What are y’all’s fav. strings to use on the GS minis? (strings & gauge). Also, any suggestions if the mini will be tuned 1/2 step down permanently? Thanks!
So they come with D'addario XS 13-53 but me (Keiran) personally like the 11 XS strings on mine. Although if you are going down a half step, I'd say stick to the 13's or go down to 12 if you want it a little thinner. The XS strings they come with as standard are great too bc of the long life nature of them
Got mine in Guitar Guitar Epsom. Straight out the box the 13 gauge strings were a real struggle and the action still a bit high. But once Alex, the store tech, had got lighter strings on and set the action down it played great. Well done. 🙋♂️👍🇬🇧
why are the new mini's laden with this big ugly electric box on the side, the small controls were totally better and the three knob system on the top looks the best, what happened???

I have GS mini koa, GS mini bass. WE NEED GS MINI WITH CUTAWAY
The gs mini is absolutely brilliant guitar, I own 2 and they are my go to guitar every time
That guitar sounds real nice, bit of a deeper tone but bright enough as well!!

This model sounds better to me than the Koa and mahogany models. Plus it is beautiful with the burst finish.
I had to tuned down by 1/2 mine. The strings that came with it (Elixir medium) felt too hard (and painful to play) when tuned correctly.
