching a younger jewisher CraigyF. Miss ya bb!
Gateaux Q lol 'jewisher' I havent ever watched Seth Meyers but he seems nice and easy going.
Except he's not Jewish.
You know it when you are being liked my Craig when he wants to date you 😆👌
Miss him so hard 😲
Seth u rock man. Those dudes and dudettes at nbc better give u a raise.
this was a better conversation than the ones Seth does in the interview segments. He was relaxed and having a genuine conversation (but that could just be the craig ferguson effect!). He seems too tense and jumpy during his show. Hope he's able to transfer some of this energy to his on-air interview segments.
It's been years since you made this comment, but I think Seth is the best interviewer in town now. Sean on "hot ones" is also great.
The most honest interview since he came off the air. and he's the fuckin guest
Almost four years, and still no sights of Craigy Ferg on Corden.
*tuttsi frutsi!*
The Chevy Chase. Heh. I have heard he could be difficult to work with.
I love both of them!
When it's possible again I'd like to see another 'how it went' segment. The show as a whole has a similar feel to this so it might fit in
For 10 years, Craig shared his Potato of Love with us.🥔
Love Craig Ferguson. I really want to know who he was going to out to Seth off-camera, and yet I admire him for his discretion.
I'm a Scot in Scotland but even so I thought I knew of all the late night talk show folks. Had never heard of Seth Meyers. Now I have, AND HE'S THE BEST EVERRRR!!!! But I can tell he's a genuine good guy like Craig so for that reason alone he's my faves. All the other talk show guys are phony candy-asses.
Willy T in Seth's favour he also seems to be like the only American talk show host who's being broadcast on British tv.
I mean yeah, Doreen gets aired too but that's cause he's British and has a built in fanbase.
Craig used to have Kristen Bell on the show a fair bit, even when there was the mock "feud" she had with Geoff Peterson after being passed over for being Craig's sidekick. Towards the end, she appeared at the start of a show to have a fireside chat. She looked like she was going to go into labour any minute. I believe she actually gave birth a few days later. I recall that Eddie Izzard turned up on occasion as well. Drew Carey came on a bit, especially after he got the gig hosting "The Price is Right". It was interesting when he and Craig switched places on April Fools' Day once. There were so many great shows (despite Craig sometimes calling it crap), it would take forever for me to talk about them all here. That's how much I liked his show.
bluebear1985 the thing about Craig's show was that it wasn't even the guests who made it. He was amazing and completely entertaining all by himself.
I love Seth Meyers. I mean. I don't watch his show's other than now and again on UA-cam, however he's such a good guy and great at his job and humble. Bloody deserves it. But yeah.. I'm here for Craig Ferguson!
Totally dig this segment!
More of this please - this is a great segment for people who dig the inside baseball stuff
I love the Craigy Ferg.
lmao Craig. I miss his show :(
seth definitely improved since he started. he now manages to keep the conversation going and avoiding as many awkward pauses as possible.
***** he just talked to people, he didnt have a technique or something planned and he is more awesome for it.
+holaquetal1918 ironically, the intentional awkward pause was a Craig Ferguson speciality :)
Tor Iver Wilhelmsen ya beat me to it. He made it work for him XD
And yet Craig could even make an awkward pause entertaining.
You are too humble Craigy ♥️
Love these two. I really miss Craig :'(
Craig took some time off from solving crimes with Geoff and went to see Seth Meyers.
+Maggi Rodriguez GP and the Fergs!!! :D
Mag Rod "walking the earth"
@@TassieLorenzo ppl
best interview.. ever. :D
His last 3 years were amazing. Over the top goofyness.
Hieillua ikr it makes me sad when he talks about it like he regrets it.
Well he did 10 years so hopefully a few years to reflect will make him come back to late night.
I miss him!!!
lmao 'share the potato of love' and 'cataclysmic asshole'.
That was some interesting insight. Too bad they can't just name people specifically for once.
share the potato of love. Gold. Absolute gold.
and Craig is the best host/tv dude ever. bar none.
I think seth is the best late night host at the moment.
Great
Two great comics and they work well together. Well thought out marketing idea btw.
The problem with Seth is you feel like most of what he says is carefully scripted and rehearsed, while Craig is the exact opposite and that is part of what makes him much better at interviewing.
I also think what Craig did is really hard to do and Seth doesn't have the same protection Craig had. Craig has remarked how Letterman owned his time slot and basically made CBS leave Craig alone whereas Seth doesn't have that option. Plus improvising a show every night is really hard and really risky, networks don't want risk and while Seth is talented he's not quite as good as Craig improvising. Early Craig Ferguson shows were good but they weren't great because he was more scripted, which didn't play to his strengths.
