SO HAPPY to see your new home coming together! I truly wish you peace & comfort here! I was so sad & angry when you were basically forced from your home or your lifestyle but I have cheered you both for making the choices you did! You have grown & fought for your choices! Hats off to you both! I believe you will love this new home more because it truly is a great accomplishment for all. ENJOY!
All I wanted was a good recipe for pressure canning some beef, now here I am rooting you guys on.... to finally finish your dream home. I hope your old neighbors are watching! ✌
Caught a glimpse of your fabulous view from the windows. It is going to be an impressive home that the whole family will enjoy. You all must be so proud.
So very pleased for you! You are now officially a GC Sub out everything you can financially justify, it will pay dividends in the end you'll be fresh for all the finish work.. Accolades only!
I can’t believe how quickly your contractors are getting things done. Glad there were no hold ups with Covid-19. Looking forward to seeing the next video.
OMGoodness, it's exciting to see your new home coming together, project by project. Do you have an anticipated completion date? You must be so happy to being closer and closer to having your dream/forever home! The design demonstrates all the thought you've put into having a functional/beautiful home that maximizes the awe-inspiring views! Look forward to each new video! 👍👊👏❤️️😍
Great progress! Looked like the team you had doing your plumbing knew exactly what to do and worked well together. That's really good to see. Soon you'll be able to finish the exterior. Just a few more tedious tasks to accomplish and you'll be there. You're managing this project very well for not having been a project manager before. As a retired PM I must say I am impressed. Great job so far!
Consider adding water hammer arresters at your wash and shower connections, while you are open. Also consider insulating your water supply piping, at least hot water, while you can still get at it.
It is always neat to see how other states do plumbing. Each town seems to have their own different inspectors wanting certain things. I had one inspector reject the plumbing if the writing on the pipe was in the cement joint. Some would walk onto the porch and say "Looks like a ranch house" and leave. We have had to fill through the roof before and we have had to fill the tub up for the requirement. I usually wasn't able to get in until electrical and HVAC is done, so I am envious of your plumbers. :) Keep up the good work!
Been watching all these house progress videos over the past couple weeks, now I'm caught up to you guys. I love these videos, very cool to see how a house is built.
Great post 👍 really Happy for you to finally have this house just flying up. Good things come to the one's that wait . apparently your doing an awesome job as the general contractor 👍😀 thanks for sharing !!! Stay safe and happy!!! 😷😷😷😷🤜🤛 🇨🇦 Craig
I really love how it is coming together. We are trying to sell our Off Grid home now in Colorado so we can move back and start building on family land. Love these videos and we wish you the very best.
Howdy Guildbrooksters .... thinks are progressing nicely. Interesting that you are still able to get plumbers and such to do work on your home .... Pa is pretty much shut down on that kind of stuff. Best of luck ... take care.
A hint: get some red & blue colored electrical tape and mark the cold & hot supply lines every 1 -2 ft. Right now you know which is which but later on down the road when you might need to make repairs you won't.
A better tip, when running lines, cut your hot at an angle while running, then cut straight when crimping.. down the road the hot line will be the Shiney one ( if copper ) or the off colour one if pex... at a glance ;) also very easy to add some dash marks with a sharpie to the hot ( or red / blue )
Now I’m wishing you had a ‘crows nest lookout’ on your roof. All bc the inspector likes tests all the way to the roof. Having a mini patio on the roof would have been a fun novelty to enjoy.
My eyes my eyes those white legs so glad pluming is in i loveddddd the really neat job they did on it all man if only it could have been done in the time it took when you sped up the video because it must have taken a long long time but you can tell the guys know their stuff and i was surprised to see some windows in. now i hope the electrons are as neat as the plumers were at the end of each project do you both sit down and just take a big breath and mark another one off the master list i think you guys do sooooooooo very close i am truly excited for you********** ::::::::::
Really making progress, so far it looks like you managed to get some good subs to move things along nicely. Think the heavy lifting is done, just electrical, windows, siding, insulation and siding and you will be almost ready to move in. Suggest you look into the Fiber Cement siding by Hardie and others. Looks nice, fire proof, water proof, insect proof and takes paint really well. How did the quality of the well water turn out?
Great Progress. You briefly touched on the HVAC topic which I was thinking about asking about as I was watching this video. Are you or have you already researched different options; and can you tell us which solution you are going to use in the home.
Silicone or t tape us cheaper and more effective, wax was the way back in the cast iron days though, as the wax prevented the threads from rusting together
Yay! Cool beans on the plumbing. I must have missed the completed roof?? Wanted to see it all done :P Good thing it was just wind for this one. Let's hope the rain holds off until the windows & doors are done!!!!
The progress on your house is great . But as a homesteader I wonder when you’re going to get back to working on it yourself? I see a lot of subs doing everything.
Another great video!!!! So exciting!!! Have you thought about some hydraulic arm thingies to raise up the pump house roof? Then it could be raised on hinges easily. Easy up like a rear window. Thanks for your channel. Michele
Great progress. 👍🏽 12:30: istn’t the clean out facing the wrong way ? We don’t typically fit that here in Europe so Iwas trying to figure out how that is useful in case of emergency.
Looks like it's done correctly to me, the clean out will be cut off flush with grade and a mechanical cap installed. Then they will slide the lower cap off (doent look glued, its probably just dry fitted so doesn't fill with dirt) and they will couple onto that and run it to the septic system. If the sewer ever plugged they could remove the mechanical cap and clean out the sewer without stepping foot inside the house.
Looking good! Thanks for taking us along! Question: Any outside faucets at all in the plan? On the porch or freeze proof by the Pump House or outside landscape? Just wondering
Almost dried in, once electrical n HVAC ducts n copper sets plus tstat wires are in, along with kitchen/bathroom vents and wall insulation, we are ready for sheet rock very soon, don’t think I remember any propane gas lines? But it’s coming along really great! Drop ceilings suck think you should consider bead board panels instead.
what is the approx cost for the whole build? I'm currently designing a 27x30" in CAD, just for fun but it's a very similar situation, an LVL beam/standard joists, two story with half second floor vaulted etc. Maybe send answer by e-mail? LMK.
Testing vents has been part of most codes for decades. My local guys want air tests, and they are really no big deal. Can't really claim that something doesn't have to be done, if it's the guy's job.
D-Ring mounting brackets on the well roof section would give chain/strap lift points for when you have equipment like that mini excavator. sub 500lbs so don't even need strong ones just the simple 2 hole $2 bracket on ether side of the ridge should do screwed right to the wood.
It is good to see your progress. I am glad you are not locked down.

