Hi Grace! You have a nice pattern collection there. You're going to have a lot of fun sewing them up. You know what? I remember those 60's fashions. They were fun!! Happy Sewing!
Thanks for sharing your pattern haul, nothing better than seeing different patterns and the line drawings make me so happy, am I strange?! The peach top you are wearing is just adorable on you, well done 🧡. That must have been so much fun having a craft session at your house, those little trees are so cute 👏🏼🎄. Have a super weekend and thanks for your video ❤xx
Carole, you're definitely NOT strange.🤣 Patterns are the BEST! They are such a joy to look at, collect, cut out and create from. The Simplicity blouse has so many nice details. Great to wear all year round. My girlfriends and I meet monthly for lunch and they all live in my neighborhood. This was the first time we had a craft session in my sewing room. None of them sew but they want to do more crafts. I hope to do more in 2024. Maybe I can do a sewing project. Who knows? I'll have to figure out a simple project. Thanks for watching. Have a great week! 🥰♥♥♥
I hate to say this, but I remember your vintage pattern, S9845, when it was new and I did make that and wore it in the 60's. Yes, I'm old, but I do remember wearing that dress. I made it in a black, gray and white print. I loved that dress. ❤
Maureen, I would have loved to see that original make on you! How exciting. I'm sure it was amazing. If you loved it, then I'm sure I will too. What do you think of that puckered knit? Do you think it would work? I'm still debating.🥰
Wow, I LOVE the blouse you are wearing, it’s the perfect fabric for this top👏👏👏. I really like all the patterns that you got. I didn’t buy anything last week, this year I resisted the Black Friday sales 😉😉. The foam Christmas tree is so pretty, such a great idea for crafting for the Holidays. Thank you for sharing your week with us. 💞💞💞💞
Thank you Karen, I'm really happy with the blouse. I get it about resisting the sales. It's always a dilemma! Should I or shouldn't I?? 🤣🤣 I'm glad you enjoyed the Christmas tree. It's so easy to make and you can get most of your supplies from the Dollar Tree! Have a great weekend! ❤❤❤❤❤
Great patterns- especially the vintage picks! I think that puckered fabric would be perfect for it! I love the idea of the go go boots, but I’m definitely not brave enough to go for it. I think you could pull it off if anyone could! Thanks for sharing Grace!
Thank you Diane! I miss you and am thinking of you during the holidays. I hope things are going well with you. Let me know when you have a chance to chat! 💖💖🥰🥰😘
Thank you Karon! You would love that blouse. I'm sure yours would come out AMAZING!!! I'm glad you enjoyed the haul. More to come. I forgot to mention in my video that my 1 year anniversary on UA-cam will be on Tuesday. I plan to upload a video. I hope you tune in! Have a great weekend! 🥰♥
It is my pleasure to support your channel. I enjoy your videos. I believe we all help each other in the sewing community more than we know. So much to learn. I will tune in... enjoy your weekend!
Girl, you can wear anything! That top looks amazing on you! I love the view of the fireplace. You were in the 30s today! I can't believe it, but we are going to be in the 50° today, but tomorrow it will be back in the 30s, which is the normal until March now!😅
Thank you Zelda. I fell in love with that fabric from Joann's and thought it would be perfect for the blouse! I love that blouse because you and wear it all year round. Even on Easter. Yes, it dropped down to freezing overnight. There was frost on the grass! Insane. Too early for where I live. Usually it gets in the 30s in late December and January. We have very short winters (and absolutely no snow) here in central Florida. Then back up into the 60s and 70s in February!! I forgot to mention in my video that my 1 year anniversary on UA-cam will be on Tuesday. I plan to upload a video. I hope you get a chance to tune in. Have a great weekend! ❤❤🥰🥰
Grace, the blouse is beautiful! I have the pattern and will shop my stash and make it up. My dear, you have inspired me yes you have. I loved all the patterns and fabric pairings.
Hi Mary, I'm glad you like the blouse. It has a lot of detail and that makes it so unique and beautiful. I needed to mention in my video that my 1 year anniversary on UA-cam will be on Tuesday. I plan to upload a video. Thank you Mary for being one of my first subscribers and for commenting on my very first video! You've always been there. 💖💖💖♥♥♥
Oh Grace! It was COLD there! But, your fireplace sure looked cozy! Your blouse is beautiful. I love the neckline. I have that pattern… I haven’t made it yet… but now I really want too. Thanks for the details! Great patterns from your haul. Thank you for sharing with us! ❤
Awww! Thank you Brenda! Have a great weekend! Also, I forgot to mention, my 1 year anniversary on UA-cam will be Tuesday and I'll be putting out a video. Please look for it! 🥰
Your blouse looks like molten liquid. Just stunning. You are beautiful in it. Your little party looked like so much fun. It’s nice to have a group of friends close by to enjoy crafting with.
