How to fix a zipper on jackets (no sewing)

This video is about how to fix a jacket zipper by replacing the zipper slider.
I show how to replace the slider on a metal zipper and on a molded plastic zipper.
If you need to fix a coil zipper, the steps to follow are the same.
This fix works for separating zippers.

Are the sliders for continuous and finishing zippers interchangeable? I am trying to rescue a jacket by taking the slider from a pocket and using it for the main zipper of the same size.

Both sliders will fit and close the teeth if they are the right size. But the sliders for continuous zippers don't lock in place and are very easy to open.

if your zipper is detached just cut the top of the zipline then take in the zipper, after that sew the top back to normal

not helped me at all this turorial what about a stuck zip thats jammed at the top of a coat how do I slide it down nothing has broken the zipper slot holder is still there but my zip went up and has stayed there so I can't zip coat up proerply now how long before you answer these messages?
