Hello my crochet friends! I hope you have enjoyed this Surprise coaster set! I also have the written pattern on ETSY, here's the link: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1440639471/surprise-flower-pot-coaster-set-crochet
Saw someone make this on TikTok who directed me here. I watched your tutorial and purchased the pattern. I can’t wait to make this for gifts. Thank you ❤
Loooove this! As everyone else has said, I’ll also be making several for gifts! Can I ask if you can give a rough measurement for the yellow part of the coaster and for the base of the basket? I have to use different yarn and want to make sure the basket is the proper size for the coasters. Thank you!!!!
What an inspired gift. I can see this as a gift for new bride , house warming, first apartment, college dorm, etc. Then, of course, birthdays and Christmas. This just has so much potential for gift giving. I am 59. All of my relatives, friends, etc drink tea and or coffee. Even the younger coworkers with their fizzy pop would love theses adorable coasters. Thank you for sharing. This is a gift from you to me.🎁
I just saw your tik tok, sent it to my grandma and she asked me for a tutorial. Found your UA-cam video and she's making it for me today!!!! Thank you so much
I’m making a set for an elderly neighbor lady whom I help out. She loves flowers 💐🌷🪻🪷🌹🌸🌼and she’ll love this adorable crochet set! Perfect Valentines Day gift for a friend!
Same here! I have tons of projects (20+) play lists on tutorials but they will have to wait. I am trying these tonight after work. SO CUTE!!! Cant wait to try these in every color yarn I have 😃
I love that you have your tutorials on UA-cam! As a beginner I find it hard to read patterns and the way you show how to do it here makes it so easy! Thank you for making this!
Never have I ever smiled so big or giggled at the end of a crochet project. That Flower Pot Coasters is the cutest thing I've ever seen. Thank you for the lovely idea.
Looove this pattern thanks so much. Ended up buying the pattern (didn’t use it, video is really thorough) but wanted to show my appreciation. Making for my grandmother and I think I’m about to become favourite grandchild ;)
I made the pot from this for the succulent coasters from your other tutorial. I didn’t have corded yarn, so I took two strands of cotton yarn for every stitch and a 4,5mm hook (it was the only one on hand at the moment, 5mm might have worked as well). Instead of increasing in row 7, I had too decrease every forth stitch for the shape to be tight enough, still came out great.
Aww happy you like it! 💖 Yes, that's what I tell for those who don't have corded yarn. Good idea to decrease I didn't think of that. Happy you figured it out.
The excitement towards your projects is absolutely contagious! makes me want to pick up a hook as if I’m not watching at 4am, your talent of creating something is second only to your enthusiasm towards creating! it’s hard to put into words but your videos are so full of good energy
My daughter in college sent me your TikTok asking for this!! I l didn't know your channel and looked all over for a similar coaster pattern before I found you - I'm so happy I found the Exact one she wanted! She'll be over the moon!
Im def making this and giving it to my mother in law as a gift for her home in malaysia 😭❤️ perfact gift to when i reunite with her ❤️ thankyou for shairing ❤️
Hi hi. I've started yesterday and I just don't LIKE it... I LOVE IT!.... This is the BEST Birthday Gift for my Friend this Friday the 27th of Sept. 2024....and I know she is going to LOVED it... Thanks so much for your Video...🤗🌹
Bruna your work in croché is wonderful!!! you are very talented I love it and I amb glad to follow you in any work you make, i olso love croché and I have been making it since I was about six years old ( don’t tell anybody but I am 78 right now)thanks for showing us. Rosa😊
Thank you so much for this great tutorial. It was so easy to follow. I just completed a set for my stepmom. Was so much fun and everybody is raving about them I did 8 mini roses with leaves instead of the tulip petals but would never have gotten it done without your wonderful idea.
I finally finished mine!! I am actually crying it is so freaking cute!!! It is one thing to see it in the video and another to actually hold it in your hands once it is done 😍 I'm obsessed. Thank you for the idea and tutorial, and I'm going to tag you on Instagram once I upload the pictures. So many other people made tutorials of this here on UA-cam suggesting it is their original pattern, it's so sad!
Definitely going to make this for a coworker. He might be getting a few giggles, but he'll have some color on his desk and he'll have something to put his glass of water on! Plus, it looks cool and I've read somewhere that men don't get a lot of flowers, so now he'll have non-deteriorating flowers!
I am a beginner and I have LOVED making these! I'm sending them out as mother's day gifts, and I know that it will be really special for them! I only had worsted yarn on hand, used a 5.0 hook with pretty tight tension, and they are about the diameter of a medium/small bowl. At this size, they work well as a standalone gift that fits in a tiny terracotta pot :)
Oh my God, beautiful! Definitely a mother's day gift for my mom! And thanks so much for actual closed captioning and not the auto generated!! 💜Those are so difficult for crochet videos.
Thanks so much for this! It’s the perfect Mother’s Day gift. I had a LOT of trouble with the flower portion of this design (not your fault at all, I’m just a beginner), but after a few tries I managed to get the hang of it!
I had my Problems with the pot too, I still haven‘t managed to do it right. I just gifted the coasters to my mom and if I happen to crochet the pot properly I gift it to her later
Saw this from your reddit post and instantly came here to subscribe. This is the cutest thing EVER and I need to make this for myself and all my friends. Such a good idea, girl, you’re KILLING IT!!!
I’m new to crocheting - but it might be the type of yarn you’re using? Acrylic holds its shape well and is less flimsy/lacy. Could also maybe be how much tension you have on the string. Maybe too tight or too loose? Just suggestions. I could be wrong.
It could be because ur pulling to hard so they gather up and create that look or ur using extremely thin yarn that can also give it an effect like that. I’m not a beginner crocheter. I’ve been crocheting for nearly a year now 😊. Hope this helped!
Honestly I had the same issue so I made a few changes and it looked A LOT better. Instead of doing 4 double crochets, I did 5. And then for the top petals, I did chain 3’s instead of 2’s. And I did the top repeat pattern 4x instead of 3. It was larger, but I felt like it read better overall.
Thank you for this amazing gift idea! I’m going to see how many I can make in the next 10 days to give as Mother’s Day gifts to the special women in my life. ❤
Just made a set for my aunts birthday. It was so easy and fun to make. About to start on another one for Mother’s Day. Thank you for the easy tutorial to follow!👍