Thank you Susan. ♥ That fabric is a real head-turner. I had to get it! All my girlfriends live on my cul-de-sac! We go to lunch monthly. This was the first time we did a craft together in my sewing room. I plan to do more in 2024! Have a great week!🥰
You picked up some great patterns today also. I like simplicity 8421. I like that type pattern. I remember making ties years ago and it took a while for me to make them. I hope it is easier for you.
Thanks Zelda, S8421 looks like an easy peasy skirt with the lace overlay and elastic waist. I hope to make it in 2024. I have not looked at the tie instructions. But they look like they would be easy. i'll let you know! LOL !!!! 🤣🤣
You've made me interested in getting a couple of those vintage 1960s patterns. And I want to see if I can find that skirt with the side peplums! Your top looks so professional! One would never guess that it is handmade! Very nice sewing! I want to try that one now, too!
Thank you Tammy! It's a great blouse with a lot of detail. I really appreciate that. S1697 skirt is really tough pattern to find. I found a size 16 on eBay. I hope you find it. The 1960s patterns look like fun! 2 of them are Jiffys so I thought, wow! why not!!! I forgot to mention in my video that Tuesday will be my 1 year anniversary on UA-cam and I plan to upload a video. I hope you check it out. Thank you Tammy for being there from the beginning and commenting on my very first video. I truly appreciate that. Have a great weekend! 🥰❤❤❤

Wow I may need the robes pattern to experiment. I love the blouse it fits you great. You went to an Auction without meeeeee? I cant wait to see what goodies you got.
That is definitely a "wow" fabric and the shirt is gorgeous on you! You had a great pattern haul, too! Lots of fun things to sew up with pretty fabrics! Those pajama patterns look like a lot of fun! Christmas is a time for pajamas! :D
Thanks Lara. I love my blouse. Great for any time of the year really. And yes, Christmas and pajamas, they go together like, cliche drumroll 🥁🥁🥁......peanut butter and jelly! LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Also, I forgot to mention in my video that my 1 year anniversary on UA-cam will be on Tuesday. I plan to upload a video. I hope you tune in. Thanks for your friendship and support. ❤❤❤

Have a great weekend and I look forward to your Vlogmas videos. Take care and no pressure on yourself. 🥰🥰♥
I hope you make the ostrich dress, it would be really interesting to see the construction. I was looking at it with curiosity. I went to Joanns today, Know Me, McCalls, and Butterick is all 1.99, and Burda is 2.99! My Joanns is tough, too, I was able to get half the patterns on my list (not to worry, I plan for this with backups!) but I couldn't get my favorites. There are quite a few I haven't been able to get for months. I have been picking up interesting patterns that have accessories with the pattern (I give you credit for this idea from back along, when a purse or tote back came with a dress I think?, maybe it was a hat?). If you look, even slippers come with pajamas! You can get bras or bralettes with summer wear or robes. Your top is gorgeous! Adding to my wishlist! I have just the fabric for it already, a cheetah print I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby.
Hi Sirena, that ostrich dress gives me Austin Powers vibes! Yes, that would be fun. Such a work of art and glamorous baby doll iconic dress of the 60s. Lots of FUN! I would probably make it for the experience. Not sure where I could wear it in all practicality. I love patterns that come with extras too. They seem more rare nowadays and more common back in the 60s and 70s. I try to pick them up when I can. You have to try the 9706 top. It has a lot of detail. I think I have the same silky cheetah print too that you got from HL. Also, I forgot to mention in my video, my 1 year anniversary on UA-cam will be Tuesday and I'll be putting out a video. I hope you check it out. Thank you for being there from the beginning! ❤❤❤❤
Hi Grace, I think that blouse pattern is great. It looks very nice on you. I don't remember seeing it in the book. I will have to get it. How fun to have ladies right in your neighborhood that enjoy getting together. I wish I had friends within walking distance. Quick "pop in" visits would be fun. Many blessings!
Thanks Cherrie! Definitely pick up that blouse pattern. I also want to make the sleeveless one with a similar fabric. My friends ALL live on my cul-de-sac. Incredible. They can walk to my house in 2 minutes. None of them sew but they love crafts. It's great fun. Thanks for watching!
I love this top Grace. The style and fabric are perfect for the holidays, and it pairs nicely with your shimmery boots. As always, you are so talented and I can’t wait to see your next sew. The November ladies luncheon/craft party was a lot of fun.