Y’all are coming right along!! I’m so glad! Y’all have had rough and disappointing few years. You deserve to just “breathe”.
Caught a glimpse of your fabulous view from the windows. It is going to be an impressive home that the whole family will enjoy. You all must be so proud.
Thank you so much for giving me something to concentrate on besides doom and gloom. So glad you are progressing with your house.
I like your workers. They sure hustle in doing the jobs. Enjoying the video Jeremy!
So very pleased for you!

Love seeing the house coming together step by step. 🥰👍🏠
Exciting stuff!!! Glad you guys can still make progress thru this virus.
Lovely, and so glad you are able to be keeping on with this build these days!
Yet another task done....getting closer...thanks for the post...
My favorite part of this video, was the brief look at the mountains from the Loft area. Million dollar view.
Every little bit gets you closer to being in your house. I bet the whole family is very anxious for that.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
I can’t believe how quickly your contractors are getting things done. Glad there were no hold ups with Covid-19. Looking forward to seeing the next video.
Once again I’m sucked into watching the house build! Love your videos! My favorite homestead reality show! Thank you.
Been watching this channel for a long time. One of the inspirational channels that helped us make the jump out of the city. :)
I know y'all are getting excited to get into your new home. Good to see things are being done correctly, so you'll have no issues.
I am so happy for you and your family. You have been at this project for a long time now. Great job!

You’ll be in in no time.
Consider adding water hammer arresters at your wash and shower connections, while you are open.
Also consider insulating your water supply piping, at least hot water, while you can still get at it.
The house is really coming together so quickly, it's going to be great to see you living there, good luck with the inspection, stay safe and well.
It is always neat to see how other states do plumbing. Each town seems to have their own different inspectors wanting certain things. Love the excitement in your voice, Jeremy! So happy for you guys!
mad respect to those that are in the trade field
Loving this series, thanks
Have I told you guys lately how cool you are? 👌😎
I bet you can't wait to move in! Stuff is moving right along now. How is that garden doing?
Good to hear that you were able to get the windows and doors! The house looks amazing!
Amazing tradesmen! The leader, and the crew who anticipate and apply their knowledge. A pleasure to watch!
It will be nice when you move in.
I like it when everything works out.
See you got several of the windows installed.. am sure that shell is getting quieter by the day
I've been binge watching for over a week, I finally caught up.
Our washer is set up exactly the same way for the same reason!! It's all good.
another great vid. Thanks for the distraction. be safe
Wow running water and plumbing and a real nice roof. Your getting there now. You got those guys getting after it.
What was with that one guy in the white shorts and sneakers? Was that some sort of initiation hazing, or did he lose a bet, or what? 🤔😄😄😄🤷
This is really Fast! Great job👍💕
That's funny I was just thinking I haven't seen a post from you guys in a little while was wondering if everything was okay.😊😊
All good..🙂🙂
Kubota! such a fun word. Looking good!
Don't forget a drain line/drain pan set-up for your washing machine> Easy to do now.
I really love how it is coming together. We are trying to sell our Off Grid home now in Colorado so we can move back and start building on family land. Love these videos and we wish you the very best.
Hey y'all have windows!!! Awesome work!!! TY
Keep the good stuff coming thanks
Great! So much progress!
Howdy Guildbrooksters .... thinks are progressing nicely. Interesting that you are still able to get plumbers and such to do work on your home .... Pa is pretty much shut down on that kind of stuff. Best of luck ... take care.
Thanks for explaining the steps so clearly and logically
Great progress.
Soon you'll be able to move in, Jamie and Jeremy
Looking good guys glad this is working out for yall God bless.

