I would caution anyone looking at Fierce to research further. Look for other reviews, videos, shooting forums etc. A lot of consensus that “old” Fierce barrels that were manufactured in Canada were superior to the current production in the states. Most importantly, I would research their customer support reviews. Even write them and I think you will learn enough to make an educated decision.

My 7mm was built in canada. Its a tack driver. Love it. Do you happen to know who was building them in canada?

Since Fierce and Christensen Arms are production quasi-custom rifles, why not trick out a Tikka as cheap as you can and compare those? I took a new stainless T3x, bought a Stocky's stock and pre-fit Proof 24" 8 twist barrel chambered in 7PRC by Proof barrels and an $8 trigger spring. Total cost including paying the rifle builder to swap barrels was just over $1900. With that cost you're now equal to or likely still cheaper than a Fierce. I think the Carbon Rogues are going for $1899 right now.
My Tikka shoots factory Hornady Outfitter 160 gr CX ammo at 1/2" three times now with 3 shots each. I did forget to clock it yesterday so I'll have to retest next weekend but I'm glad it shoots that ammo that well. I got 3 cases of it for 50 cents on the dollar delivered.

I bought a Tikka CTR Stainless in 6.5 Creedmoor and only changed the trigger spring. It averages around 0.5 MOA (for 5-shot groups) with just about everything I've tried in it. It cost around $1,050 (including taxes). I may upgrade the stock at some point to a KRG Bravo or similar but that would make the total cost of the gun only ~$1,450 (and isn't really necessary tbh). Unfortunately, thanks to inflation, this version of the CTR is ~$1,250 now. That said, you can get the blued version for around $1,150. The CTRs are great because they have a heavier barrel profile than a standard T3X and they come with scope bases which saves you the cost of buying one separately. This a really overlooked rifle IMHO.

One reason why not, is because factory rifles maintain better value and easier resaleability, aka make better investments.
After you have a few guns in the collection, things like that become more important than before.
You can only shoot one gun at a time. So buying lots of them make you a collector, and collectors care about value and timelessness of their collection more than saving some pennies

I had a B-14 HMR in 308. It was easily the worst shooting rifle I've ever owned. I sent it back to Bergara twice to get it looked at and they never did fix it. The 2nd time they sent it back it had rust all over the bolt and inside the barrel. I sold that hunk of junk and will never own another Bergara again.

You should have just returned it to Bergara. They have a satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy with it they will buy it back for what you paid for it.
Had a friend that bought a Wilderness HMR that would not shoot better than 1.5 MOA With any kind of ammo. They eventually bought it back.
Bergara is hit and miss, pardon the pun. Usually you get a good one but sometimes you don't.

@@biggs8729 I asked Bergara for a refund after they returned the gun the 2nd time and it still shot like crap (and they rusted the sh*t out of the rifle) but they refused to do it. I'm glad your friend got his money back but Bergara doesn't have a "satisfaction guarantee" (At least not currently...Maybe there was before...I have no idea) only a guarantee that 2 of 3 3-shot groups will be under 1 MOA with premium factory ammo (which basically any Wally World hunting rifle can do). Yeah, I was getting similar groups with mine. Most ammo was ~1.5-2.5 MOA for 5-shot groups. With the best handload I was able to work up for it I got ~1.1-1.2 MOA 5-shot groups on average. I've never had a gun shoot so poorly with handloads.