I miss Craige Ferguson.
RIp Craig, we willmiss u
share the potato of love hahha
I really like Seth, I think he is genuinely a very kind guy (and it seems Craig does too), and I like that he tries to have real conversations with his guests... But his show is just so bad, it's painful to watch sometimes.
I disagree with Craig on one thing. His last year it was obvious he wasn't as engaging as he was prior but 2012 and most of 2013 he was still spectacular.
True...but you could feel he had little interest in the conversations he had to do with the shallow actrices...who all thought they could flirt with him.
I miss Craig!
Balls
+Open the Light AUA oh myyyy!
Open the Light AUA I instinctively hear it in Geoffs voice...
What the hell?
Anyone know the song playing at the end of the video?
I find it rather bizarre and disturbing that Craig still doesn't understand how good he was, how amazing the show was because of him call Mom and how intensely missed and loved he is! He doesn't seem to get it and I don't understand how. He still is and probably always will be one of the most confident, witty, charismatic, and unique talk show host, night or day, that the world has ever seen! And he got even better, I didn't think it was possible, the last few years, the time frame he's saying here, that he thinks he overdid it. Couldn't be more opposite than the truth. It's just weird he is that detached from reality in regards to that gig
These segments are super fun, I do wish the guest would ask more questions and not Seth. With Seth doing all the questioning it just seems like an extension of the interview. But really good anyway. #LNSM
CF was the best
Tootsie fruits 😊
I miss Craig
craiggy ferg is still one of the best. :)
Gosh, I miss Craig's show....
It's a good day for America.
brandon lindsey but not a great day cause Craig's not doing the LLS any more?
its sad (for us who liked his show so much) that he lost his passion about doing it and would not even consider doing it again.
yes it is very sad
Craig Ferguson: How It went aka (kitten playing bagpipes while wearing a kilt) What Did We Learn On The Show Tonight Craig (I hate him)
more guests like that seth , LESS SNL !
Craig's best guest is Alice Eve, they have a great time together.
The guy he was thinking of - John Stamos.
Hmm, how sure are you?
+MaritimeWolf I think you're right
+MaritimeWolf I remember there was some tension between the two.
Help me a bit here. Corden substitutes CF, right? What about the others? Correct me on the following, Fallon => Leno? Meyers => Letterman? Conan still in the air? I'm not in US....
+creatip123 Meyers -> Fallon; Fallon -> Leno; Colbert -> Letterman; Corden -> Ferguson
Conan is on cable. Good show mind you! :)
TassieLorenzo Wait, Fallon off the air already? He's not the best, but definitely better than Leno :) But yeah, Meyers is better than Fallon imo.
Thanx for the answer btw....
creatip123 No, Fallon is on air, he hosts the Tonight show. I meant Fallon replaced Leno, hence Fallon -> Leno. :) Leno retired --- finally!!
TassieLorenzo Oh, I read Meyers -> Fallon, so I thought Fallon went off air, replaced by Meyers...
Meyers did replace Fallon on Late Night. But Fallon was promoted to the Tonight show, 1 hour earlier.
Craig is the S### :)
lol it's defiantly Russell Brands, no doubt!
maybe not, i don't know.
He had an absolute blast with Russell...they had great fun!
Could anybody guess who that one rude guest Craig was referring to was?
Shiny Heart I’m going to guess Larry David. He appeared one time on his show and at the end Craig basically cut the interview short.
Chevy Chase or Mark Wahlberg
@@Snaakie83 vince vaughn
Seems like an interview after the interview, bit weird.
one ding we are ????

+danbie86 Two dings, we are?????
+TassieLorenzo we are still German!
danbie86 Three dings, we are??????? :D
Dracula...!
*ding ding ding ding*
Four dings?
"Ach, laddie, in my day we just tried to do a funny, entertaining show. Now you've got the thing all bollixed up with left-wing agitprop. You might as well just read 'em the Daily Worker."
Love to see Craig again. :D
...But it bugs me they can say "dick" multiple times but "fucking ashole" gets bleeped out.. 'Murican TV, please stop that useless censorship >_
The neighborly minute subcellularly reach because august systemically milk out a lacking prosecution. adaptable, nonstop shield
It was Chevy chase. That's why he name dropped him
In today's metoo environment, Craig would be eaten alive by the Amber Heards and Rose Byrnes. I'm of the belief he left not a moment too soon. Who's to say there wasn't attempts to bring him down before he decided to up and leave?
Seth is a pale copy of Craig. And dishonest one as well.