@mimi so very true
Take pics of open wall rough ins with measurements
@@gregoryraven3213 I think they have video of it,

I'm curious how you're going to vent your kitchen sink? Thanks!
Depending on state allowances a air admittance valve can sometimes be used ( not as good as actual fent though )
Looks great 👍
Yay Backfill!!!! I have been waiting for months for that day.
Now I’m wishing you had a ‘crows nest lookout’ on your roof. All bc the inspector likes tests all the way to the roof. Having a mini patio on the roof would have been a fun novelty to enjoy.
I put test tees ( use the clean out fitting) 2' below the roof. Then I can test from the ground to the roof.

Those guts were flying...👍
Great Progress. You briefly touched on the HVAC topic which I was thinking about asking about as I was watching this video. Are you or have you already researched different options; and can you tell us which solution you are going to use in the home.
On the clean out plugs, use a bowl wax to seal the threads on the plugs. ( just work it into the threads) .
Silicone or t tape us cheaper and more effective, wax was the way back in the cast iron days though, as the wax prevented the threads from rusting together
Nice work guys
Yay! Cool beans on the plumbing. I must have missed the completed roof?? Wanted to see it all done :P Good thing it was just wind for this one. Let's hope the rain holds off until the windows & doors are done!!!!
Roof was completed in the previous video :)
Any reason you went with PVC instead of ABS? Just curious, I have always seen the drain side of plumbing done with ABS. :)
It depends on your city ,even in parts of southern California they are accepting of pvc. Back east they been using pvc for some time.
Western Kentucky is all sch. 40 PVC. Lowe's & Ferguson don't even sell ABS.
Thanks for your informative video.
Nice video, thanks for sharing
The progress on your house is great . But as a homesteader I wonder when you’re going to get back to working on it yourself? I see a lot of subs doing everything.
Did it pass inspection? With that vent tide it up to the drain
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed that 🤣
Going to have pressure issue using so much half inch lines.
Another great video!!!! So exciting!!! Have you thought about some hydraulic arm thingies to raise up the pump house roof? Then it could be raised on hinges easily. Easy up like a rear window. Thanks for your channel. Michele
Homer moment when they pulled out the hammer drill for the floor of the pump house DOH!
Great video thanks
Short pants and all bundled up in his hoodie, like he's freezing. Looks like someone needs logical thinking explained to them. LOL =0)

So exciting! What no bath tub anywhere? How is a prepper going to be able to fill a tub with emergency water without a bath tub? 😜
I hate tubs.
🤯
They’re sure great when you’re injured. Epsom salt and baking soda soak sure helps- sprain , strain, bruising , itching and just plain aches...
Solar and their own well. You expecting the sun to go out?
Guildbrook Farm - Simple Sustainable Living We are not putting any tubs in the house we are building either.
You start out showing a vent gong into a drain upstairs. What code is that allowed in ??
Lol that’s right I came to the comments hoping to find the answer to that
Looking good! Thanks for taking us along! Question: Any outside faucets at all in the plan? On the porch or freeze proof by the Pump House or outside landscape? Just wondering
What is a master carpenter?
This is actually comical to see 4 guys "plumbing" in a single bathroom.
My exact same thought
For real four dudes gang banging one bathroom my boss would lose his mind
Plumbers! Oh yeah. Those are the guys that will cut through or eliminate critically important structural members because "that was in the way."
Pretty sure you mean electricians and HVAC guys. We just show off our butt cracks. :)
@@ericthomas2621 Well played sir!

So I suppose you’re not actual rough in plumbers but you did what you could. Just enough to have some plumbing in your new home.
Instead of testing with water, just rig up a iron gauge with a fernco attachment to attach to abs pipe and cap off all ends, way quicker and easier
Exactly
That red caulking around the floor and ceiling plumbing penetrations should be CP-25 fire caulking manufactured by 3M.

Nice job, dislike inspectors that step beyond their job descriptions, no way a vent has to be pressure tested. The inspector is just a Goof!
Testing vents has been part of most codes for decades. My local guys want air tests, and they are really no big deal. Can't really claim that something doesn't have to be done, if it's the guy's job.

Did you already added the septic tank? I may have missed that video 🤔. BTW love y’all
Still recommend backfilling with sand to reduce the hydrostatic pressure with rain events and eliminate any leaks into your basement.
3:13 little glue on the outside never hurt nobody aha weve all done it for whatever reason
No Vanity in the first floor bath?
At 5:43 isnt that 2" drilled to low on the floor joist. In my state, you have to be atleast 2" from the bottom of the joist...
Yes. We plated it.