I absolutely LOVE this idea. That is super cute!!! I’m currently working on an afghan as a gift. Once that project is completed I’m going to make this. Thank you for sharing!!
Hola Bruna, no te había visto, pero me encanta lo que haces, nos motivas a tejer más, felicidades eres genial, gracias, muchas gracias, saludos desde Monterrey, México 🇲🇽
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! I completed the pot and 2 coasters in just a couple of hours. I wish I could post a picture of how cute it came out. Very easy video to follow and the video is well done!
I just love love love this little pot of flowers, I have been looking for something new or at least exciting to inspire me to crochet again. Thank you for this idea I am so excited to make these as gifts. ❤😊
thank you so much for this video!! i’m still relatively new to crocheting but the way you’ve made this is so comfortable to follow along to, i’m going to make a purple and blue (two coasters with flowers of each colour) for my little sister for her birthday she’s gonna love it!! 🩷
Wow wow wow!!! I'm new to crocheting and this video is intimidating and to me (your speed is insanely fast!) but I am DETERMINED to learn and make this!! I can't wait to make it in various colours and gift them to my loved ones!!❤
Hi, I just learnt how to crochet recently and this was my first project! It’s almost finished, just need to weave in the ends but thankyou it’s such a cute idea and a gift for my mum too!

It's hard to come up with something original nowadays, but after a lot of brainstorming hehehe I did it! And I am so happy everyone is liking it! 🥰 My grandma was the one who showed me how to make this coaster pattern, she used to make it as placemats, then I thought omg that can turn into coasters too! Is there any other alternative to the tai Sublime white as I can't find it in my local shops x
Yes, please let us know what yarn can be substituted for the yarn you used. This is such a cute gift idea!

Aww so happy you like it! 💗 yes! Very true! 💖💖
help no matter how i do it, the tulip part looks really bad, like a bundle of knots. its horrible. why does it do that??
I’m new to crocheting - but it might be the type of yarn you’re using? Acrylic holds its shape well and is less flimsy/lacy. Could also maybe be how much tension you have on the string. Maybe too tight or too loose? Just suggestions. I could be wrong.

Check your gauge. It should be in her written pattern. But weight 4 yarn with a 3.5mm hook did just right for me. Also I went with 100% cotton yarn
Agreed it really does look horrible, not at all like a tulip, and the fact that I can't make it frustrates me even more.
this has to be the cutest thing i have ever seen!!!!
ooooh i’ve been looking for a new project since i finished yet ANOTHER pair of socks from the pattern you posted a little while ago! 🤩❤️
Aww so happy to hear you made my sock pattern! And a second pair!!! ❤ And so happy you like this project! 💕
