Local sounds brilliant and I absolutely love Maigret. Great selection. I think so far this year my top books (in no particular order) would be JL Carr’s A Month in the Country, Jaqueline Harpmen’s I Who Have Never Known Men, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, MAUS by Art Spiegelman and True Grit by Charles Portis. I have also really enjoyed some Charlie Chan and Perry Mason 😊. Great video 👍🏼
"The Three Musketeers" is my all time favorite book ever and I've even read the Count's story as well but nothing has come close to it. Have reread it over the years and will no doubt do it again, along with the rest of the D'Artagnan Romances that came after it. Dumas is simply the best.
Dumas is a goal of mine as well, I’ve been putting him off for sometime. My book of the year will probably be Dracula by Bram Stoker. Great list will have to add them to my reading list.
1- we begin at the end-Chris Whitaker 2- bloodline- Jess Lourey 3-she rides shotgun- Jordan Harper 4- blind side- William Bayer 5- little scarlet-Walter Mosley

I have a lot of Dumas to read, which in some ways is a good thing as that means I have plenty of catching up to do 😀

I haven't gotten to Dracula yet, although I do own a copy. One for 2025 maybe

There are a couple of authors there I’m familiar with but not all, so I’ll be checking them out. Thanks for your comment. Merry Christmas 🎄
