I am incredibly excited to share with you this collaboration with Kathryn Morgan of "Once Upon a December," music that we both love. Kathryn was super kind and asked me if I wanted to work together on a video project, and I gladly and absolutely said yes! This video is the culmination of work on both of our ends since October. She choreographed a beautiful routine to my new arrangement, and if you want to see even more of it, you should visit her channel and watch her video of this! We edited two slightly different cuts, so when you visit, you can see a whole bunch of extra footage from her! Her links are the first ones above!
Thanks, Kathryn! It was such fun collaborating together! Good luck with the rest of your season, and I'm totes looking forward to doing this again sometime!
@@leif1075 no problem!! I have a few originals I’ve done over the last few months. I have a playlist on my channel page that has all of them… you might have to scroll a bit down, but it’s on there! I also have 4 new originals coming out early in 2022!
Congratulations on a beautiful arrangement, Charles! Your playing is very sensitive, introspective, and romantic. You and Kathryn work together so well artistically. I really appreciate seeing both your cuts of the video. Bravo and please keep on with your wonderful music!
This was absolutely beautiful. Love what you two put together here. You have a new fan in me, Charles. Can't wait to see more of your collaborations with Kathryn!
ENGLISH: Excellent, really beautiful music, this video was very emotional. Listening to a very sweet melody combined with the wonderful images of the beautiful dancer touched my soul and brought tears to my eyes. Congratulations to the pianist and the dancer, both very good.
I play this, is very beautiful, and thanks for this arangement. I am 13 years old and i love playing this. I had a concert and i played this, like a story or a fantasy... Thank you again.❤
Your arrangement and performance of this lovely waltz is absolutely stunning - and you, together with Kathryn Morgan , have created a magical fairytale experience!🌹🎹🧡
@@CharlesSzczepanek I'm starting to understand the appeal of digital, cause the recording is ALWAYS clean. Do you find you have to voice differently on a digital, due to its lightness/(lack of) sensitivity?
@@WSJade definitely, and also it changes depending on which VST I’m using. The consistency and perfection is nice, yes. But whenever I play a digital, I always miss the things you can do with an acoustic that don’t work on a digital: flutter pedal or half pedal, how you can attack during a pedal hold for different colors, overall lack of ability to change character. Even the digital that claim to do half pedaling, they do something close but don’t do it right. Especially when I come back to playing a digital after mostly an acoustic, this stuff is super obvious.
Hi, Charles your work is incredible and I love listening to your arrangements! Maybe you don't remember but last winter asked if you could do an arrangement/improvisation on "in the bleak midwinter" by Gustav Holst. I would be so happy if you found the time for it this winter :) Thank you for putting out this high quality content for free :)
Now that you mention it I remember! I had forgotten, so sorry! It’s such a good piece of music! I’d love to do justice but I only have one more Christmas video coming out this year! I’ll have to see if I can squeeze in an improv on it before the holiday is over… let me see what I can do!
Thanks!! I was thinking about doing Natasha's Lullaby from Black Widow... I'll have to listen to the Red Rising Theme to refresh how that one goes. I ended up deciding against it because the original soundtrack wasn't getting played all that much online, so I didn't think it boded well for views!
